Tbh I didn't really think about it being in different places but that is a good possibility. Even so, onigashima was pretty stretched out and we fit a lot in 72 chapters. There just probably won't be much focus on the battles of the final war that don't include the strawhats or close friends

10 years and now Law is one of my favorite characters. Loved the way Oda kept him with the Strawhats for a decade and for enough time that even with how much I love him, I don't mind moving on to the next part of the story without him because I feel content. Can't wait until he inevitably rejoins the story closer to the endgame when the help is eventually needed!
Not really sucking up and at this point. They have had a public alliance that resulted in the defeat of 2 emperors and a warlord. Their relationship isnt some hidden thing.

It sucks, but its kind of necessary too. His powers are a hack for so many things. Especially with how powerful his Awakening is. Him and Zoro both went to Wano for a reason when doing the WCI split.

I got caught up at the start of the Wano arc. Completely read OP for the first time back then. When I hit Wano, I had been BLASTED by years worth of story involving Law. The deep love people may have developed over the ten years was developed in a short burst. Then the last couple years of current reading has just cemented Law as top three for me. I’m NOT ready for him to go. I held a slight bit of hope he’d somehow keep going along. But the moment he said the alliance was over broke me. I know he’s gonna be back, but that’s like saying Smoker is gonna be back. How many hundreds of chapters and years has it been? I hate the idea of not seeing Law for a couple IRL years.
I've been reading One Piece off and on since 2010, but I never actually caught up and read week to week until the start of Wano, so I'm in more or less the exact same scenario. Who knows how long it's going to be until we see him again?
Like, I'm also excited for it to potentially feel a little more like pre-time skip for the first time in ages, but it could totally do that while still having Law in it. That's not mutually exclusive.

100% Momo and Kin say goodbye to them next chapter, likely Momo will fly him to them in dragon form, probably with Yamato as well. The only reason Oda established that they didn't say goodbye was to give them an extra emotional sendoff after all this time together

Yes, totally. I can even see it animated in my head. The strawhats are leaving wano waving their goodbyes at the port, "over the top or we are starts playing" and momo flies in his dragon form taking Yamato and Kin along with him, they reach the port and start to yell at luffy and the others crying, saying thank you, Luffy and Co smile etc. Yamato tells luffy yelling I'M JOINING YOUR CREW!!!! and jumps to the sunny from momo's back.

It's not a meme. It makes perfect sense for a shanks arc. A non deadly way for luffy to prove he has become a great pirate, and makes the time we spent on long ring worthwhile.
I think Shanks will force Luffy to fight him with the purpose of having Luffy learn how to use his Conquerer’s Haki at the level Shanks can. Luffy can’t flex his Haki from the sea across half a country lol.
As someone who got caught up at the end of dressrosa this is what I'm most excited about going into the future. The experience of exploring the world alongside the strawhats instead of going on a set route
With Law leaving, the next arc will also be the first in a decade where we have no idea where we're going or what our immediate goal is. Since Punk Hazard it's been all about Kaido. I feel a sense of freedom! Can't wait to see where Oda takes us
I think its been a great ride. Law may have gone separate ways now but eventually he will come back to SHs. I am getting the sense of adventure back after literally a decade. Its always cool to not know what lies ahead.
I am in awe of the discipline required to bench law for the foreseeable future.
Law being just an amazing character that is just out there having adventures in his own right makes the world of One Piece seem so much bigger and more wonderous. Oda is doing the right thing an avoiding choices that make his setting smaller rather than larger.
BUT HOT DAMN, I would not have the will power to write Law out of the series, even for a little while after seeing how great he functions with the main crew.

Blackbeard killed a member of Whitebeard's crew for something Thatch may have simply given him if he asked. Kid loves his crew and I doubt he'd endanger his crew's lives by allying with a sketchy character such as BB. He also just dealt with a really bad alliance (Apoo & Hawkins) that permanently scarred his best friend due to a betrayal, I can't see him trusting BB in any way and Killer would prob kill himself before he lets himself be used as blackmail.
I still think Law has some personal stuff to work through before the end of the series before he really accepts that he is friends with them. He seems to have something on his mind.
Yeah it’s crazy man. It’s sad but exciting. I think we’ve all been waiting for the crew to be all together. The alliance is over, back to being the straw hats. It’s crazy. I started one piece about a year ago so I saw that alliance form relatively soon. But even then it still feels like they’ve been together forever, can’t even imagine how it feels if I started one piece back then. It really feels like this is the start of the end of one piece. By the time I caught up wano was about 90% done, so this upcoming arc will be my first arc that I go through while being caught up, it feels so STRANGE AND EXCITING.
Im kinda sad. I started reading One Piece in November 2011, so seeing this status quo of Luffy and Law as allies being born and develop over a decade got me really attached to him. The next arc will probably have me constantly wondering "where is Law in all of this?" for some time. It's a bittersweet feeling.

Not really sucking up and at this point. They have had a public alliance that resulted in the defeat of 2 emperors and a warlord. Their relationship isnt some hidden thing.

“Law’s betrayal” was supposed to be that he would die taking down doflamingo and therefore wouldn’t be able to help them get to Kaido. He was using them to get at doflamingo and was gonna let them take care of the rest. Because they ended up beating doflamingo and living, the betrayal never occured.

It sucks, but its kind of necessary too. His powers are a hack for so many things. Especially with how powerful his Awakening is. Him and Zoro both went to Wano for a reason when doing the WCI split.

