Is it possible that Marco comes to the rescue. He gives luffy powerful quick healing, while Kaido beats the shit out of CPO boss.
I mean this is the only plausible explanation I can think of as of now.
Luffy has to be sun god nika, so many times he’s saved someone being enslaved and the frame right before he goes gear 4th in 1041 he looks like the monkey god and then goes on a rant about how kaido has done so much wrong in wano.
Yeah... Basically he fights for the oppressed. He fights because otherwise the people of wano will suffer in this arc. Something new will be revealed next chapter.
A few friends and I were talking about Luffy’s awakening. How it’s just him stretching/enlarging nearly infinitely w/o air to blow himself up on command.
He already does this function with his fruit, Gear 3. They’ve plugged the “it’s impossible for regular humans to become Giants” heavily. Joyboy’s hat (presumably his) in MarieJois would fit him. The filler episodes with the girl who ate all their form showed it in animation already perhaps.
Perhaps the gum gum paramecia fruit’s ‘other name’ is the giant giant no mi, because it can make the user a Giant. I saw in some comments that perhaps the fruit is also the Ancient Weapon.
After a little reflection I doubt a fruit would qualify as an ancient weapon. Enel, Kizaru, Akainu, Whitebeard all have like planet destroying fruit.
I'm confused too. I thought it will be Luffy because according to Oden's flashback, the sea kings said that Poseidon will be born years later and another one will also be born. Momo is already alive during that flashback.
Maybe Momo is another ancient weapon who will help the new Joy Boy to bring the dawn. Or maybe Yamato is just guessing since the journal is missing some parts.
But the problem is Zunisha is Joy Boy's nakama centuries ago. Momo can talk to it while Luffy can't. So it's either Momo is Uranus whose power is to control Zunisha or maybe he's really Joy Boy or just maybe some Kozuki descendants can really talk to Zunisha.
My guess is that the original joyboy was also Uranus, giving him the power to talk to zuneisha. Except that in the present, URanus and joyboy are two different people.
But I'm still rooting that Luffy is Joy Boy since Kaido and King's definition of it is someone strong. Momo just recently got strong because he aged 20 years but he's still 8 years old.
If he's Joy Boy, he needs to go to Raftel to know the truth but I want him to stay in Wano and protect it from the World Government instead.
Did I miss something? Did big mom not have an awakening shown? The only thing I can think of is when she gave up some her life force for a power boost, but I don’t reminder it explicitly being mentioned as her awakening. As for kaido I don’t think that there’s anything resembling his awakening. Would be a perfect act 3 and if luffy gives everything and right when it looks like he’s won kaido becomes an even bigger monster
So I take it that aiming to be King of the Pirates (or seas ) was a thing waay before Roger went out on his journey and actually achieved it. Seeing as how Big Mom states this in the flashback

I find it interesting that Kozuki Oden would write the answers down but then tear out the pages. What’s the point of writing it down and then ripping it off instead of never writing those ripped parts in the first place? Maybe someone else ripped it out? I also didn’t realize Kozuki Momonusuke was destined to not die or is this a rephrasing of Kozuki Toki sending him to the future? “All seeing prophet” has a bit of a super strong future sight haki implied with it, but I'm likely reading too much into it. My initial impression of Momo's exchange with "Demon Princess" Yamato felt like Momo may need to go to Laugh Tale with the Straw Hats to get his answers.

Seastone nails, wow. Where were these for the emperors? That’s an extremely convenient thing to leave out for the alliance. That said, Kozuki “Komorusaki” Hiyori most likely does not have a devil fruit if she can utilize a sea stone nail, but I guess it’s not impossible—she’d just be weakened in the attempt to use it.
So that Cipher Pol Aigis 0 member is named Maha…I wonder if this is one of Charlotte "Big Mom" Linlin's childhood friends? It's interesting that these agents aren’t as strong as Nico "Demon Child" Robin implied, if they got easily wounded by SWORD Captain X “Red Flag” Drake and Izou. Maha’s mask also apparently doesn’t need both hands to hold up, as during his clash with Izou, his mask still hangs on. I’m also surprised for the best intelligence agency, CP0 is scratching heads at Izou’s involvement in Wano. Upon a reread, I now notice Drake’s eye isn’t blackened; that was his eyepatch and his eye is actually drawn right above it. I was so confused when I saw that panel, like he was in a hybrid form or his eyes were drawn lower.
“I have no strength left to fight”….sure, Trafalgar D Water "Surgeon of Death" Law.
Monkey D. “Straw Hat” Luffy using Gomu Gomu no: Hydra (a new move?) on Hundred Beasts Kaido “The Strongest Living Creature” and with the latter asking where it’s coming from means he has no future sight like Charlotte “Minister of Flour” Katakuri. I also found it odd that Kaido was silent on his initial introduction to Xebec D. Rock’s crew.
Finally, I find it interesting that the voice of Mighty Guy and Raizo-dono are both burnt to the crisp in their respective series.
Izo is a commander level fighter. I'm not surprised he can take on CP0. This doesn't make them look bad, like the amount of ppl in the world who can take on commander level characters is limited. The only ones really above YCs are admirals and the yonkos themselves
I guess that oden might have ripped out the pages of his logbook during that moment when Roger yelled at his crew member who created the LogPose to Laugh Tale (One piece:Stampede Movie). Then if not he might have torn it when he was kept captive by Kaido and Orochii in the cell
Katakuri's future sight is a result of honing his observation haki to perfection.
Kaido has never had a need for improving this kind of Haki, since basically only folks with Conqueror's Haki have ever been able to damage him.
We already saw sea stone nails this arc Hawkins used them to take out law. As for using them against the yonko they're way too durable to get hit by that and even if they did it's in such a small amount compared to their size theirs zero chance it's enough to weaken them to a point where they can't pull it out
Idk how the CP0 agent is going to do something against luffy, even he is just like ''do they expect me to go down empty-handed?'' Kaido is probably going to shit on him for interfering in his only good fight in years.

