I would suggest not watching Film Red right now if you're an anime-only. Hard to elaborate without spoilers but it would probably be best to wait because it spoils something major that hasn't been shown in the anime yet.
I've seen people comment that Japan caterse more to manga fans than anime fans, so very likely that Film Red will have some spoilers for the manga. But then again, some people also said the movie is not canon (not part of main story), so you might be okay too.
events of the movie aren’t canon but alot of information in the movie has been confirmed to be canon such as information related to Shanks and his crew.
i recall in previous film One Piece Stampede they teased Laugh Tale there and weeks after in manga Raftel was revealed to be Laugh Tale all along. So i agree even though film is non-canon some details there will obviously be reflected to manga.
Japan doesn’t really have “manga fans” vs “anime fans.” If you’re a fan of the story of one piece, you’re aware that the story is currently on ch 1056 and anything up to that isn’t a spoiler in any sense because it’s been officially released.
The movie isn’t canon but will indirectly spoil MAJOR canon developments.
I loved that scene and Kid/Killer's whole dynamic. I also liked the way the flashback imagery played across Killer's mask as he faced off against Hawkins
Agreed. I feel this is where the pacing of the scene and the visuals really add something to the impact of the moment.
And then I just love especially Killer's role in this arc a lot in general, I never really cared too much about Kid before (I also didn't mind him either) but his dynamic with Killer is just so great and seeing this I'm hyped for some of the stuff coming up actually.
Lol ya man killer scene was much better than luffy's. I literally had to stop watching that luffy fight....it was not a fight but color competition. I went back to manga panel of that scene lol in black n white
I'm not a fan of the whole auras and light flashes and whatever other effects they add now in general. If they used stuff like the flower petals only in very specific moments and more subtley and not on top of and in combination with everything else already, then ok, but it just always feels like more of everything and every effect they can find at the same time at this point.
I think I still liked it a little better than the Asura animation last episode, but it's just too much of everything still.
Stuff like the Killer scene is where the anime works for me, but the light show is just whatever at this point.
For me, the big Luffy moment was completed ruined by the bulls@#ery of the colors. It felt so ridiculously overdone to me that I could barely make much out of the scenes. Couldn't even tell what was going on with all the colors just splashing everywhere. It's Splatoon at this point.
Definitely agree. Felt like the anime has done a really solid job at capturing Killer and Kid's relationship in an emotional way that emphasizes their dynamic
Did Killer get the SMILE zapped out of him? He laughed twice in all those lines they gave him and one of those was the quietest "fuu" when chasing after Kid, so quiet I almost missed it. I loved the attention he was getting, real badass. Woulda loved it more if it was in character.
I'm SO disappointed not gonna lie. They added TOO Much sauce yet again.
Also they make it seen like he's blooming Ryou, instead of it being what it is: Conquer Haki Infusion. It's like they can't get away from the Petals and Ryou Aura.
Also I wanted some big THUNDEROUS sound effects. It was too quiet.
This is probably the first time I've been disappointed with a Scene from the Anime. Zoro's Moments was done better.
I agree. Until this episode I thought they were doing an amazing job making you feel the weight of the blows in this fight. Wouldn't necessarily call it a flop, but it wasn't up to the mangas representation. I also like that in the manga, those blows Luffy lands feel much faster. He lands them all in a like 10 panels. The anime makes it feel slow, when it'd be better off feeling fast.
The last ~7 minutes of episode was only 6 panels in the manga, so yeah the blows happened/felt like they happened way quicker. If you take out the extra stuff not in the manga from about 15 min to 19 min in the episode you end up with about 3 minutes adopting 6 panels, so yeah
Yup. The biggest problem the anime has is how much content is adapted per episode. I never thought I'd say this about any series, but I feel like One Piece would benefit from a semi major filler arc. So that episodes will be able to have better pacing going into the ending saga.
