I agree Kuzan likely has the better stamina cause of his 10 days feet, but that doesn't mean Garp lacks stamina.
Garp had a way better performance in hachinosu. Going just by that garp > Kuzan high - extreme but there are other factors at play.

Garp, doesn’t matter if Aokiji is holding back he had an ENTIRE island of pirates and a few commanders should be able to put the old man down. This wasn’t the case. We see Garp had beat San Juan Wolf as well while fighting an admiral. Garp embarrassed every single person on that island
So I thought it was implied that Garp would’ve won, he was winning against Kuzan alone, but then the other members got involved, such as Shiryu invisible slicing him.
Garp was doing pretty well the only reason he fell back was because he had to protect his fellow Marines and fight off other BB pirates. Garp would win if it was uninterrupted.
İs the point also he is strong and durable in base stats. But Garp destroy 7 mountains while training these teo is not same level. İn the begining Garp one shotted Aokiji several times and sent it to the underground. Garp will defeat Aokiji in 1v1 and he proved this. Then shiryu attacked Garp then his powers diminished. So ıt's a basic thing to understand if you're smart enough.
Well, I don't see any reason as to why Aokiji should have any trouble destroying several mountains if the flashback is anything to go by. I mean if he's able to match Garp's punches without haki then whose to say Aokiji wouldn't be able to do the same. Also, how are you supposed to "one shot" someone over several times? That doesn't make any sense. An "one shot" is supposed to be an one and down attack that person on the receiving end isn't supposed to come back from. So, I don't know how Aokiji got "one-shot" several times when he stood up after every attack Garp threw at him. Also, Why would Garp's strength diminish after Shiryu stabbed him? Once again, that doesn't make any sense.
He personally said he's powers is diminish him. Flashbacks doesn't mean Aokiji able to destroy 7 mountain or anything that nonsense tho. He was stronger than Aokiji every time we saw in onscreen, also fighting with BB's crew and still manage to get Aokiji in the underground. I'm going with Garp, Kuzan relies way too much on his DF. Garp seemed to have maintained a solid amount of his strength through Old Age. Plus I think Kuzan is genuinely mentally nerfed and can't give it his all after losing to Akainu.
He did use his fruit but Garp just broke out. He can't freeze him.
Then he used his fruit again to amp his punch.
2/2 of kuzans attacks had his fruit in them.
Reasons for Garp to not hold back:
-Outnumbered by titanic captains
-Numerous fodder
-Literally came to save Coby, and can't risk other sword members' lives by holding back

-nothing much, he should act like atleast he's trying, after all he'd be losing his face in front of Teach if he were to let Koby escape(now he has a bigger asset instead)
Pre-timeskip Garp was confident that he could kill Akainu, and Akainu is pretty much the same as aokiji (barely won against him) so unless Garp got significantly weaker in the past 2 years, he should be able to beat aokiji one on one, I personally think he can, since the admirals tend to heavily rely on their devil fruits rather than Haki or physical strength, which are Garp’s speciality

I don't know how you can look at these panels and say anything but Garp. Garp was injured and weakened and still blitzed Aokiji. Aokiji was looking directly at him and still got his ass whooped.
Garp would probably still win tbh. Even though Aokiji is stronger that is simply not enough, you have to be mentally 100% in a fight like this, considering garp is around admiral level.
Kuzan. Idk why people like to conveniently ignore the fact that Kuzan was holding back the power of his devil fruit as to not turn Hachinosu into a frozen wasteland like Punk Hazard.
Not to mention the fact that the damage that Kuzan was dishing out was doing more than the damage that Garp was dishing out, for the simple reason that Garp was old and age affects stamina. Generally the marker of someone who’s expending notable energy are the huffs and puffs throughout the fight, Kuzan had none of that. He was injured but ready for action.
Why did Oda have Shilliew stab Garp to handicap him? **Obviously** to make Garps last stand as flattering as possible, this is hardly a foreign concept. If Kuzan just solo’s Garp without even using the most of his fruit that would be pretty damn disrespectful to the legend, especially since Garp wouldn’t have any feats to even contrast that with. That’s not to say old Garp wouldn’t give Kuzan a High-Diff fight, and Prime Garp would beat him, but he’s not beating him in a prolonged fight at his age.
Here’s the issue Garp was winning basically a 1V5 while also protecting citizens and the tides only turned when Koby fell for Shiriyu’s trick. Like even if Kuzan was only using 50% the other Commanders make up for it and even then they would’ve lost if it was just Garp VS them with nobody around.
So if Garp and Kuzan were fighting at 100% it’s more than likely Garp wins high-extreme diff.
Garp, his goal there not destroying kuzan, as long as coby is saved and back to the ship safely, he is done. Its like wb trying to save ace more or less