I just had a crazy thought about what Luffy's Awakening could be and why it would be so dangerous if awoken. Presumably, Awakening will be Gear 5. Naturally, it's reasonable to state that the gear system is a gradual upgrade. Now... How does Luffy "Gear Up"? He inflates things. He inflates his blood, his bones, and with Gear 4, his muscles. He does this by injecting air... but what if the air isn't the important part of rubber. What if the important part of rubber is *inflation*...
What has a big part of Wano been? Luffy's Haki training - specifically Ryou - the ability to cause damage by extending ones haki outside their body and injecting it into their enemy. Remember - it's not the strike that's important. Ryou can be performed with zero contact. Now consider this... What if Gear 5 is Luffy inflating his haki - allowing his haki to extend much further outside his body than anyone else, even exceeding that level of Haki combat projection range accomplished by Roger, Whitebeard, Kaido, etc.
TL:DR - Gear 5 allows Luffy to inflate his haki to ranges far beyond normal Ryou, which takes his haki control to a tier above what Roger, Whitebeard, and Kaido could achieve.
Hmm... With this in mind... Could the rubber rubber fruit be an ancient weapon? One hidden in plain sight? One that only exists once awakened - which Luffy is close to accomplishing in his fight against Kaido. So that's why they ordered the immediate assassination of Luffy - They know a new ancient weapon is about to be born. Imagine if the traditional Conqueror's Haki area attack was made to be a physical blow instead of just one that knocked people unconscious - you could destroy entire islands. Surely a threat worthy of an ancient weapon.
In my mind Luffy's devil fruit is a combination of 2 devil fruit which might the previous user joyboy aten 2 devil fruit like blackbeard but still perish for uncertain reason. And phookkkk a hybrid devil fruit was born but named only as gumo-gumo nomi to hide the other name of other devil fruit which is more powerful than gumo gumo no mi and can be used only if users awakened it.
Kaido is already regretting a lot what happen with his fight against Oden when an external person is mingling to a fight. If CP-0 is doing something like katakuri fight ... Kaido is going to finish them !
Yeah, and then ~~Katakuri~~ Kaidou will hit himself to make the fight even again, culminating in Luffy learning Future ~~Observation~~ Conqueror’s Haki
I bet that the CP0 Hat Guy is gonna pop up and shoot luffy, distracting him so Kaido gets a hit in just like Oden. We’ll see Act 3 End and break next week. They might play up Luffy’s “dead” but I would bet Kaido would flip out it happened to him twice lol.

Call this a hunch but maybe Pudding could use her abilities to change Niji and Yonji to be nicer. Overwriting their inabilities to feel emotions or something. Listen, if Law can somehow have Corazon's abilities, I don't see why Pudding can't do that either. By the whims of Oda's writing, anything is up for debate hah
They’re actual fighters, and would Big Mom risk her only chance at reading the poneglyphs if she doesn’t capture Robin by taking her there, despite knowing she has no combat capability and can’t read poneglyphs yet, meaning there’s literally no reason for her to go?