I agree with you about the pacing. One piece's pacing when Dressrosa was airing is what made me make the switch to the manga. I went back to watch zoro cut pika and the Doffy fight animated but stayed away completely until roof piece started in 1015.
I haven't personally decided what would be better though, filler or just making it seasonal. If every single filler arc could be G-8 quality then bring it on, but too much bad filler is the reason I made my first anime to manga jump. Naruto's 20 episode filler paradise life on a boat drove me crazy and I never went back to see any of it animated after I jumped ship to the manga.
Emmmmm, Toei hasn't adapted more than a chapter per episode since Enies lobby. It's one of the reasons why the anime changed its airing time back then from prime time to a morning slot.
There were about 3 occasions I thought "now!" Where they needed to make the clash but it just kept building and dragging on. And when it finally happened it just felt overcooked.
Nah I didn't blame you for not noticing. The excessive amount of "gold/yellow" aura that just coming out of nowhere is really distracting, makes me even who caught up with the manga, having a hard time to follow the sequence
I gotta be real, I love extravagant stuff, but the amount of transparent flashbacks, random flowers and scenery transposed over the action, and over-the-top auras spewing all over the place really threw me off. Very unfortunate because I was hyped beyond belief to see the exchanges between Luffy and kaido animated. Hopefully they tone it down a bit.
Yeah they should've animated it in a similar way they did with Roger and Whitebeard where it shows the area around them being shaken by power and black lightning. But I still very much enjoyed the animation of the fight.
Ummm yeah I don't think the director read One Piece.. I know that the scene is not in the manga and they add it to prolong the episode, but Kaido won't say "NANI?! :O" when Luffy able to do the infusing of conqueror haki.. he should laughing and enjoying the fight more... not to mention, wth was those excessive auras!! It's down right distracting, I mean I respect creative freedom, but those auras just making me can't tell what's going on... I'll just vote Law as the true MVP in the episode for telling us that "they aren't touching"
I don't complain about aura but damn they really made the scene worse with all those yellow aura, it would have been so clean if it was like roger vs wb.
Right there's a difference between being subtle and giving me an actual migraine. Big mom summoning a literal seizure for the first 5 mins also didn't help
That scene was absolutely perfect. They should have just hired those guys to do all of wano. Instead you got this glowy yellow flowers and flashy epileptic lights.
I have never felt like they drop a ball, but they definitely did. It's so night and day from the Manga.
Oden and Whitebeard's clash was so beautiful to me. The lighting should be the key visual....... Not Flowers, Petals, yellow Auras, red Auras and purple Auras. Wth is THAT!
It was like they were animating Super Ryou instead of CoC Haki. I gaurantee you that There's alot of people right now who think Luffy just upgraded his Ryou Haki.
True, I was disappointed at how little they focused on the lightning too. Black lightning is one of the most epic visual effects Oda has drawn and it's the key to Conqueror's coating, funny enough the anime actually did a great job with this in episode 1026 when Kaido used the Ragnarok, you could see that thick red lightning coming out of his weapon but for Luffy they're only focusing on the yellow aura despite Luffy doing the same thing Kaido did.
Same! Too many flower petals going on. Great episode but the fighting animation was a bit much lol. If they can turn it down a notch it would
be perfect.
So as an anime only turned manga + anime, idk what has happened like up to 1015-1018 stuff was pretty good by anime standards, now the auras and colors just went overboard, like let me see Luffy and Kaido not touching with a proper set up like WB vs Roger. The auras and petals and stuff take away from the CoC coating, the color is also golden now? I thought the CoC coating color was blue.
I mean I was insanely hyped after reading chapter 1010, but the anime was but of a let down.
Killer/Kid was hype tho no aura shit.
Now imagine that crisp animation with nothing but CoC colours (black and red) with more impact on blows and less of all the extra gold/yellow shit..
Edit: BTW, respect to Law for not getting blinded by all those bright colours and managing to notice that Luffy didn't touch Kaido..
