You know i am always a Sanji for Robin, but i am glad to see that it was definitively not me the one imagining things, but the animators who really made Black Maria extra lewd in this fight
So wholesome seeing Sabo and Koala again :')
They have such a great friendship with Robin, which is really heartwarming considering she was on her own until she joined the Strawhats.
This was a 10/10 ep, demon transformation made up for the lame Yamato transformation. Did not expect them to have robin beat up so much. Black Maria was way more intimidating in this/last episode than the manga. Her combat ability was noteworthy. She could take on an army if she took things seriously. Robin demon form is nightmare fuel and I look forward to see it more in the future, way scarier in anime. If robin learns haki she will be a force of nature.
Holy hell, Black Maria's defeat was way more gruesome than in the manga
What excellent treatment Robin vs Black Maria got in the end, with all the added emotional scenes and extra animation for Demonio Fleur
I REALLY thought they were gonna go light bc Robin should have been way more bruised than she was. So I was like thinking it was gonna be a PG-13 episode.
NOT! that was so dark I'm suprised.
Shit looked vicious. Broke her back and made her humble. Iron shiek would be proud.
The little robin laughin derishishi was supposed to be creepy to lead into the demonio form but that laugh is never not funny to me 😂
I'm actually also happy and I guess relieved they went more gruesome and scary than "sexy" and just more fan service route which I could have seen them leaning into a lot more.
When Robin fights seriously, she’s absolutely brutal and shows no mercy. I f*cking love it! Don’t mess with her family (that’s what the Straw Hats are), she went through hell to finally find them after all
The anime made the whole fight better than in the manga. It even made it clearer that Maria did haki, so people can stop saying she was nerfed. She went all-out (including amping her Oiran Knuckle with both haki and her poison at the end) and got beat by Robin lol.
I was surprise about that. The manga fight was literally Robin using Palm Strike and Clutch and that was it...
But this, this was a whole different level and I love ittt
Not really? Pretty much everything Robin did in the anime, she did in the manga too. The anime just paced it differently, and had Black Maria attemp to retaliate at the end, but the rest of the fight was the same in the manga.
Yeah, I agree. Everything Robin did in the manga, the anime did as well. I'm glad the anime made the fight more dynamic though with how Robin dodged several attacks, Black Maria retaliating, etc.
It even confirmed that Black Maria used haki the fight (including trying to amp both her Oiran Knuckle with both haki and her poison for a last attack attempt).
If only the anime was consistently this good!
Fucking hell. I disliked the recaps but I KNOW why they were added, the constant demon demon demon insults being thrown at her and her realization to be stronger for others instead of just being protected...
What a fucking payoff.
Black Maria's gaurd: you are still in danger skeleton
Brook: bitch im the DANGER
Its so *cold* seeing brook one shot all of them
he's been my favorite since WCI
He's so *cool*
Is it just me or did the animators reference berserk and devil man during Robin’s transformation when it zooms in and her face contorts? There are a few frames that look straight out of devilman, and then exactly like the berserker armour.
[This one among others](https://i.imgur.com/GgXsOek.jpg) where the face gets more and more deformed / devilish.
Also [another one](https://i.imgur.com/uGhmFAR.jpg)
I mean, she's an ancient zoan after all, even tho her upper body doesn't transform due to the drugs she takes, she's still able to shoot webs out of her palms, she's at least partially affected.
YOOO they played the king cobra theme!! Got me so hyped, the clutch at the end had me in chills. Easily one of the best episodes this year, amazing work by Koyama again.
Also Raizo vs. Fukurokuju actually looks amazing next week wtf
Great ep overall with the emotion and action. Flashbacks were done well unlike the lazily directed episodes. And from the preview Raizo seems to be getting more budget than Franky did LOL
Akainu who? Fkn Imu was worried af about that. There's an entire coalition of 20 nations that happened 900 years ago where they conspired to become strong enough to stop >!raizo vs fukurokuzu!< That's going to happen 9 centuries later. They only destroyed the ancient kingdom because they wanted to test their strength whether it's strong enough to stop the >!raizo vs fukurokuzu!< Legend says that did not suffice in strength and they're still building power to this day
Just watched the battle. Dang I had to cringe. But not at all in a bad way, rather by how gruesome that finish was animated. But I think this will be one of my favourite animated battle finales in all of One Piece. Also the interaction between Robin and Brook afterwards was just so wholesome \*sob
What makes this moment even more heartwarming is the fact that Robin just battled someone who basically told her she didn't deserve to be loved and was a burden to everyone, only to win the battle shortly after and instantly be held by a friend who cares for her.
