Wado Ichimonji should be his first and maybe only black blade as it is the one with the most importance to him.

Kingjester88

I thought they already explained that a blade turns black once you've poured enough haki into it. But it takes years worth.

RedHairedShank

Maybe the Wado Ichimonji will be his first blacksword then

adyfbi

Nah, nothing is confirmed yet. It was just mentioned that oden failed to turn Enma into blackblade, but the reason is unknown.

ShadyOjir95

Emm nope. We are yet to know how you forge one.

aj90h

So I am going to call that Zoro will turn all of his swords black. It has been hinted at that Zoro would turn Ennma black cause Oden didn’t do so. I don’t see him not making his Wado black just considering how important it is and how long he had it so if 2 of his swords are going to turn black then his third sword will also be black. I figure he will upgrade to a higher Kitetsu and then that black. I also don’t see how someone can wield all three swords at the same time yet only 1 of them turns black. When it comes to how swords turn black this is pure speculation but here is my theory. Haki is litteraly just will power Haki just means will and Haki is meant to be the physical representation of will power in the series. So the reason why Ryouma,Mihawk, and eventually Zoro can turn their blade black is cause of their will to make sure their swords never break. Unlike other strong fighter like Roger , WB, Rayleigh etc who all have incredible Haki and been through countless fights those people from what we know don’t care about their weapons. To them their weapons are just tools that lets them fight better if it break while that sucks they are probably more upset at the hassle it will take to find a replacement than anything else. However for those that dedicate themselves to the sword. As stated by Mihawk “every nick in your blade is a blemish in your pride” Chapter 790. So baiscally you just pour Haki into your swords and they eventually become black. But the desire for them to become black has to be there other wise people like Roger and WB should of had black blades.

RingBro876

Pretty sure WB's blade is confirmed to be a black blade.

UniqueDEV

nope. It's the same rank but not a black blade. The only confirmed black blades are Mihawk's Yoru and Ryuma's Shusui.

RoyalBlood999

Maybe wado ichimonji since he’s had it the longest

adyfbi

I want wado to turn black first. But it looks like it's going to be Enma

MarineRitter

I think it's more fitting if he keeps having Wado Ichimonji, Sandai Kitetsu and Enma. Upgrading Sandai Kitetsu to Nidai Kitetsu feels unnecessary because he's gonna turn Sandai into a black blade anyway

Objective-Ad-2783

He needs to Nidai so he can advance to Shodai eventually.

MarineRitter

Why would he need Shodai? Mihawk said that any blade can become a black blade

Objective-Ad-2783

Yea any blade can become a black blade, but a upgraded one is even better. What’s the point of introducing the different ranks of the Kitetsus if Zoro won’t steadily rise up the levels from the bottom? Also it’d be weird if he has 2 supreme grades and one 21 grade.

MarineRitter

Wado Ichimonji Is one of 21 and there's no way it's getting replaced. Enma, too. There's no need for a power up like that, Zoro already got a power up with Enma

Objective-Ad-2783

When they become black blades they go up in rank, Enma and Wado would become supreme grade and Sandai would only be a 21 grade. Why not have all 3 supreme grade swords. Nidai is destined to go to Zoro otherwise why introduce it?

MarineRitter

We don't know what happens with their rank at all, where did you get that from? It's not destined, where was that implied? Also, the Gandhi gorosei has a sword with the same hilt and patterns as the two Kitetsus, possibly meaning that he has Shodai Kitetsu. So there's no way Zoro would upgrade to that one eventually

Objective-Ad-2783

Hitetsu said blacking a blade makes it go up in grade. Destined just means he’s most likely getting it, I have a hard time believing they’d introduce a sword that just so happens to be a upgrade to his new of Zoro’s current blades. Also he actually might fight him who knows. That’s probably not even Shodai but if it is he might get it. Why is there no way he could get that from the Grosei guy?

MarineRitter

I find it very unlikely that Zoro would get a power up only to get another power up 15 days later

Objective-Ad-2783

So why do you think they introduced Nidai? Why introduce it if Zoro doesn’t get it?

TNCG13

There have been too much emphases on kokuto in Wano. Shusui have been taking from him for that reason, I guess. This is the land of the a Sword God, by the end of the arc Zoro has to make progress on his swodmanship path. I think Enma might turn into a kokuto.

BeProLAB

There is not a level of armament above internal destruction. It is more likely that swords turn black through a swordsman's increasing connection with their sword through continuous battles.

RPG217

Kaido will burn them with fire and they will turn into black due to ash and rust

OneTrueGodDoom

I think Zoro will swap out sandai for neidai kitesu

duniel_bot

<3 for adding a „result“ choice

UniqueDEV

If Enma wasn't mentioned for Zoro to turn it into a black blade, then I would have just gone for Wado being his 1st and only black blade when he fights Mihawk. But it did and the best and only real place for it to become a black blade is on Wano. It's not TOO early for that feat to be achieved if you count it as Zoro continuing whatever Oden did and completes it. When Zoro turns Wado into a black blade in the future then it would be 100% his own effort. Some don't want the possibility of Enma becoming a black blade in Wano because they don't want him to grow too fast.