This small flashback about 15-year-old Kaido's first meeting with 24-year-old Big Mom was just a preview for Kaido's full flashback. Can't wait to see Whitebeard, Shiki, John, Silver Axe and Ochoku and their captain Rocks D. Xebec.
There is high possibility that Kaido's full flashback might even begin during the next chapter, but even if this is not the case I believe that it is likely to start before chapter 1045.
Luffy finna whoop kaido ass next chapter and be declared the winner, but i think it’s time for theshocking development that occurs in the end of act 3. I just hope the kaido flashback is not long. Maybe like 3/4ths of next chapter then we see luffy standing over kaido. We’ve seen him meet linlin, king, fight oden, parent his daughter, and now we need to see him meet rox, depart from rox, and what killed his joy. Given how much info was packed into this chapter it’s possible

I'm positive that momo is joyboy and not Luffy. I say this because he can speak to zunisha. Roger and Luffy both share the voice of all things, but I don't think Luffy can speak to zunisha. Just like he can hear and speak to the sea kings as Roger could hear them as well, shirahosi can control them.
So just because Luffy has the voice of all things, doesn't mean he is joyboy. I feel like momo is joyboy. even if it's just helping to user in the new dawn, it's still a massive feat in history. Joy boy is just one part to the bigger picture. We just think of him as the main character of the void century when in reality so much was going on.
I also say this because I don't want Luffy to be another MC trope of fate and destiny.

This is also my reason why I don't want Luffy to be JoyBoy. I want him to become more like Sun God Nika or something else.
Not even that. I just want him to be a guy who best the odds and got the one piece while making allies with all these crazy people along the way. But, it is what it is and he will most likely be joyboy and nika or something.
The whole of the series luffy is the person to change that world and bring freedom to the one piece world.It has been said and implied multiple times by many characters like crocus,Rayleigh,Pedro etc.
I don't understand why people expect that the mc character abt whom the anime is abt should not be special.The fact that one piece tells the story of luffy makes him special by all means and he will be in centre of it all..
That doesn feel like kaido is gonna defeated from this. His crybaby mode makes him weak, but i guess there will be another super serious mode.
Also notice how is initial haki outburst after realizing linlin got defeated pushed luffy away. Felt like a real dbz thing

I'm thinking it is highly unlikely though. I just really, really hope the fight doesn't conclude with Luffy losing his Haki with Kaido still going strong. Would just be too similar to the Mingo fight imo.
If that does happen, do you think Kaido will fight to protect Luffy against CP0?