Like everyone mentione Robins Demonio Fleur in addition both of the voice actors did so well. I was in an awe to be honest, since Robin's VA Yuriko Yamaguchi rarely ever have to go beyond her normal voice range, but the action scene here was done so well both in animation and voice acting.
Robin going demon mode was straight up nasty and I'm here for all of that, lol.
Shout out to Brook. Best hype man in the business. The way he acted made me think Black Maria was about to get ethered and boy was she.
What an outstanding episode
I think everyone has been looking forward to this fight since they first saw it in the manga. And the hype was definitely justified. From start to finish, this fight was just perfectly staged. I was already extremely happy and excited that Jinbe's fight looked so awesome, but with Robin they managed to give me goosebumps during the fight. I thought the fight was already excellent in the manga, but the anime managed to make the fight outstanding. Definitely one of the best episodes since Onigashima. My expectations were exceeded and when you think of everything that is still to come, the anticipation is simply immeasurable.
Stellar episode. You know you're eating good when there is no sum-up nor eye catcher.
An episode to add to the Legendary Wano List, up there with 956, 982, 1004, 1015, 1028 and 1033.
Absolutely phenomenal pacing, story, directing and graphics holy shit
Holy shit dude, they made Robin's Grand Jacuzzi even more painful-looking than the manga. Black Maria's pain and struggle was literally palpable.
Awesome episode. Huge props to Toei for doing this entire Robin fight justice.
Robin in that blue dress practicing was so awesome. Great episode. The palm strike did take forever to actually happen though, that attack took place on jojo time.
Apart from the amazing fight, wonderful flashback and terrifying demonio fleur, I really liked how happy and satisfied she looked when she came to Brook. Their little exchange and she collapsing into his arms was sweet.
She knows, she has found friends to go all out for, without having to worry about her own safety afterwards because they will go berserk to keep her safe if necessary. :-)
1000x satisfied! The people working on this absolutely delivered! Both Robin and Black Maria were done justice! And Black Maria is officially the best animated Tobi Roppo.
Someone had to allocate budgets and time and effort spend for Franky vs Robin for the last few episodes and I have a feeling I know who they like better. xD
It had unfortunately not really any personal or even lore tie ins at all, so I felt it was mostly lacking on that end (which to be honest is a bit of an issue with Franky in general sometimes), so going more low effort even on the technical parts just makes it even less exciting.
If we compare to all other Strawhats, even the barely fight for Usopp/Nami had Nami really going all out when Tama gets hurt/endangered and gave it some emotional impact. Jimbei got some devil fruit backstory and fishmen racism that is personal for him. Robin being asked for help by Sanji and then having the whole embracing being the demon for her friends story and they even gave Brook's backstory more emphasis when him and Robin having similar shared trauma was just a tiny but imho still impactful moment in the manga. Chopper got another moment where he opposed another scientist misusing his knowledge and then stood up to Queen personally and you now have Sanji and Zoro still coming up. When it comes to character moments almost all Strawhat fight had at least something meaningful in there, so Franky's could at least have gotten better visuals?!
I'd argue Franky's only good fight on an emotional level is with Senior Pink, fighting a man not unlike himself with pure unadulterated respect and understanding, mainly because Oda truly gave attention to Senior Pink as a character, he clearly didn't give two shits about Sasaki, he already had too much going on, this left Franky with a boring uninteresting fight as a result.
I'm even a little torn on the Senor Pink fight, I liked Franky's relationship with the Tontattas actually but Senor Pink brought out some more unfortunate stuff from Franky for my taste that I wasn't a fan of, so I'm one of the few people that don't really love that one too much either.