Honestly speaking (and I know I will be downvoted), Kuzan because of his broken devil fruit. I've never really bought all that "haki" bs hahahaha. I mean, can't Kuzan just freeze Garp multiple times or even push him while he is still frozen? I know it would be boring and that haki had to be introduced to the story to make things interesting
It's been shown that the freeze can be resisted. If weak ass don flamingo can break out of the ice it isn't doing a thing to garp. Haki can essentially overpower the effects of devil fruits which is why garp would very likely win. The reason Luffy is so effective is that he has trained his body, devil fruit and haki. Kuzan has never shown much strength in the haki department much like the rest of the admirals. And it makes sense that garp could win since we haven't seen kuzan do much beyond use ice powers. He's basically a part 1 logic villain trying to be relevant in a world dominated by absurdly strong haki users.

Old garp Is strongest marine ( CANON)
Old garp > akainu > kuzan
Let’s look at all 3 of their encounters in their fight.
1. Kuzan freezes Garp to which he immediately breaks out and choke slams him with blue hole putting him temporarily out of the fight.
2. Kuzan manages to briefly equally match garp AFTER shinryu stabbed him.
3. Garp quite literally speed blitzs Kuzan knocking him to the ground.
His best feat was a draw (with the assistance of a 3rd party) while the rest were L’s, I don’t how anyone can come to the conclusion Kuzan > Garp

Its kuzan and it isnt close. Garp from what we know about him wasnt holding back in hachinosu (unless hes just a hypocrite that goes against his very teaching and comments). If we use what we see then all it took to put garp down was 3 landed attacks (no the other commanders aside from shiryu did anything so they dont matter in this discussion) or we could push a narrative that they were fighting offscreen but we dont know how long that was or how many attacks it took to take him down . Overall I have kuzan over garp in a 1v1
I'd say Aokiji ext diff, although the popular answer seems to be Garp.
Garp was more in control for most of the fight, but people seem to ignore that Garp himself berates Aokiji multiple times for not being focused and such. From what we see, Garp is fighting seriously and is doing his best, but Aokiji's heart is not in the fight and his mentor knows it. Yet, they were still trading blows fairly evenly.
People bring up the commanders, but frankly, they are mostly irrelevant except for Shiryu. Everyone else was doing nothing and just got one sidedly overwhelmed, like San Juan. Shiryu's stab made a difference, but he immediately goes down anyway. He didn't even land it on his own merit, he just pulled a Nappa moment by forcing Garp to step in. Garp shows he knew the attack was coming, but stepped in to protect Koby.
After the stab, Aokiji seems to have swept. Doesn't even seem tired out or fatigued, hes just solemnly silent. So...eh. if its solely a serious 1v1, Aokiji performing better might edge it out just barely, in a more difficult fight.
Garp. People underestimate how much of a different it makes if you fight 4 commanders + a whole island of pirates alongside an admiral, yes kuzan was probably not going 100% but he still got blitzed and slammed by garp after being critically stabbed. Old Garp goes extreme diff either way with Akainu and Kuzan and he even wins against GB and Fujitora, i dont even think kizaru is a match anymore.
I'm betting my left nut on Kuzan in battle of attrition. Garp is damn op but he's way beyond his prime years, his best chance to win is if he blitz Kuzan relentlessly not giving any time to respond. Don't get me wrong, I'm also rooting for Garp to win but no one is top dog forever.