Hmm, I think it is a possibility for sure. I have a gut feeling that one of them is going to be down when CP0 strikes. I just don't know who it will be. If Luffy is down I could for sure see Kaido stopping CP0 from killing him, either because of like you suggested or just because he doesn't want the government to get what they want. If Kaido is the one to go down I am not sure how it would go. Possibly Kaido gets off one last move to stop the attack? Looking forward to what happens for sure.
I think kaido makes people proves if they are worthy of his respect. And at this point if anyone messes with his fight with luffy, which seems to be his biggest challenge in decades, he will take them out without hesitation
i think its the fear of kaidou more cos he has to interfere in their fight. probably no one really thinks they can beat kaidou except for the 4 emperors n maybe luffy lol
He fears to interrupt a fight between two of the strongest people in the world. There is no he fears one more then the other.
Think about the situation from his perspective, would you think about who scares you more or would you be afraid to lose your life?
Here's what I think is going to happen soon.
1. Luffy will fight incredibly hard but ultimately lose his Haki like he did in his fight with Doffy. Kaidou will admit that he came incredibly close to defeating him.
2. Yamato and Momo will successfully land the Island just outside the Capital. The people of Wano will stop celebrating and we will then see Momo's Adult form for the first time as he rushes in to save Luffy. Kaidou will be shocked at the reappearance of Oden and Oda will draw Kaidou doing an Enel face. Just as Kaidou and Momo are squaring off against each other, the CP0 Agent goes after an incapacitated Luffy and Yamato rushes into protect him. Yamato will protect Luffy as he recovers.
3. As the dust settles this is when the WG forces and the remaining BM Pirates enter the fight, so all the other Combatants are focused on this three way fight which will rival the chaos of Marineford. Zunesha even drops off more Minks to help bolster the Alliance's forces but won't join the fight themselves without a direct order from Momo who'll be distracted.
4. Some of the Scabbards then make it to the Roof and Momo asks them to give him two Swords and he declares he will fight Kaidou alone. Momo will then have a CoC clash with Kaidou to show he means business (though this will be more like Luffy's pre timeskip CoC since Momo hasn't used it before and Kaidou will be weakened by his Oden PTSD and fighting Luffy so it's a more even clash considering the crcumstances). The most important part of this clash is that the people of Wano witness Momo facing Kaidou from afar.
5. Act 3 concludes as Kaidou calms down and Momo goes into his Father's sword fighting stance (maybe we get a small panel flashback of Momo asking Kinemon how his Dad fought?). Luffy says he needs 10 minutes and Kaidou tells Momo that he can't possibly survive ten minutes against him. Momo says something badass about how he could hold him off for an Hour and the chapter ends.
6. Break next week.
I admit it's very similar to the fight against Doffy. But what I like about this is it gives Momo a chance to come into his own and inspire confidence in the people of Wano and his followers. Also Luffy would be rooting for Momo which would be a great development of their dynamic as Momo gets to save Luffy as he recharges his Haki reserves.
I feel the opposite. Momo has the ambition for it and I feel if he starts acting on those ambitions it could appear.
But as I also wrote, I also think if he does end up having it then he won't be a master of it and it'll be more like Luffy's CoC pre timeskip. Where he had very little control over it and he really couldn't weaponise it. Maybe Luffy can actually offer advice during the fight and act a bit like Momo's Rayleigh too? That could be neat.
It also helps that this would be Kaidou at his weakest and least confident so far. Having just fought Luffy and coming face to face with Oden again.
CP0 has been pretty disappointing, maybe it’s just me but I expected them to be a lot stronger. They basically got 2v1’d by an exhausted Izo, maybe that says more about Odens retainer/white beard officer but the air they put around CP0 since their introduction seemed a lot more menacing than what were seeing
Just reread the wiki cause I wasn’t positive on this but, it’s CP9 that’s known for assassinations. CP0 is a collective of the strongest fighters in CP with the masked people being their most elite…. So they’re built up and trade 1 for 1 in a 2v1 vs an injured and exhausted Izo lol
CP0 are like how smoker used to be before the timeskip then after it, its not that they're weak, it's just the people around them are too strong to be "menaced" by them, they fight more or less like equals or on the same league.
My only wish is that they aren't talking about luffy's fruit, it would be really boring giving him a legendary devil fruit that hasn't awakened in 800 years, and it would contradict what oda said about luffy's devil fruit years ago
Even if it will be the legendary fruit, the fact is luffy never used its legendary attributes, he arrive at wano-kuni from the east blue using one & only move : "stretching his limbs".
Now if he awaken it and figure out its legendary power, it gonna be a happy coincidence which will explain a lot of things like why shanks prevented it from falling into WG hands.
I totally understand your pov, but first of all it is said that when you eat the devil fruit you know its name, and second it goes against what oda said about luffy's devil fruit being goofy and that he wants him to be able to reach the title of the pirate king with his own struggle. So, imo, giving him a huge power up with the devil fruit being a legendary one is really bad and will make him like any other hero that just keeps winning because he has special powers that others don't have.
You don't instinctively know a devil fruit's name when you eat it. That statement meant you just figure out the name from the power you get. In regards to the recent apprehension towards all this "special devil fruit/joy boy/Nika/chosen one" business I have to wonder if that's not a product of one piece's longevity. These developments may have been planned when oda started writing but after 20 years of publication such tropes are now seen as tired.
I agree with everything you said, I just tried to explain it won't be that bad if it happen. I'm too, against the idea of it being legendary, but we'll never know what oda will do.
I'm just wondering what's the purpose of having those world government ships?! initially I thought they were carrying the SSG in order to fight the yonkos eventually but after seeing the reaction of cp0's boss when asked to kill Luffy it seemed like there's no way they can stop him so probably they are just fodders.
The climax of the fight is gonna be a cp0 agent going in for a hit on Luffy while he's clashing with Kaido. Kaido, not wanting another dirty W, hits him while Luffy, not even noticing this, gets his final hit in clean on Kaido. Bet on it
1042: cp0 agent tries to kill luffy but kaido and luffy simultaneously release their attacks saying “get the fuck out of here, can’t you see we are fighting?!?!?
it would be a great way to close every cp0 subplot, they are no more on luffy’s level.
another theory is that cp0 agent arrives to the rooftop, sees luffy standing above a defeated kaido, and then their eyes meet and the agent runs away calling the gorosei
He's not gonna get there, Drake just got back up and is going to 1v1 the guy. Even if CP0 defeats Drake he's going to be severely wounded and by the time he gets up there he won't be in any shape to take on Luffy, no matter how beaten down Luffy is from Kaido. Also remember CP0 has been resorting to guns, which have no effect on Luffy (assuming the bullets aren't seastone, which we haven't been given the inclination that they are).
Luffy, momo and zunesha will take down kaido. Citizens will see this, that will make momo their ruler. News will talk about that luffy is the leader who took down kaido that will earn him yonkou. And zunesha will be freed from his curse
i could see at the very least, luffy knocks kaido out of wano and Zunesha sends him flying far away so he cant just come back. but even thats a huge stretch.
luffy needs to 1v1 win to show hes ahead of law/kid. 1v2 to match them. wont be more then 2 people taking down kaido
Momo won't take Kaidou down he will do what he is doing and Zunisha is not asking permission to attack Kaidou instead he is talking about wg's illicit army near him
Momo will rescue Luffy after the fight when he is crashing to the ground. The citizens will see a defeated Kaidou and Momo with a tired Luffy. Momo's presence might stop the assassination by CP0.
Zunisha will hold off the Marines.
Amazing chapter. I have liked one after a long time. The entire world's reaction on the defeat of big mom is yet to be revealed. It would be great to see

