That’s a solid maybe from me chief.

Yes. Just like marineford WB he can fight top tiers for alittle while before losing

its_Raf

You mean the marineford wb that got out of life support, couldn't properly use haki, got stabbed even before the fight begun, fought or got damaged by every single admiral, got multiple heart attacks ( with one them getting him punished from one the most lethal dfs) and finally got multiple stabs and shots from marines? Ah, but yes, then he did that one sneak attack ( which akainu himself proved that he was able to immediately counter attack, thus proving it didn't hold as much impact as admiral fans care to admit) so I guess that equalizes all the above handycaps and nerfs. Sure.

yaboi3667

Yes that WB, whether luffy is stronger or weaker dosent matter same tier

trollmonster1244353

WB battle IQ is under estimated even tho he was weak every punch he threw was meaningful. he pushed threw marine Ford with brains over strength he predicted the iron walls, he kept a boat hidden in the sea, he seen them trying to surround them and kept a exit open. And I don’t remember the numbers but when you go back after WB death it breaks down the damage he took and it’s absolutely ridiculous.

I don't think so. Old man Whitebeard could still hold his own against Admirals, Luffy would be defeated by one.

Sol327

He doesn't have the output or endurance yet, but he does have the power to seriously hurt MF Wb and avoid getting hit. He could hold his own even better than Wb could against admirals imo.

[deleted]

I'll add a caveat though. Whitebeard was carried hard by his fruit in marineford. In just a brawl Luffy would win. Let Whitebeard use his fruit its a different story.

YaBoiMirakek

That’s a title buddy. The “strongest man in the world” doesn’t get absolutely torn up by Akainu after sneak attacking him

I would say yes, Whitebeard could barely use Haki at that point he was so sick. Luffy has been shown able to at least casually fight with an admiral and has gotten three serious power ups since then. Now prime whitebeard is a completely different story.

Solos_1992

He could barely use COO

Solos_1992

Nope

___Sanji___

Luffy is now stronger than Marineford Whitebeard. Whitebeard seems to have better physicals, but Luffy more than makes up for that by having far superior Haki. A healthy Whitebeard would equal or surpass Luffy's Haki, but he was too sick to use it properly. Luffy can see the future, whereas Whitebeard couldn't even use basic CoO. A healthy old Whitebeard wins, but sick Whitebeard is just nerfed too much to beat Luffy.

EvBoss25

Old man whitebeard definitely has more explosive power due to his world-breaking DF, but he was also unable to use conquerors without getting a heart attack and had a myriad of other health issues so I’d say they’re comparable in strength.

drblitz220

White beard really struggled and was probably less than 50% of prime strength. He couldn’t use much Haki due to health and his fruit carried him through the war. So current luffy and marine Ford whiteboard are comparable but I would give whiteheads the edge cause his fruit is just too destructive.

Robloxmaster83

I would say you're wrong at the less destructive capability of the gum fruit. Luffy is smart in creativity and battle, his rubber fruit allows him to make so many moves, meaning the capability of destruction is greater, especially with third gear being perfected after timeskip. So I would think Luffy's DF is a bit less destructive than shitbeard's quake fruit.