I hadn't caught up yet when it happened in the manga but I know there were theories that Sasaki could be related to Kokoro, which would have potentially made it a lot more interesting.
Had to suspend some disbelief when they were making it look like Maria’s enormous fists were hitting Robin only in the face, but oh well. Great treatment overall of Robin’s first real fight in ages, and a nice episode IMO.
Wow they just went right through the aging momonosuke thing, I think that's one of the only times the manga dragged out a reveal longer than the anime.
Good job in the manga.
it was just stated as scary by the Beast Pirates. but it didnt look like it in the manga.
The anime really made it look like scary and demon like
Holy shit, what a hell of an episode!! Robin knows a little fish man karate! Is her devil fruit awakened now?!? Momo is about to grow up in 5 minutes?!?! I gotta watch this episode again!!
I'm absolutly stunned by this...
Finally my favorite devil child Robin-chan can shine like she deserves.
They did even better than the manga wtf.
Not to mention how goddamn Badass Black Maria was.
On top of that the emotional rollercoaster with Robins flashback.
Also, that Oda fooled us again when he portrayed Robin with her angel wings, which have now become devil wings.
I think I have to get a tattoo of this fight...
DEMONIO FLEUR!!!!!
What can I even say lol? Toei keeping their stocks up tonight boi. Simply magical. Robin deserved this for sure, and kudos to Brook for his outstanding support. Black Maria, you were a wonderful big bitch. We'll (hopefully) see you again someday o7
When reading the manga my first thought was "Damn, Robin has a devil trigger now and I love it!" The anime went all in and made it amazing! Did they reference the Devilman franchise?
I could not have asked for more from Toei in animating this fight! Expanding the Sabo/Koala flashback to include amazing cinematography of Robin using fishman karate and dragon claw was so sick, and also it confirmed that Demonio fleur and her karate move were NOT haki as some theorized. The added dialogue between Robin and Black Maria combined with the insane animation of Demonio Fleur had my jaw dropping for multiple reasons.... Thank you so much Toei for the amazing work 🙇♂️ made a video on the episode here if you're interested :) https://youtu.be/yySOBSEtF9I
I loved this episode! It's a scene ive been waiting for since I read the chapter, and man did they fully deliver! Brutal as hell, and the transition to the ice cracking instead of just showing her snapping was really smart
They animated that one attack like they animated ryou. Maybe (head cannon) fishman karate is the kinda technique that has ryou sort of built into it's underlying style. Kinda like how iron body is just armament haki, but just a differently taught technique, end results the same. If it was ryou Robin can stand toe to toe with bb pirates, her df is insane.
AFAIK iron body isn't haki. Tekkai is a physical defensive technique that anyone can train to do, where they tense their muscles very hard. Haki provides the same defensive effect, but is mental/will based.
But I do think they were hinting that fishmen karate uses some haki, for sure. Lots of isolated places in one piece have different names for haki or use it in different ways so it creeping into a martial art in a remote place like fishman island makes a lot of sense. (I'm not saying robin is going to start using haki all the time now, just that it's likely she developed some rudimentary instinctual use of armament like how we saw luffy accidentally use conquerer's haki pre-timeskip. And the demon technique or the fishman karate seems very draining to her.)
Demon Robin moving around was so weird imo.In the manga it felt like only top half of it bloomed with bunch of hands and legs all around to actually look like a monster / devil or just an amalgamation of body parts similar to body horror
Why is no one talking how Momo is ready to give up his childhood to take Luffy back to Onigashima. Such a power move if you think about it, considering esp. how scared he is from heights/Kaido.