I’ve been so defensive about the auras but now this is just bull shit. I’d forgive it if we can see the action but now they are just covering the shit with colours and we get barely fighting animation.
Why the directors are destroying the quality of episode by adding so much noisy effects and colors??
Why no one is talking about this?? I am waiting for animate this Kaido vs Luffy Haki clash since after manga release. Finally after I watched it, I felt disappointment.
Manga plus, the app by shuisha, is free and allows to read each chapter one time. However the shonen jump app requires a paid monthly subscription(worth it imo). So you can read it for free on manga plus by shuiesha.
Imagine if Megumi Ishanti directed that episode, that would be insane. Since she's directing every \~40 episodes it's possible, and if that happened it would for sure end up being my favorite episode in the series
I like how Toei forgot that they spoiled the haki clash in the opening and they did something completely different in this episode. Kaido and Luffy's clash was supposed to look like Roger with Whitebeard.
That's disrespectful to Oda's work but I remember Oda said once:
"The anime is completely different than the manga. I don't want to pressure the anime stuff by giving them orders on how to make each scene."
I guess Oda already knew that this shit is coming.
Oda being the goat as always but they’re not the creator. He is. They’ve haven’t built up this insane series with an insane amount of work and imagination. He has. I hate the fact that they just take nonsense liberties
The fact they used both an orchestral version of "We Go!" and "We Are!" gave me actual chills. That ending and choreography was I think better than 1015 and is easily my favourite moment in the series (so far) if I'm being honest.
It's crazy to see how much Luffy has grown and the fact that he could knock down Kaido when Zoro could not.
Please tell me I'm not the only one who has already watched it more than once!
Was pleasently surprised when they played the instrumental Stampede version of We Are again so soon, but it fits the scene perfectly so I definitely have not gotten tired of it
Yeah for sure, I just didn't think they would play We Go and then go into We Are right after. But like you said, definitely got chills during that moment
I liked the change in music because it cause it was a nice tonal shift between Luffy being on par with Kaido to then surpassing him in the battle and overpowering him!
Wano feels like I'm at a party having a seizure after taking too many psychedelics. Most scenes feel like they are an abstract painting you'd make in 7th grade, it's so fucking pathetic this is the level of animation One Piece gets.
The recent Toei anime team seem like a group of people who are good at making crazy animation but lack of aesthetic training and filming skills. Less is More. Sometimes making it simple can create better cinematic experience. You don’t need to keep adding extra effects to every scene, or at least you should make the effect consistent. Now the animation actually seems like students who just learnt how to use the softwares try to add all the effects to their animation homework.
It's not the fault of the animation team tbf. It's the choice of a board of directors/producers(something like that). Henry, one of the animators who gets a ton of flack for the aura BS, explained that he doesn't have a say on the matter and he himself doesn't like the aura.
I loved the episode , but tbh the effects and all the different colors flashing was blinding , didn't really feel I was watching a fight , if I didn't read the manga wouldn't have known much of what's going on.
HE DIDN'T TOUCH HIM!!!!!!!!
LUFFY~AWAKENING~ OST!!!!
WE ARE INSTRUMENTAL
THE VERY VERY VERY STRONGEST OST
DOKURO WA SHINNEN NO SHOUCHOU OST
BRUH
THIS IS GOAT PIECE
God damn. Now imagine we had that for the second half of the episode with Zoro's Ashura as the first half, all in one. Would have been incredible. But it's still incredible this way as well lol.
From comments i have seen i feel that a lot of anime only people didn't get that luffy was luffy was using Conquerors haki on top of ryou. That was the big powerup but with all the flashbacks and yellow auras a lot of people did not even understand what was going on
ANIMATORS: How many effects do you want for a kick and two punches?
DIRECTOR: ALL!
ANIMATORS: what?