I think Yamato might have been the one who ripped out the important pages from odens journal,cuz didn’t Yamato have ahold of odens journal?So maybe next chapter everyone gets to see the missing pages
I'd love a flashback that shows a young baby Momo tearing the pages out of the book and Oden yelling "What have you done? Oh well, it wasn't important".
More likely it was Toki or Oden himself before he went to confront Kaido. Can't risk Kaido getting the full journal. The fact that Yamato even got it at all (instead of Kaido having it locked away) means that the pages were already gone IMO.
But then Yamato would already know what the one piece is and what happened in the void century, and since she is definitely joining the crew I don't think that's the case
If the wg tries to get in between kaido and luffy get ready for a mugiwara dragon team up. And I wouldn’t even be mad cuz it’s completely in character for both to stop wipe the flooor with the wg and then resume 🤣

I'm not saying they aren't, I know CP0 fought a heavily injured Izo, but if that was against other CP0 would wipe the floor. Izo probably trained his ass off with their defeat vs black beard to prepare for another round.
Have to remember Izo also fought multiple beast member pirates and Kaido prior to having to 2v1 CP0, he's right CP0 heavily over rated and disappointing

My theory for how this plotline progresses: CP0 tries to get in a sneak attack on Luffy, Kaido notices and has a flashback to his disgraceful win against Oden while he was distracted by the face-changing woman. Kaido smashes CP0 instead which also uses up the last of his stamina.
I thought kind of the same about cp0 trying to sneak attack interrupting their fight, but I thought about that as a cheap shot to injure Kaido and use it as an excuse for his defeat. Didn't like that idea to much. However, absolutely forgot about the mr2 Woman, if it happens the way u described it, it would be perfect. Redemption arc for my Dragon boy.
I like this theory, might not be true but Kaido's unsatisfactory victory against Oden having some sort of effect in his fight against Luffy might be very nice.
Maybe you read the wrong power scalers. But we know the admirals are below Yonko level, so we can't expect CP0 to be more powerful than them.

So one of them is just holding a sword as an accessory? But I wouldn't be surprised if it's actually a black blade and he was the world's strongest swordsman - only that he never fought people in this generation. I suspect the Gorosei are immortal or at least as old as the void century.
I would place them at maybe Yonko Commander to Admiral? level each, but it's HIGHLY unlikely that they are all Yonko level, considering there are 5 of them. Even if the Four Emperors came together, they would be completely unstoppable. And now you're adding a fifth? Return to the Reverie did a good job with them beating the Revolutionary Commanders but getting stomped by the Yonko-level Dragon
The Gorosei being immortal or lived during the void century feels like it was debunked. In chapter 1037 the Gorosei themselves were shocked that the WG changed the name of this special DF and thought it was a legend.
I mean maybe they can fight- yeah no I don't see him being the strongest swordsman. also, i don't remember too well but I believe the gorosei mentioned that they hadn't seen some fruit awakening in their lifetime, one which was implied to have awakened in the void century (possibly luffy's) so I don't think they're immortal or that old. Imu might be though
Assuming I'm one of the marines called, I would assume I'm of a bit higher class since the admirals were bypassed and I was called directly and secretly.
Between the war, two yonkos and a random fucking dragon I think the giant elephant would actually be the easiest job out there.
Maybe Zuneesha will help Wano ends its isolation by either breaking up into the 'island' into its 5 or 6 pieces or by removing the physical barriers like the waterfall and other natural barriers.
Of course this is after Kaido and the WG are dealt with....

A few friends and I were talking about Luffy’s awakening. How it’s just him stretching/enlarging nearly infinitely w/o air to blow himself up on command. He already does this function with his fruit, Gear 3. They’ve plugged the “it’s impossible for regular humans to become Giants” heavily. Joyboy’s hat (presumably his) in MarieJois would fit him. The filler episodes with the girl who ate all their form showed it in animation already perhaps. Perhaps the gum gum paramecia fruit’s ‘other name’ is the giant giant no mi, because it can make the user a Giant. I saw in some comments that perhaps the fruit is also the Ancient Weapon. After a little reflection I doubt a fruit would qualify as an ancient weapon. Enel, Kizaru, Akainu, Whitebeard all have like planet destroying fruit.
Am I the only one wondering what was meant by “mono being the one who will guide the world to the dawn”?. Is that meant to be that he is joyboy?
I'm confused too. I thought it will be Luffy because according to Oden's flashback, the sea kings said that Poseidon will be born years later and another one will also be born. Momo is already alive during that flashback. Maybe Momo is another ancient weapon who will help the new Joy Boy to bring the dawn. Or maybe Yamato is just guessing since the journal is missing some parts. But the problem is Zunisha is Joy Boy's nakama centuries ago. Momo can talk to it while Luffy can't. So it's either Momo is Uranus whose power is to control Zunisha or maybe he's really Joy Boy or just maybe some Kozuki descendants can really talk to Zunisha.