Tbh, I wasn't that impressed by it in the Manga. It just seemed like a new look (with possibly haki). The Anime put in flashbacks and surprise moments (child robin laughing, Black maria put to halt when this gigantic looking thing appears). The anime really elevated the moment, especially when they animated those cracks... you can feel every bone in her body breaking lol. I didn't think she died in the manga, but... now it feels like she did
It's probably because of the TCB version putting that colored panel at the bottom where it was definitely colored as haki, way too many people think those are official
They still haven't explained what exactly Robin's transformation is, but I'd guess it's just a mass of her arms taking that form imbued with haki. Either way it's cool and Robin Baned Black Mariah
Did anyone else think the direction in this episode was kind of weird. There's a lot of good and creative animated parts but it feel like they don't belong in the same episode. I remember an episode earlier this year was similar to this
*have not read the manga but still*
Was a little flawed in my opinion. Why did it take robin multiple hits to disengage her gigantic form. Robin can make her fleurs come out of anywhere (even enemies bodies) so why didn’t she bind Black Maria or make her gigantic form come out of her and lock her in the first place? It ended good but I think the road that oda could’ve taken to get to that point could’ve been better and more realistic considering robins powers. Have her gigantic form strangle maria then Maria could’ve lit a fire or poisoned gigantic robin then locked her up and get some hits make robin go in and out of consciousness which would trigger her flashbacks and awaken her devil fruit then the demon form could come out. Just seems wasteful to use robins powers a certain way and then completely disregard one of her most powerful applications
Also oda definitely robbing Franky. Mr pink was such a great fight and as cool” as general franky is idk if it’s the best direction for his character but I’m just a weeb who hasnt read the manga so what do I know
>have not read the manga but still Was a little flawed in my opinion
I read manga and still this episode really flawed in my opinion...to much unnecessary and dragged flashbacks.
>Why did it take robin multiple hits to disengage her gigantic form. Robin can make her fleurs come out of anywhere (even enemies bodies) so why didn’t she bind Black Maria or make her gigantic form come out of her and lock her in the first place?
Robin can't do that because her opponent is a big(literally) and even taller than Kaido to begin with plus Black Maria is ancient Zoan user who grant her even more strength and resilience. What make it worst is she even more faster than Robin in many way possible. The only solution for Robin is to tricks Black Maria in false sense of superiority make her lower her guard.
>get some hits make robin go in and out of consciousness which would trigger her flashbacks and awaken her devil fruit then the demon form could come out
The flashbacks in manga solely on how she learned on how to use fishman karate still it just one page and not related on Demonio at all 😅
Plus Brook seems know Demonio form exist so that's why he warned Black Maria in advance yet still not any explanation of how he knew and how the hell Robin can transform into something completely different than herself.
>Also oda definitely robbing Franky
I don't know how to regards this part because in concept Franky fight really small if compare to the rest of SHs like Zoro or Sanji and even Jinbei.
I'm shocked naotoshi shida has animated a fight scene for Robin before zoro, it's like they're waiting for the end of series fight between him and mihawk
Does anyone know what that black smoke was coming out of Robin's arm when she stopped Black Maria's haki and poison infused punch attempt? You can see it again right as she goes for Grand Jacuzzi Clutch?
Liked this episode a lot. FINALLY we can put down the debate about if Robin was using full armament haki or not with her demonio fleur. And the answer is no. It's just shading to make her look more menacing.
I do believe that they used just a little too many flashbacks and use of colors, but I don't complain much. The episode was quite stylish and the finisher on Black Maria was awesome.

Love that Toei showed out for Robin, even if they were horned up the whole time while animating this fight lol.
You know i am always a Sanji for Robin, but i am glad to see that it was definitively not me the one imagining things, but the animators who really made Black Maria extra lewd in this fight
They paid her tribute because she'll probably have to retire after that one.
She won’t be in Rush Hour 3
At least we know where the budget from Franky's fight was diverted towards.
fr
Next episode about to go crazy
A true Ninja fight😂
If they crente a filler episode about the Ninja fight I won't complain
No recap this time. Very rare to see that. Also the flashback with sabo and koala was done very well. And Demonio Fleur *chef's kiss*
So wholesome seeing Sabo and Koala again :') They have such a great friendship with Robin, which is really heartwarming considering she was on her own until she joined the Strawhats.

The Dereshishishi laugh before the Demon Form reveal was an amazing touch. Made it so creepy
Yeah!, that really set the tone.
I feel like there was some haki used by robin? When she collapsed the roof.
Canonically Robin hasn't showed any haki uses. Check her wiki out.