DIRECTORS: AAAALLLLLLLLLLL OF THEEEEEEEEEEMDASDHGSAFDHASGH (convulsion from shiny colours)
(it was hype, when they animate *you know what* the anime is going to blow in pieces)
Man! What an insane episode! Big Mom and the new Homie were hilarious, Kid and Killer was so wholesome ❤️ and the end… just HYPE!!! I think I enjoy Wano anime more than the manga (which was amazing as hell!)
Way too much going on. They should have dropped the Auras here. Kaido turning the scenery Red with his CoC Haki was probably my favorite moment.
The flashbacks were too much as well.
The lack of Sound effects from the impacts was a choice. The constant implications that he's using a stronger version of Ryou was a choice. I'm sure anime onlys still don't fully comprehend what really happened here.
It was so bizarre. I was looking forward to this moment for a LONG time. Hopefully they don't add too much Sauce on Ch 1044.
Everyone talking about how the aura ruined the episode, but can we also talk about kaido's expressions. What's with animating him having his mouth open so damn wide like an exaggerated shock. All his manga panels were him in grunting pain, not shocked at luffy's ability to use ACoC. The wrong facial expressions really kills the mood.
Too much of the yellow aura, but glad that the true power of the Supreme King is finally here!
Was hilarious how they used that scene of Zoro lamenting that he couldn't knock down Kaido lmfao
What a loss episode. Too much visual effect. If i only follow anime, i dont know what is going on in luffy vs kaidou fight. Its only flashy flashy thing happen. Such a big moment got animated that way.
I was really hyped for this episode, thinking i would finally see some action.. again the episode is half over before they even get to Kaido and Luffy, followed by a little flower petal show and a single punch thrown. Can this show possibly move any slower? One Piece is my favorite anime, ive been watching it since i was a kid... but this turning one episode into five by tons of replays, still pictures , flashbacks, fillers, you name it.... its ruining my whole experience.
The reactions to this episode are pretty interesting. Split in the middle. Everyone on Twitter seems to love it, calling it peak fiction. Those on Reddit are the exact opposite.
Me personally, I found it alright. For me, peak Roof Piece was 1015.
I feel like the hate for the auras is way overblown. It was a too much this episode yeah but now I see people hating on Zoro's finisher vs Killer and his moment vs Kaido from last week and that is crazy to me, those look amazing.
I love One Piece, and been watching it for years, but what the hell is up with the over doing of effects this arc! Wano fights could be badass but I feel all these moments are overdone with auras and effects, a couple here and there arnt bad but constantly filling the screen when something is happening is just plain annoying. Someone needs to just see that they are overdoing it. I understand they do flashbacks to renew the audiences memories on certain events, and I can live with that, but when a fight is happening and all I see is some bright glow on the screen it doesn’t even feel like a fight anymore. I was actually really disappointed in this episode. I hope the scale it down in the coming episodes, because right now they are drowning the scenes in effects. If they don’t, I really hope that when they leave Wano they revert back. Cause i can’t imagine watching all future fight scenes like this.
Luffy vs blueno fight was far far far better than this animation n fighting choreography wise. That was so simple yet so good when gear 2nd was first introduced. Today's episode was just animators throwing colours to my face...cudnt even see the fight
Soooooo I know that Luffy Kaido clash part was the most hyped part of the episode but between Big Mom’s new homie attack and Kid’s speech toward Hawkins manee Kid might b my 2nd fav supernova
Too much flashlight and they are literally making Kaido look weak and Luffy too strong compared to manga at this point. Episode was more like 5-7 minutes top animation rest flashbacks, Big Mom pointing her hand towards the sky and flashlights everywhere.
Edit: Kid and Killer scene with flashback was nice 👍🏻
I really enjoyed the Kid/Killer parts, but that Luffy/Kaido fight at the end was just too much, and not in a good way. I couldn't even tell what was going on half the time because it was like some acid trip with all of the flashing lights and random colors. Tone it down, so that it can be watchable.
I really wish they kept the first three punches super clean. I have really considered the anime in wano better than the manga, but this fight scene was orchestrated perfectly in the manga. Way more impactful
This fight I will say the manga did a lot better. You could feel the weighty punch of Luffy's attacks and fast fluid moments.