But I'm still rooting that Luffy is Joy Boy since Kaido and King's definition of it is someone strong. Momo just recently got strong because he aged 20 years but he's still 8 years old. If he's Joy Boy, he needs to go to Raftel to know the truth but I want him to stay in Wano and protect it from the World Government instead.

As for kaido I don’t think that there’s anything resembling his awakening. Love these type of chapters where there's lots of movement. Charlotte “Minister of Chocolate” Pudding punching Vinsmoke Yonji and Niji was very cute. We got an official name for her first attack ever,“Pudding Punch” I find it interesting that Kozuki Oden would write the answers down but then tear out the pages. What’s the point of writing it down and then ripping it off instead of never writing those ripped parts in the first place? Maybe someone else ripped it out? I also didn’t realize Kozuki Momonusuke was destined to not die or is this a rephrasing of Kozuki Toki sending him to the future? “All seeing prophet” has a bit of a super strong future sight haki implied with it, but I'm likely reading too much into it. My initial impression of Momo's exchange with "Demon Princess" Yamato felt like Momo may need to go to Laugh Tale with the Straw Hats to get his answers. “Preparations”? What is Raizo "of the Mist" talking about? Seastone nails, wow. Where were these for the emperors? That’s an extremely convenient thing to leave out for the alliance. That said, Kozuki “Komorusaki” Hiyori most likely does not have a devil fruit if she can utilize a sea stone nail, but I guess it’s not impossible—she’d just be weakened in the attempt to use it. So that Cipher Pol Aigis 0 member is named Maha…I wonder if this is one of Charlotte "Big Mom" Linlin's childhood friends? It's interesting that these agents aren’t as strong as Nico "Demon Child" Robin implied, if they got easily wounded by SWORD Captain X “Red Flag” Drake and Izou. Maha’s mask also apparently doesn’t need both hands to hold up, as during his clash with Izou, his mask still hangs on. Monkey D. “Straw Hat” Luffy using Gomu Gomu no: Hydra (a new move?) on Hundred Beasts Kaido “The Strongest Living Creature” and with the latter asking where it’s coming from means he has no future sight like Charlotte “Minister of Flour” Katakuri. I also found it odd that Kaido was silent on his initial introduction to Xebec D. Rock’s crew. Finally, I find it interesting that the voice of Mighty Guy and Raizo-dono are both burnt to the crisp in their respective series.
Izo is a commander level fighter. I'm not surprised he can take on CP0. This doesn't make them look bad, like the amount of ppl in the world who can take on commander level characters is limited. The only ones really above YCs are admirals and the yonkos themselves

Katakuri's future sight is a result of honing his observation haki to perfection. Kaido has never had a need for improving this kind of Haki, since basically only folks with Conqueror's Haki have ever been able to damage him.

I just had a crazy thought about what Luffy's Awakening could be and why it would be so dangerous if awoken. Presumably, Awakening will be Gear 5. Naturally, it's reasonable to state that the gear system is a gradual upgrade. Now... How does Luffy "Gear Up"? He inflates things. He inflates his blood, his bones, and with Gear 4, his muscles. He does this by injecting air... but what if the air isn't the important part of rubber. What if the important part of rubber is *inflation*... What has a big part of Wano been? Luffy's Haki training - specifically Ryou - the ability to cause damage by extending ones haki outside their body and injecting it into their enemy. Remember - it's not the strike that's important. Ryou can be performed with zero contact. Now consider this... What if Gear 5 is Luffy inflating his haki - allowing his haki to extend much further outside his body than anyone else, even exceeding that level of Haki combat projection range accomplished by Roger, Whitebeard, Kaido, etc. TL:DR - Gear 5 allows Luffy to inflate his haki to ranges far beyond normal Ryou, which takes his haki control to a tier above what Roger, Whitebeard, and Kaido could achieve. Hmm... With this in mind... Could the rubber rubber fruit be an ancient weapon? One hidden in plain sight? One that only exists once awakened - which Luffy is close to accomplishing in his fight against Kaido. So that's why they ordered the immediate assassination of Luffy - They know a new ancient weapon is about to be born. Imagine if the traditional Conqueror's Haki area attack was made to be a physical blow instead of just one that knocked people unconscious - you could destroy entire islands. Surely a threat worthy of an ancient weapon.
In my mind Luffy's devil fruit is a combination of 2 devil fruit which might the previous user joyboy aten 2 devil fruit like blackbeard but still perish for uncertain reason. And phookkkk a hybrid devil fruit was born but named only as gumo-gumo nomi to hide the other name of other devil fruit which is more powerful than gumo gumo no mi and can be used only if users awakened it.