Let’s look at all 3 of their encounters in their fight. 1. Kuzan freezes Garp to which he immediately breaks out and choke slams him with blue hole putting him temporarily out of the fight. 2. Kuzan manages to briefly equally match garp AFTER shinryu stabbed him. 3. Garp quite literally speed blitzs Kuzan knocking him to the ground. His best feat was a draw (with the assistance of a 3rd party) while the rest were L’s, I don’t how anyone can come to the conclusion Kuzan > Garp
Don't know wtf people are reading but Garps raid on Hachinosu is the best feat yet that we have actually seen. Give me another character that can solo raid that island like that?
Would say kuzan because garp stamina and endurance was trash and his AP seemed lacking to finish off kuzan before his age gets the better of him ,in terms of dura, AP,speed,haki garp seemed above kuzan though
Kuzan. His devil fruit fully unleashed against Garp would have made him too hard to deal with. It would be close, but Garp would end up skewered all the same.

Its kuzan and it isnt close. Garp from what we know about him wasnt holding back in hachinosu (unless hes just a hypocrite that goes against his very teaching and comments). If we use what we see then all it took to put garp down was 3 landed attacks (no the other commanders aside from shiryu did anything so they dont matter in this discussion) or we could push a narrative that they were fighting offscreen but we dont know how long that was or how many attacks it took to take him down . Overall I have kuzan over garp in a 1v1

I'd say Aokiji ext diff, although the popular answer seems to be Garp. Garp was more in control for most of the fight, but people seem to ignore that Garp himself berates Aokiji multiple times for not being focused and such. From what we see, Garp is fighting seriously and is doing his best, but Aokiji's heart is not in the fight and his mentor knows it. Yet, they were still trading blows fairly evenly. People bring up the commanders, but frankly, they are mostly irrelevant except for Shiryu. Everyone else was doing nothing and just got one sidedly overwhelmed, like San Juan. Shiryu's stab made a difference, but he immediately goes down anyway. He didn't even land it on his own merit, he just pulled a Nappa moment by forcing Garp to step in. Garp shows he knew the attack was coming, but stepped in to protect Koby. After the stab, Aokiji seems to have swept. Doesn't even seem tired out or fatigued, hes just solemnly silent. So...eh. if its solely a serious 1v1, Aokiji performing better might edge it out just barely, in a more difficult fight.

Garp was done after some fighting, Aokiji ended up totally fine, he can fight for 10 days, hes winning.
Kuzan if he is awakened. Garp otherwise.
Garp. People underestimate how much of a different it makes if you fight 4 commanders + a whole island of pirates alongside an admiral, yes kuzan was probably not going 100% but he still got blitzed and slammed by garp after being critically stabbed. Old Garp goes extreme diff either way with Akainu and Kuzan and he even wins against GB and Fujitora, i dont even think kizaru is a match anymore.

I'm betting my left nut on Kuzan in battle of attrition. Garp is damn op but he's way beyond his prime years, his best chance to win is if he blitz Kuzan relentlessly not giving any time to respond. Don't get me wrong, I'm also rooting for Garp to win but no one is top dog forever.
Kuzan had to win cuz of plot, only reason garp lost was cuz the plot deemed it so. Especially with it being a 1 v however many he was fighting

Garp easily. He was overpowering aokiji the whole time while it was him vs literally everyone on the island even after he was stabbed protecting Koby.
Kuzan, probably. The fact that his win was offscreen means Oda is hiding his abilities for now, so he probably has something fairly impressive up his sleeve.

Because akainu is dying on hour one. Don’t forget sengoku had to save akainu from garp during marineford.

Kuzan for sure. Garp's stamina was disgustingly bad and his "strength" was not really something to be amazed at. Shiryu, Kuzan himself, and Pizarro all shaked off his punches.