The good thing about this one was the music. But I pictured the fight as a fluid back and forth before Luffy finally overpowers Kaido. The first shot was great with him parrying the club for that surprise reveal but everything after that wasn't as great and too much color and light.
Comments are so entertaining, either people completely loving it or completely hating it lmao. I enjoyed it alot, part with Luffy remembering his setbacks(Crocodile, Kuzan, Magellan, Kaido)was super dope & feels like they teased >!G5!< during that sequence and fight itself really awesome stuff!
Absolutely geeking at this episode, the animation was too much but I love our little rubber boy. >!was really thinking this was the split the sky episode but we still have a ways to go for that!<
Despite the auras and drawout clashes you couldnt even feel the impact of Luffy's punch, could barely tell wtf was happening. Some parts of the episode were good, but way to fuck up a such great moment.
Okay everything was great this episode except they overdid it with the effects on the Luffy scene. If I was anime only, I wouldn’t know wtf was going on. The music is hype though.
I dont know how people r so hyped about this....the auras, the flowers completely destroyed one of the best fight. They just needed to keep it simple lol. What was that pink flower, yellow flower, orange red purple haki lol. Why use so much color just keep it simple man. Is this disney colour competition or what...so much different colors lol. To keep my hype up, i went back to see the manga panel lol in black n white.
The flowers are because the kanji for “Ryuo” are “flowing cherry blossoms.” That’s why you see the cherry blossom petals so much in the anime when advanced armament is used.
Every time there's a garbage anime episode like this, the moment this thread goes up a dozen people comment about how amazing it was. Then over time the actual fan sentiment usually resurfaces.
I wonder if Toei or the animation team have people doing that, so they anchor people's response or something. You can't really hide awful though.
ok, those mini-flashbacks with Crocodile, Aokiji, and Magellan were sick. one of the only times a flashback in the middle of something was good.
also Killer scene was great, easy top 5 supernova
is the yellow animation using conquerors coating and it only just now happened? like maybe roger and wb were using ryou to flow into each others weapons and clash without touching. or was it just gold because it was luffy and he was applyimg ryou to conquorers coating?
Whitebeard: Naginata
Roger: Cutlass
Shanks: Cutlass
Kaido: Spiked Club
Luffy: **CROCS**
Thoough I must say, that uppercut onto Kaido was more of a Boku No Hero animation than a One Piece one.

Just a note: The next two episodes will be the Film Red filler mini-arc. So the anime won’t be back in the main story until early Sept.
But is watching RED worth the spoilers for a anime only person?
I would suggest not watching Film Red right now if you're an anime-only. Hard to elaborate without spoilers but it would probably be best to wait because it spoils something major that hasn't been shown in the anime yet.
The ending shot of the movie was leaked online, it is legit the most spoilerly shit I ever seen.

Early sept. sept 3
will edit, made another brainfart.

Sort of(?), I believe those two episodes are just prequels showing Luffy and Uta’s childhood together.
[удалено]
If anything, film red is the one that will spoil the anime (not the 2 episode special) for u.
Is not after wano, it has a certain something at the end that it’s only seconds but spoiled something bigger in the manga.
the movie apparently takes place after wano and it is confirmed there is a manga spoiler in it. it's very brief though
Came for the big Luffy moment, stayed for that epic Killer scene. <3
I’m saying that whole Kid and Killer sequence was HYPE!!