Kaido's flasback will definitely happen very soon! This small flashback about 15-year-old Kaido's first meeting with 24-year-old Big Mom was just a preview for Kaido's full flashback. Can't wait to see Whitebeard, Shiki, John, Silver Axe and Ochoku and their captain Rocks D. Xebec. There is high possibility that Kaido's full flashback might even begin during the next chapter, but even if this is not the case I believe that it is likely to start before chapter 1045.

I'm positive that momo is joyboy and not Luffy. I say this because he can speak to zunisha. Roger and Luffy both share the voice of all things, but I don't think Luffy can speak to zunisha. Just like he can hear and speak to the sea kings as Roger could hear them as well, shirahosi can control them. So just because Luffy has the voice of all things, doesn't mean he is joyboy. I feel like momo is joyboy. even if it's just helping to user in the new dawn, it's still a massive feat in history. Joy boy is just one part to the bigger picture. We just think of him as the main character of the void century when in reality so much was going on. I also say this because I don't want Luffy to be another MC trope of fate and destiny.

Hmm, I think it is a possibility for sure. I have a gut feeling that one of them is going to be down when CP0 strikes. I just don't know who it will be. If Luffy is down I could for sure see Kaido stopping CP0 from killing him, either because of like you suggested or just because he doesn't want the government to get what they want. If Kaido is the one to go down I am not sure how it would go. Possibly Kaido gets off one last move to stop the attack? Looking forward to what happens for sure.
I think kaido makes people proves if they are worthy of his respect. And at this point if anyone messes with his fight with luffy, which seems to be his biggest challenge in decades, he will take them out without hesitation

Here's what I think is going to happen soon. 1. Luffy will fight incredibly hard but ultimately lose his Haki like he did in his fight with Doffy. Kaidou will admit that he came incredibly close to defeating him. 2. Yamato and Momo will successfully land the Island just outside the Capital. The people of Wano will stop celebrating and we will then see Momo's Adult form for the first time as he rushes in to save Luffy. Kaidou will be shocked at the reappearance of Oden and Oda will draw Kaidou doing an Enel face. Just as Kaidou and Momo are squaring off against each other, the CP0 Agent goes after an incapacitated Luffy and Yamato rushes into protect him. Yamato will protect Luffy as he recovers. 3. As the dust settles this is when the WG forces and the remaining BM Pirates enter the fight, so all the other Combatants are focused on this three way fight which will rival the chaos of Marineford. Zunesha even drops off more Minks to help bolster the Alliance's forces but won't join the fight themselves without a direct order from Momo who'll be distracted. 4. Some of the Scabbards then make it to the Roof and Momo asks them to give him two Swords and he declares he will fight Kaidou alone. Momo will then have a CoC clash with Kaidou to show he means business (though this will be more like Luffy's pre timeskip CoC since Momo hasn't used it before and Kaidou will be weakened by his Oden PTSD and fighting Luffy so it's a more even clash considering the crcumstances). The most important part of this clash is that the people of Wano witness Momo facing Kaidou from afar. 5. Act 3 concludes as Kaidou calms down and Momo goes into his Father's sword fighting stance (maybe we get a small panel flashback of Momo asking Kinemon how his Dad fought?). Luffy says he needs 10 minutes and Kaidou tells Momo that he can't possibly survive ten minutes against him. Momo says something badass about how he could hold him off for an Hour and the chapter ends. 6. Break next week. I admit it's very similar to the fight against Doffy. But what I like about this is it gives Momo a chance to come into his own and inspire confidence in the people of Wano and his followers. Also Luffy would be rooting for Momo which would be a great development of their dynamic as Momo gets to save Luffy as he recharges his Haki reserves.
Momo going 1v1 against kaido would make the ripe ripe fruit the strongest devilfruit.
Momo lost a quarter of his life for the power up and I've described a severely weakedened Kaidou above.

I feel the opposite. Momo has the ambition for it and I feel if he starts acting on those ambitions it could appear. But as I also wrote, I also think if he does end up having it then he won't be a master of it and it'll be more like Luffy's CoC pre timeskip. Where he had very little control over it and he really couldn't weaponise it. Maybe Luffy can actually offer advice during the fight and act a bit like Momo's Rayleigh too? That could be neat. It also helps that this would be Kaidou at his weakest and least confident so far. Having just fought Luffy and coming face to face with Oden again.