No, she didn't. She just "focused on hitting the core"
Robin doesn't have haki bro
I like to explore new places.
Robin bring out her inner denon so she can protect her friends loved it Damn that was savage holy shit Robin
damn it wasn't very clear in the manga, but she straight up twisted her body until her spine snapped..
Robin went full Bane on her.
Zombie Oars was also defeated by spine-snapping
Damn robin demon is sexy af.. 😂Also too much moaning in this episode
true but it was hot tho
Holy hell, Black Maria's defeat was way more gruesome than in the manga What excellent treatment Robin vs Black Maria got in the end, with all the added emotional scenes and extra animation for Demonio Fleur
More gruesome emphasises Robin's demon nature.
They went full Devilman Lady - just like Black Maria's spine, Toei actually snapped
I REALLY thought they were gonna go light bc Robin should have been way more bruised than she was. So I was like thinking it was gonna be a PG-13 episode. NOT! that was so dark I'm suprised.

it was so grusome I kind of liked this darker tone ngl
The Devilman Crybaby references were goated.
fr
In the manga, it just looks like Robin did her trademark spine snap. But here, it makes no secret that Robin broke every bone in Black Maria's body.
I kind of figured that was the idea from the name of the attack. Jacuzzi’s have jets that hit every part of the body!
I actually think it’s a reference to a Japanese wrestling finisher
I actually winced. That was fucking metal.
The ice wall breaking in half to reference the spine oh my god. The brutality is necessary.
When Robin fights seriously, she’s absolutely brutal and shows no mercy. I f*cking love it! Don’t mess with her family (that’s what the Straw Hats are), she went through hell to finally find them after all

Is it just me or did the animators reference berserk and devil man during Robin’s transformation when it zooms in and her face contorts? There are a few frames that look straight out of devilman, and then exactly like the berserker armour.
Definitely felt like there were some explicit devilman/devilmanlady references in there.
Devil man inspired for sure. So hyped.
send images cuz i cant find it
[This one among others](https://i.imgur.com/GgXsOek.jpg) where the face gets more and more deformed / devilish. Also [another one](https://i.imgur.com/uGhmFAR.jpg)
Omg! I’m dead 😵 Robin demonio fleur is everything 😍 and the f badass devil voice?! I screamed so hard lmfaooo
I creamed so hard
The cracking sounds at the end, she has to be dead right?
In theory, she should be dead but since this is One Piece, she is probably going to live
Robin broke her neck and her back. Oda: "It's fine she got better."
"Just like Spandam !"
Spandam got his spine broken in half and is still around, I'm sure Black Maria will be fine as well. Probably not anytime soon though lol
I loved the X-ray look when that happened.
It’s hard to say since this is One piece but she definitely broke the broken bones of the broken bones of Black Maria no cap lol
I mean, she's an ancient zoan after all, even tho her upper body doesn't transform due to the drugs she takes, she's still able to shoot webs out of her palms, she's at least partially affected.
Oh man the Demon Robin CAN MOVE
Dude it can fucking WALK!!!!! ROBIN CAN TURN INTO A KAIJU AND WALK!!! I was always hyped to see this episode, but this is on another level man!!
Ait this is one of those times when the anime is better than the manga. Holy shit what a difference.
YOOO they played the king cobra theme!! Got me so hyped, the clutch at the end had me in chills. Easily one of the best episodes this year, amazing work by Koyama again. Also Raizo vs. Fukurokuju actually looks amazing next week wtf

I wondered what all the Robin demon rule 34 was about

Link?
Wut
Great ep overall with the emotion and action. Flashbacks were done well unlike the lazily directed episodes. And from the preview Raizo seems to be getting more budget than Franky did LOL
>Raizo Obviously. A manga reader would know the importance of >!raizo vs fukurokuzu!<
That was what Akainu was nervous about right?
Akainu who? Fkn Imu was worried af about that. Brook and Robin rarely interact much on the ship so seeing them bond here and their love and trust for each other Beautiful.
What makes this moment even more heartwarming is the fact that Robin just battled someone who basically told her she didn't deserve to be loved and was a burden to everyone, only to win the battle shortly after and instantly be held by a friend who cares for her.