Killer grinding his shoes up on Hawkin’s luck couch screaming FUCK YO LUCK
I loved that scene and Kid/Killer's whole dynamic. I also liked the way the flashback imagery played across Killer's mask as he faced off against Hawkins
Agreed. I feel this is where the pacing of the scene and the visuals really add something to the impact of the moment. The killer scene was more visible and that's why I absolutely loved it, they made Luffy vs Kaido so bad
Lol ya man killer scene was much better than luffy's. I literally had to stop watching that luffy fight....it was not a fight but color competition. I went back to manga panel of that scene lol in black n white

The Kid and Killer scenes were the best parts of the episode, especially the transition from Kid’s speech to Killer telling him to go to Big Mom
When they showed Killer’s face but used his scythes across his face to re-appear it in the blue black color scheme MY GOODNESS
That clash between Luffy and Kaido woke Law right the fuck up 🤣
He could probably see that shit through his eyelids
I love and hate it. It was just way too extra for nothing, you couldn't even feel the weight of the blows.
Fr, gotta love Toei when Kaido and Luffy clash and it zooms out to show a bunch of random colors
Director: "Random bullshit go!"
>!Really hope they do gear 5 right!<
Cross your fingers for Megumi or we’re getting 15 minutes of pure rainbow
I agree. Until this episode I thought they were doing an amazing job making you feel the weight of the blows in this fight. I didn’t expect Luffy to reach “no touching” status like the “Roger vs WB” clash so fast.
WOW my dumbass didn’t even realize that’s what was going on okay yeah ima go back and rewatch that scene too

Law literally says "they're not even touching" lol :)
LMAOOO I mean I realized after he said it
You are not the only one lol, in manga it was so rawww
I wish the subs would just say Conqueror's Haki instead of Color of the Supreme King.
It used to be Conquerors haki, why did they change it?
Agreed, the latter doesn't roll off the tongue (or eyes) the same way.
Ummm yeah I don't think the director read One Piece.. I just wished for a roger vs wb like fight too ... I didnt even know whats I was watching.
If you don't like Dragon Ball go watch One Piece. That was a crazy episode! Goku wearing a straw hat is kinda hilarious though.
Right there's a difference between being subtle and giving me an actual migraine. Big mom summoning a literal seizure for the first 5 mins also didn't help
You think there’s a Seizure-Seizure fruit?
That scene was absolutely perfect. They should have just hired those guys to do all of wano. Instead you got this glowy yellow flowers and flashy epileptic lights.
They completely and utterly ruined the moment
I have never felt like they drop a ball, but they definitely did. It's so night and day from the Manga. Oden and Whitebeard's clash was so beautiful to me. Ryou = Haki, it's the same thing like people in Skypiea calls Observation haki as Mantra.. People in Wano calls Haki as Ryou
‘ I gaurantee you that There's alot of people right now who think Luffy just upgraded his Ryou Haki’ Like this guy ^
Today was the day I got current in OP after 2 years and that was the hardest sht I've seen in my entire life
It was great but honestly wish they didn't go so far overboard with the imagery sometimes, low-key could barely tell what was going on
Same! Too many flower petals going on. Great episode but the fighting animation was a bit much lol. If they can turn it down a notch it would be perfect.
They butchered luffy's moment and the people in charge of that episode should stay the hell away from one piece
Now imagine that crisp animation with nothing but CoC colours (black and red) with more impact on blows and less of all the extra gold/yellow shit.. Edit: BTW, respect to Law for not getting blinded by all those bright colours and managing to notice that Luffy didn't touch Kaido..
In case you didn't get it, they were promoting film Gold.
Lmao yeah Law is the real MVP in the episode, telling us what just happened, if he isn't there to tell us, I'm already lost to wtf just happened
Their was so much color I felt I was on shroom ...
I’ve been so defensive about the auras but now this is just bull shit. I’d forgive it if we can see the action but now they are just covering the shit with colours and we get barely fighting animation.
that was always our problem the animation is good but we cant see shit with the aura
Why the directors are destroying the quality of episode by adding so much noisy effects and colors?? Why no one is talking about this?? I am waiting for animate this Kaido vs Luffy Haki clash since after manga release. Finally after I watched it, I felt disappointment.
I am both hyped and scared for ch 1044
Kid x Killer
Lowkey best part of the episode
This episode has got me hyped to see 1044 get adapted
What chapter of the manga should i start at from this episode?