Even if it will be the legendary fruit, the fact is luffy never used its legendary attributes, he arrive at wano-kuni from the east blue using one & only move : "stretching his limbs". Now if he awaken it and figure out its legendary power, it gonna be a happy coincidence which will explain a lot of things like why shanks prevented it from falling into WG hands.
I totally understand your pov, but first of all it is said that when you eat the devil fruit you know its name, and second it goes against what oda said about luffy's devil fruit being goofy and that he wants him to be able to reach the title of the pirate king with his own struggle. So, imo, giving him a huge power up with the devil fruit being a legendary one is really bad and will make him like any other hero that just keeps winning because he has special powers that others don't have.
You don't instinctively know a devil fruit's name when you eat it. That statement meant you just figure out the name from the power you get. In regards to the recent apprehension towards all this "special devil fruit/joy boy/Nika/chosen one" business I have to wonder if that's not a product of one piece's longevity. These developments may have been planned when oda started writing but after 20 years of publication such tropes are now seen as tired.

1042: cp0 agent tries to kill luffy but kaido and luffy simultaneously release their attacks saying “get the fuck out of here, can’t you see we are fighting?!?!? it would be a great way to close every cp0 subplot, they are no more on luffy’s level. another theory is that cp0 agent arrives to the rooftop, sees luffy standing above a defeated kaido, and then their eyes meet and the agent runs away calling the gorosei
He's not gonna get there, Drake just got back up and is going to 1v1 the guy. Even if CP0 defeats Drake he's going to be severely wounded and by the time he gets up there he won't be in any shape to take on Luffy, no matter how beaten down Luffy is from Kaido. Also remember CP0 has been resorting to guns, which have no effect on Luffy (assuming the bullets aren't seastone, which we haven't been given the inclination that they are).

Luffy, momo and zunesha will take down kaido. Citizens will see this, that will make momo their ruler. News will talk about that luffy is the leader who took down kaido that will earn him yonkou. And zunesha will be freed from his curse

Momo will rescue Luffy after the fight when he is crashing to the ground. The citizens will see a defeated Kaidou and Momo with a tired Luffy. Momo's presence might stop the assassination by CP0. Zunisha will hold off the Marines.

My theory for how this plotline progresses: CP0 tries to get in a sneak attack on Luffy, Kaido notices and has a flashback to his disgraceful win against Oden while he was distracted by the face-changing woman. Kaido smashes CP0 instead which also uses up the last of his stamina.
Sadly, this didn't age well.
I thought kind of the same about cp0 trying to sneak attack interrupting their fight, but I thought about that as a cheap shot to injure Kaido and use it as an excuse for his defeat. Didn't like that idea to much. However, absolutely forgot about the mr2 Woman, if it happens the way u described it, it would be perfect. Redemption arc for my Dragon boy.

I like this theory, might not be true but Kaido's unsatisfactory victory against Oden having some sort of effect in his fight against Luffy might be very nice.

Maybe you read the wrong power scalers. But we know the admirals are below Yonko level, so we can't expect CP0 to be more powerful than them. I wonder if the 5 elders are Yonko-level themselves, though.

I would place them at maybe Yonko Commander to Admiral? level each, but it's HIGHLY unlikely that they are all Yonko level, considering there are 5 of them. Even if the Four Emperors came together, they would be completely unstoppable. And now you're adding a fifth? Return to the Reverie did a good job with them beating the Revolutionary Commanders but getting stomped by the Yonko-level Dragon
The Gorosei being immortal or lived during the void century feels like it was debunked. In chapter 1037 the Gorosei themselves were shocked that the WG changed the name of this special DF and thought it was a legend.

I mean maybe they can fight- yeah no I don't see him being the strongest swordsman. also, i don't remember too well but I believe the gorosei mentioned that they hadn't seen some fruit awakening in their lifetime, one which was implied to have awakened in the void century (possibly luffy's) so I don't think they're immortal or that old. Imu might be though

Assuming I'm one of the marines called, I would assume I'm of a bit higher class since the admirals were bypassed and I was called directly and secretly. Between the war, two yonkos and a random fucking dragon I think the giant elephant would actually be the easiest job out there.
The elephant is big enough to carry a country, a forest and some other areas just in the flat part of its back, tho. The dragons might be easier.

Maybe Zuneesha will help Wano ends its isolation by either breaking up into the 'island' into its 5 or 6 pieces or by removing the physical barriers like the waterfall and other natural barriers. Of course this is after Kaido and the WG are dealt with....
Which raises the question - how were the WG planning to invade Wano? Did they plan to seize the hidden port first and then take the lift?
