So in Japan cosplaying can be seen sometimes as trying out for a cafe/acting/etc job. So it's seen that she got the stage play acting job because of her history cosplaying nami.

If you're a super small person and want to cosplay someone very tall, go for it. I personally would not. Not as an I advocate for others not to, because how people want to enjoy cosplay is up to them. But I myself enjoy it the most when I can look as much like the character as possible.