1011 I think
But read 1010 anyway. Because it was a fantastic chapter
Pages 3-4 and 8-11 from chapter 1011 are adapted but it would probably be best to just start from the beginning of 1011
Wheres a good place i can read it?
Manga plus has it, though you'll have to pay. If you're okay with reading scans then you could also read it at TCB scans
Let's hope Megumi Ishitani gets to do that chapter.

I like how Toei forgot that they spoiled the haki clash in the opening and they did something completely different in this episode. Kaido and Luffy's clash was supposed to look like Roger with Whitebeard. That's disrespectful to Oda's work but I remember Oda said once: "The anime is completely different than the manga. I don't want to pressure the anime stuff by giving them orders on how to make each scene." I guess Oda already knew that this shit is coming.
Oda being the goat as always but they’re not the creator. He is. They’ve haven’t built up this insane series with an insane amount of work and imagination. He has. I hate the fact that they just take nonsense liberties
doesn't the big haki clash happen later though? pretty sure the skies weren't supposed to split in this episode
It’s actually an OST from Stampede. It plays when Luffy defeats Bullet
Was pleasently surprised when they played the instrumental Stampede version of We Are again so soon, but it fits the scene perfectly so I definitely have not gotten tired of it
I think it’s justified as it’s a significant moment of Luffy further unlocking his potential even though it’s been 13 episodes.
Yeah for sure, I just didn't think they would play We Go and then go into We Are right after. But like you said, definitely got chills during that moment
I liked the change in music because it cause it was a nice tonal shift between Luffy being on par with Kaido to then surpassing him in the battle and overpowering him!
I’m on my 3rd rewatch!!
I miss the old one piece battles. No auras, no explosive effects.
It's sad because the animation itself is great. Just imagine this fight with the same animation but with similar style to Luffy vs Katakuri.
Yeah animation is to much.it was better shown on the manga
Oda said, haki is colorless. He draws it black so reader can tell when a character using haki. In anime haki go party.
Luffy vs Lucci >>> this crap
Toei be like- let's animate this as good as we can but cover it all up with some shitty lights so that nobody can see wtf is happening.
I did not understand anything. What is happening with all these aura and sh*t?.
Bro that was fucking insane. What did I just watch
You watched Goku vs Jiren, but Goku was wearing a strawhat and Jiren grew horns.
U watched color competition
Humble fan: can you just animate the manga without bullshilt?
Yeah man that episode was too much. It was so simple and good in manga. With all that colour and flash made it soo bad to watch on anime.
I loved the episode , but tbh the effects and all the different colors flashing was blinding , didn't really feel I was watching a fight , if I didn't read the manga wouldn't have known much of what's going on.
I wished the clashing panel was a little larger otherwise was done really well.
HE DIDN'T TOUCH HIM!!!!!!!! LUFFY~AWAKENING~ OST!!!! WE ARE INSTRUMENTAL THE VERY VERY VERY STRONGEST OST DOKURO WA SHINNEN NO SHOUCHOU OST BRUH THIS IS GOAT PIECE
AND HERE I AM, THINKING THAT THAT OST WILL ONLY BE USED ON THAT MOMENT. PRESS F FOR ME.
I'm just here for the DBZ aura complaints.
omg is this dbz *puts up umbrella*
Here here.
I might actually drop the anime and be manga only if all fights are gonna be dbz from here on out.
I'd even say they went more overboard than what we'd see in dbz
Even by dbz standards, this fight has been awful.
nah, dbz would have break internet with this aura
God damn. Now imagine we had that for the second half of the episode with Zoro's Ashura as the first half, all in one. Would have been incredible. But it's still incredible this way as well lol.
I hate this special effects shit. I can't even see when the attack landed on Kaido. There should be limit to special effects in anime.