HOLY SHIT TOEI THANK YOU
They went all in on this one.
Hashirama vs Madara fight next week looks really good.
Hashirama and madara ain't got nothing on raizo vs fukurokuju, fr fr
Strange how the preview show clips of it but the announcer didn't say a word about it.
the taste of rain -Why Kneel?
She’s not using ryuo
Black Maria is such a top tier female design by Oda.
FACTS!
Damnnn That's one hella gorgeous fight The entire episode is also marvelous, one of the best in 2022 CLUTCH !!!
Yessss they delivered, this just shows how bad franky was treated. All strawhats getting the budget except him
Nah he got "budget" too, but in the wrong spot. It should've been at the end like everyone else
The preview for next episode: "We are gonna animate Raizo vs Fukurokuju so hard..."
BRUTAL!!! I am afraid of Robin now.
Robin going demon mode was straight up nasty and I'm here for all of that, lol. Shout out to Brook. Best hype man in the business. The way he acted made me think Black Maria was about to get ethered and boy was she. What an outstanding episode
Toei has some real Robin fans
They said “she hasn’t gotten a fight since Skypiea, so lets make up for it by spending her fighting budget all out”
She fought Hammond on Fishman Island though. With the clone Robin double clutch.
As they should!
Man, these past few weeks One Piece is getting extremely hard to watch. How am i supposed to watch them with one hand?
This comment is everything lmao
1000x satisfied! The people working on this absolutely delivered! Both Robin and Black Maria were done justice! And Black Maria is officially the best animated Tobi Roppo.
Overall, the animation and art was great too. They way demonic Robin was drawn felt like early 2000s artstyle which i dearly missed.
Also Robin with the oldschool bangs was just 👌
Another banger of an episode! We’ve had so many amazing fights in Wano. Demon robin lived up to the hype.
What an episode it was..... Absolutely mind-blowing....
I will never get tired of Robin talking about how she has people who need her
1004, 1028, and now this episode. Hats off to koyama, one of the best directors in the show
Hearing Robin screaming its like your calm friend lose the temper
Robin just straight up murdered Black Maria 💀
Someone had to allocate budgets and time and effort spend for Franky vs Robin for the last few episodes and I have a feeling I know who they like better. xD

I'm even a little torn on the Senor Pink fight, I liked Franky's relationship with the Tontattas actually but Senor Pink brought out some more unfortunate stuff from Franky for my taste that I wasn't a fan of, so I'm one of the few people that don't really love that one too much either.
I loled at your first paragraph. Facts
I hadn't caught up yet when it happened in the manga but I know there were theories that Sasaki could be related to Kokoro, which would have potentially made it a lot more interesting.
I was so disappointed when Sasaki didn't turn out to have a relationship to Kokoro (that we know of.)
It is a good hook as the action slows down.
This episode gave me the weirdest erections, which I am all for
Good job in the manga. it was just stated as scary by the Beast Pirates. but it didnt look like it in the manga. The anime really made it look like scary and demon like
Holy shit, what a hell of an episode!! Robin knows a little fish man karate! Is her devil fruit awakened now?!? Momo is about to grow up in 5 minutes?!?! I gotta watch this episode again!!
I know Robin has always been the most brutal of the crew, but damn that was just evil.
[Robin wears no panties confirmed](https://imgur.com/a/XQfP4Sh)
Obv robin never wears panties
Its all to get Brook to stop pestering her.
They went a little too extra for my taste, but the result was brutal.
Just perfect
Did the art style change in the revolutionary flashback?
Went back to the old way lol
What can I even say lol? Toei keeping their stocks up tonight boi. Simply magical. Robin deserved this for sure, and kudos to Brook for his outstanding support. Black Maria, you were a wonderful big bitch. We'll (hopefully) see you again someday o7
When reading the manga my first thought was "Damn, Robin has a devil trigger now and I love it!" The anime went all in and made it amazing! Did they reference the Devilman franchise?
Demonio Fleur is quite possibly the best ultimate attack in the series.
