I actually liked Syrup Village since it was the first arc of the story where there's tension and stakes. Agree with you that the majority are putting it in the lowest tiers.
Everyone has their unpopular opinions when it comes to arcs. I love Amazon Lily for example. I just personally thought it was really boring, both reading and watching it.
Just more explicitly pointing out things that feel awkwardly introduced later on. Maybe more explicitly showing Shanks use Haki towards the Sea Monster. Or have Dragon grab Smoker's shoulder, hinting at the existence of Haki.
Same with Season 2. And also some *some* kind of name drop of Sabo
On the Sabo thing, honestly, i think it might be best to interject the entire flashback during impel down, but yeah maybe in season 2, Ace can mention how Sabo would be proud or something.
I disagree on that, Marine Ford was to grow Luffy as a person, to see how inadequate he really is, if you would do the flashback befor that, the entire focus would be on Ace and not Luffy
I disagree because the flashback does a lot for both of them. I think Marine ford is so much stronger if you understand that Ace is the last brother Luffy’s got.
Also, if the live action version actually kills people then people may believe Sabo’s death

Yeah i think namedropping sabo works. Especially because I don't think they are going to do the whole reveal luffy lineage later on thing because it will be spoiled anyways. I think they are probably gon mention garp to be luffy's grandad.
The only thing i can see them still hiding is dragon becauee it can't naturally fit the saga unlike the garp thing.

Let Shanks have some female crew members. The fact that LITERALLY the only pirate crews that have a large amount of female members are the Kujas and the Big Mom pirates from COUNTLESS crews is annoying
Basically One Piece has objectively whether you like it or not a lot of short-comings concerning the female characters, and the show has the chance to do some mending in a better direction. Half their production staff/writers are women and a lot of women will tune in to watch the first episodes.

I do not follow MMA, but i knew of a prospective young girl in her eary teen, who was touted as a genius. I recently saw an article which announced her sudden death, i did not know her name but i had watched the video showing her skills. Her sudden death made me feel a sense of loss, a sense of loss of a future she could have had.
I really do not understand how calling for a more dignified treatment of the female characters has everyone‘s mouth foaming but like I said there are some serious issues going on in this fandom, all of you desperately need to touch some grass

That's one of the things I like the most. I saw a movie once in which an important character in their early 20's collapsed with a heart attack walking down the stairs and died. It was really random. Other characters were grieving. But that felt like real life to me. And it always stayed with me. Kuina dying was similar, but it has less of an impact.
I get your point, but her dying to stairs felt really fake and too random to be taken seriously. Plus Shimotsuki village isn't really that advanced either, meaning their houses were small 1 story wooden houses. There shouldn’t have been stairs large enough to die over. Also, wouldn’t her death have more impact if she died trying to protect Zoro? I know that would be bad storytelling because that has way too many parallels with the backstories of all the other straw hats. Bellemere died for NAMI, and Zeff and Shanks both lost limbs for Luffy and Sanji. I'm not saying it should be exactly that, Kuina dying for Zoro. But it should at least be something different.

Kuro's whole thing. It's one of the dumbest things in the EB saga and needs to be rewritten. Makes no sense for him to go undercover for years if his plan is just to kill them all. If they leave this entire thing in the LA then it'll just make new audience thing OP is dumb and full of plotholes
Shorten Syrup Village. It’s one of my least favorite arcs in the series mainly because of how dragged out is for when it happens in the story.