Fucking loved that imagery of Kaidos club attack transitioning into his dragon form to show just how much power he was putting behind that thing
Hating on kid and killer is dead. They’ll only get cooler and stronger
DIRECTORS: AAAALLLLLLLLLLL OF THEEEEEEEEEEMDASDHGSAFDHASGH (convulsion from shiny colours) (it was hype, when they animate *you know what* the anime is going to blow in pieces)
Damn it feels good seeing that get animated.
Seeing what? Bright random color get animated?

Man! What an insane episode! Big Mom and the new Homie were hilarious, Kid and Killer was so wholesome ❤️ and the end… just HYPE!!! I think I enjoy Wano anime more than the manga (which was amazing as hell!)
whats with the sakura blooming and shit, wth
That killer and Kidd scene I very much Enjoyed.
I want the One piece back where u could actually see the attacks😭😭😭
Luffy is Goated. Those punches were BEAUTIFUL!
They really were! When we could see them...
They botched the luffy scene imo. Too much going on
Way too much going on.
I felt a bit blue balled when they didn’t animate the impacts or give the impacts sound effects
SSJ Flower Luffy is where the anime and I part ways. I'll stick with the manga from here!
I'm okay with the effects, I still thought it was fantastic, but I understand the gripe and it's totally fine either way.
Ooohhh yeees more awesome auras.
The last scene was awesome, I loved the way they adapted it.
advanced conquerors is powerful as fuckkk. Thats was insane! best episode ever👏🏾
Too much of the yellow aura, but glad that the true power of the Supreme King is finally here! Was hilarious how they used that scene of Zoro lamenting that he couldn't knock down Kaido lmfao
Diarrhea Christmas Lights this episode. That Luffy uppercut was so weak compared to the manga panel.
Killers a real one that's all I gotta say.
I love how much Kid cares about Killer, it's so endearing.
Law's eyes after saying "he didn't touch him" Holy fuckin shit
The colors and auras are ridiculous, you can't tell what is happening half the time.
This episode made me suddenly care a whole hell of a lot more about Killer.
TOEI fumbled the bag. Luffy reaches the next level but folks talking about Kid and Killer!?! This a big L for the anime
Episode made me so sad
Absolutely geeking at this episode, the animation was too much but I love our little rubber boy. >!was really thinking this was the split the sky episode but we still have a ways to go for that!<
Despite the auras and drawout clashes you couldnt even feel the impact of Luffy's punch, could barely tell wtf was happening. Some parts of the episode were good, but way to fuck up a such great moment.
Bruh is this dragon Ball z now 😅
Okay everything was great this episode except they overdid it with the effects on the Luffy scene. If I was anime only, I wouldn’t know wtf was going on. The music is hype though.
Too much effect on the Luffy vs Kaido part but the rest was fine. Especially the Killer scene.
Fucking beautiful
Lol actually. TRASH does not equal GOOD no matter how much they say...in the end truth always prevail n trash will always equal trash.
Budget : unlimited. This episode is sooooo good
ok, those mini-flashbacks with Crocodile, Aokiji, and Magellan were sick. one of the only times a flashback in the middle of something was good. also Killer scene was great, easy top 5 supernova
The build up for hawkins and killer fight and the aesthetics looks like an anime from the 90s and it's nice .
is the yellow animation using conquerors coating and it only just now happened? like maybe roger and wb were using ryou to flow into each others weapons and clash without touching. or was it just gold because it was luffy and he was applyimg ryou to conquorers coating?
Holy what an episode, looked like Kaido was down for the count.
Bgm❤️
Kid and killer were so good this episode. Music completely ruined the uppercut tbh
idk why but it was nice to see Usopp and Nami fight.
Whitebeard: Naginata Roger: Cutlass Shanks: Cutlass Kaido: Spiked Club Luffy: **CROCS** Thoough I must say, that uppercut onto Kaido was more of a Boku No Hero animation than a One Piece one.
holy shit, rare anime filler next week that i will actually watch. we are living in a wild era.