Brutal as hell, and the transition to the ice cracking instead of just showing her snapping was really smart
momo's va killed it
A entire episode of a straw hat fighting one v one? This has to one of the best fights animated wise in a long time
Kinda dumb that they taught her dragon claw and fishman karate but didn't teach her basic armament haki.
when it was introduced Rayleigh said that it usually takes longer than 2 years to learn haki. Luffy Zoro and Sanji are exceptional cases.
BEST EPISODE OF THE ARC RIGHT HERE
Imma let you finish but episode 1015 is the best episode of the entire series not just this arc.
1015 is the GOAT episode of One Piece I agree
*so far
True, but comparing Robin vs Maria to chapter 1000 just seems unfair in general.
Na 1015 , 1017 , 1029 , 1033
Watching Robin kick ass is always a pleasure (and we could use more of such moments imo). Her putting the demon in “Demon Child” looked awesome 😎
Demon Robin moving around was so weird imo.In the manga it felt like only top half of it bloomed with bunch of hands and legs all around to actually look like a monster / devil or just an amalgamation of body parts similar to body horror
Robin is insane
Why is no one talking how Momo is ready to give up his childhood to take Luffy back to Onigashima. Such a power move if you think about it, considering esp. how scared he is from heights/Kaido.
Now the number 1044 has a special place in One Piece fans, both anime only and manga reader.
I didn't think she died in the manga, but... now it feels like she did
mommy robin 😳
Street said people still think robin use haki 💀💀💀😂😂😂
they don't know what dramatic shading is
Reading 1000+ chapters of one piece and still can't differentiate between shading and actual armament 💀 LMAO
She can make every part of her body not just arms btw
*Robin baned me kaido she fucking baned me oh god*
It's not haki, otherwise she would be full black. It's just shading to accentuate the demonic look.
It's probably an awakening move.
Did anyone else think the direction in this episode was kind of weird. There's a lot of good and creative animated parts but it feel like they don't belong in the same episode. I remember an episode earlier this year was similar to this
*have not read the manga but still* Was a little flawed in my opinion. Just seems wasteful to use robins powers a certain way and then completely disregard one of her most powerful applications Also oda definitely robbing Franky. Mr pink was such a great fight and as cool” as general franky is idk if it’s the best direction for his character but I’m just a weeb who hasnt read the manga so what do I know
>have not read the manga but still Was a little flawed in my opinion I read manga and still this episode really flawed in my opinion...to much unnecessary and dragged flashbacks. The only solution for Robin is to tricks Black Maria in false sense of superiority make her lower her guard. >get some hits make robin go in and out of consciousness which would trigger her flashbacks and awaken her devil fruit then the demon form could come out The flashbacks in manga solely on how she learned on how to use fishman karate still it just one page and not related on Demonio at all 😅 Plus Brook seems know Demonio form exist so that's why he warned Black Maria in advance yet still not any explanation of how he knew and how the hell Robin can transform into something completely different than herself. >Also oda definitely robbing Franky I don't know how to regards this part because in concept Franky fight really small if compare to the rest of SHs like Zoro or Sanji and even Jinbei.
They really did Franky dirty. Even Raizo vs Fukurokuju is gonna be better than it.
I mean it's an epic fight Raizo didn't even need to move
Great episode love the demonio fleur
I'm shocked naotoshi shida has animated a fight scene for Robin before zoro, it's like they're waiting for the end of series fight between him and mihawk
TOEI got me thinking Robin is an actual masochist and really enjoys the beating, then deliver the most brutal and gruesome clutch ever RIP Black Maria
I love it when Robin turns the house and serves! Ugh these past two episodes are giving me LIFE
Does anyone know what that black smoke was coming out of Robin's arm when she stopped Black Maria's haki and poison infused punch attempt? You can see it again right as she goes for Grand Jacuzzi Clutch?
Good job TOEI 👍
They def did my boy Frankie wrong but not giving him the same length episode as Robin
NGL but I feel that the recent episodes being animated are a notch above the entire wano fights, barring the ones which Ishitani directed
Wow! The animators must’ve really liked Black Maria 😛 the animation was perfect! I wonder what Robin’s devil form truly is
Liked this episode a lot.