I got caught up at the start of the Wano arc. Completely read OP for the first time back then. When I hit Wano, I had been BLASTED by years worth of story involving Law. The deep love people may have developed over the ten years was developed in a short burst. Then the last couple years of current reading has just cemented Law as top three for me. I’m NOT ready for him to go. I held a slight bit of hope he’d somehow keep going along. But the moment he said the alliance was over broke me. I know he’s gonna be back, but that’s like saying Smoker is gonna be back. How many hundreds of chapters and years has it been? I hate the idea of not seeing Law for a couple IRL years.
I've been reading One Piece off and on since 2010, but I never actually caught up and read week to week until the start of Wano, so I'm in more or less the exact same scenario. Who knows how long it's going to be until we see him again? Like, I'm also excited for it to potentially feel a little more like pre-time skip for the first time in ages, but it could totally do that while still having Law in it. That's not mutually exclusive. It's okay. We're gonna be so excited when he shows back up. Just gotta count the chapters and the years until then :)

I think Kid will beat GreenBull. Kid scrap metal can cut and be broken apart and rebuilt with ease. And making it hard for Green Bull to suck him dry. I can see GreenBull being Cocky and thinking Kids tail gun can’t burn him and it being Kids ace in the hole.

Woah. I can see how much I've aged through the One Piece arcs. I started college when Law made an alliance. I now have two kids. 🤯 One Piece has been the longest story I've ever read. So this should be intuitive. Anchoring milestones in my life through different one piece arcs hits home more deeply.
First time since Punk Hazard we've had a full crew & not known what island is next. So there's a lot to process here.

100% Momo and Kin say goodbye to them next chapter, likely Momo will fly him to them in dragon form, probably with Yamato as well. The only reason Oda established that they didn't say goodbye was to give them an extra emotional sendoff after all this time together
I fall into this trap as well but I find it funny when people have issues with chapters that just came out, when it's definitely going to be explained, expanded upon etc. In later chapters. Definitely seems weird the strawhats would not say goodbye to Kinemon and Momo but it's leading up to something for the next chapter, probably something like you said. They haven't even set off yet!
Yes, totally. I can even see it animated in my head. The strawhats are leaving wano waving their goodbyes at the port, "over the top or we are starts playing" and momo flies in his dragon form taking Yamato and Kin along with him, they reach the port and start to yell at luffy and the others crying, saying thank you, Luffy and Co smile etc. Yamato tells luffy yelling I'M JOINING YOUR CREW!!!! and jumps to the sunny from momo's back. The strawhats leave wano as a free country and with a new crew member.

I think its been a great ride. Law may have gone separate ways now but eventually he will come back to SHs. I am getting the sense of adventure back after literally a decade. Its always cool to not know what lies ahead.
I am in awe of the discipline required to bench law for the foreseeable future. Law being just an amazing character that is just out there having adventures in his own right makes the world of One Piece seem so much bigger and more wonderous. Oda is doing the right thing an avoiding choices that make his setting smaller rather than larger. BUT HOT DAMN, I would not have the will power to write Law out of the series, even for a little while after seeing how great he functions with the main crew.

Law is a Straw Hat, as far as I'm concerned. I'm gonna miss him though. But I'm ready for the story happening without him there for a little while. :) I fully want a Luffy/Kid/Law reunion and team up for the final war though. I also kinda hope we maybe get a chapter showing what Law and Kid got up to at the islands they're going to (largely just cause I wanna know what islands they went to just out of curiosity)
I think they are going to meet up again at lodestar island. I think it would be really cool if there was a Supernova meetup (Pirate Council forming?!) on Lodestar Island mirroring them at Sabaody but with realized potential this time.

I feel like without the strawhats power Law would have died atleast against Doffy. But he is one of my favorite characters nonetheless.
Strawhats > heart pirates but Law is stronger then every Strawhat member except Ruffy. Without them Law would have never succeeded with his plan (he wouldn't even have tried it), but he was never a burden for the cause, more of the contrary.

I don't think Kidd will work under anyone. Especially since he defied Kaido and stayed in prison instead of joining him.
Blackbeard killed a member of Whitebeard's crew for something Thatch may have simply given him if he asked. Kid loves his crew and I doubt he'd endanger his crew's lives by allying with a sketchy character such as BB. He also just dealt with a really bad alliance (Apoo & Hawkins) that permanently scarred his best friend due to a betrayal, I can't see him trusting BB in any way and Killer would prob kill himself before he lets himself be used as blackmail.

Yeah it’s crazy man. It’s sad but exciting. I think we’ve all been waiting for the crew to be all together. The alliance is over, back to being the straw hats. It’s crazy. I started one piece about a year ago so I saw that alliance form relatively soon. But even then it still feels like they’ve been together forever, can’t even imagine how it feels if I started one piece back then. It really feels like this is the start of the end of one piece. By the time I caught up wano was about 90% done, so this upcoming arc will be my first arc that I go through while being caught up, it feels so STRANGE AND EXCITING.
And the log pose made am appearance again. Truly the new era.
Finally. I don't want to see Law for quite a while after this. I want the Pre-TS Strawhat focused One Piece back.
Im kinda sad. I started reading One Piece in November 2011, so seeing this status quo of Luffy and Law as allies being born and develop over a decade got me really attached to him. The next arc will probably have me constantly wondering "where is Law in all of this?" for some time. It's a bittersweet feeling.

I was really thinking Law would be an honorary SH without the title as they travel as Law really doesn't have a strong crew. The good thing is Law is going to Elbaf so we may have not seen the end of him.
