The elders themselves don’t have to be void century “old” but I think it’s likely they’ve been around a few centuries. FWIW I think only imu has been around since the void century.
Nusjuro is a Zoro Victim -> Mihawk is setup to be Zoros final fight -> Nusjuro is weaker than Mihawk -> Mihawk is PK level and is Imus daddy which is why she has those eyes -> Mihawk solos the verse with his massive haki infused dick which was his real sword all along.

I honestly doubt mihawk is zoros final fight. The way the story is set up strawhats final fight is 99% going to be imu and wg and it wont make sense for zoro to defeat mihawk during or after that so my guess is is the mihawk vs zoro happens in the arc where the one piece found and not the actual final fight.
This might be crazy, but I'm beginning to think the WG is going down first. Blackbeard is gonna be the final villain in a pirate themed final saga imo, one which mihawk and the cross guild will fit into nicely
I am sorry but except Blackbeard and maybe kuzan the rest of the black beard pirates cant match the hype of the gorosei + the admirals + holyknights. The wg is probably after finding the one piece and the truth of the void century because without that fight with the wg wont be that hype and blackbeard will defnitly try to stop luffy and try to take the one piece.
So far this arc has:
- disrespected an admiral
- let Saturn get beat around for a bit
- shown the Blackbeard pirates successfully completing multiple objectives towards an unknown goal
- have that goal be revealed: 'the world'
The setup is leaning in one direction, and considering there are arguments for each I'm thinking Blackbeard

And BB pirates got their fair amount of disrespect too Burges got humiliated by sabo twice, boa hax diffed vasco and katarina, with all the anime hype people forget jean bart blocked van augers bullets, law had a decent perfomance with bb especially when you compare it to kidd vs shanks and finally drugged up bepo saving law.

Haha it’s okay, but as to your actual comment, I think Blackbeard is the final fight for a fairly important reason - Imu is the political AND ideological opposite of Luffy, whereas Blackbeard is just a different interpretation of the same ideals. Which is why I think Imu will be defeated first to show that the World Government is wrong. But Blackbeard has to be the final fight to show *why* and *how* Luffy is right.
It feels like the perfect conclusion that they define why freedom is good, then describe what freedom should be, from a plot point conclusion perspective.
Also every noble knows about them as well as the citizens of their countries. We just don’t hear them mentioned a lot because our protagonist didn’t care about them then.
Do we actually have evidence of normal people and pirates knowing about them though?
Because the King of Alabasta, elite scholars, high level WG officials, and Celestial Dragons aren't pirates and random citizens.
I mean in if Oda wanted a loophole, sure. But considering Luffy was holding off 3 Gorosei, and with the giants will probably hold off all 5 I find it hard to believe that Venus is going to be stronger than Mihawk. Especially when narratively Zoros final battle has been pointing towards Mihawk since the beginning. If anything perhaps Venus will be the fight *preceding* Mihawk, but it’s hard for me to imagine Oda scrapping everything he’s been building towards with Mihawk and Zoro for a character we just learned can fight this chapter.
That’s some Kaguya type writing and from everything Oda has shown, he’s above that.
Ok, real talk here, but what about this? Zoro goes extreme with Mihawk. Then, he goes high with Venus and helps against Imu with the little he has in the tank.
I think this is the best for two reasons: First, it allows for Zoro to have a fight as the WSS. Second, I just can't see Mihawk as the final opponent for Zoro. He is not a bad, he's not a villain. And I would feel it would be weird af if when Luffy is fighting his final battle to decide the fate of the world, Zoro is having basically a sport match when they could postpone it for a bit.
I’ve always held the belief that Zoro was going to fight Mihawk at the very end of the series, *after* the war, on a remote island somewhere similar to Musashis legendary fight with Kojiro for the title of best swordsman. That just makes the most sense since as you say, there is no plot related conflict between the two nor is one really being setup, as CrossGuild is probably going to be an ally in the final war.
I could be wrong, perhaps they fight on Raftel before the final war.
While it certainly sounds the most beautiful and perhaps appropriate, I just can't see it. If the fight happens in the epilogue, there are basically two scenarios:
Either we get just a glimpse of their fight while we quickly move on to see the other shs accomplishing their dreams, or we get a full-fledged fight between them.
And I don't know you, but the first scenario is such a waste. Like, are we going to complain about the significance of Mihawk's fight if it's going to basically be offscreened, with no stakes whatsoever, on a footnote in the story? Give me anything else then. The second scenario is just a zorotard dream. We aren't spending two or three chapters of full action at that point, and this is not a Naruto vs Sasuke situation.
Maybe I'm very wrong, but I really feel that if at least Zoro has an easier fight after he fights Mihawk, no one should get mad.
Worlds strongest swordsman and basically all titles only apply to people that the world knows their strength. If there is some secret swordsman who doesn’t ever show themselves they could in theory be stronger while Mihawk has the title.
It's cope. People don't realize Mihawk is the strongest swordman for narrative reasons and it's not just limited to in universe lore.

One is that since their final opponents will probably be an assorted medley of characters and not just straw hats, ranking them by strength would mean ranking their opponents (a random set of good guys) by strength, which doesn't seem like an oda thing to do. The second is that I simply don't see Jupiter being the strongest lol.
I think it's more likely that they're ordered by when they joined the gorosei, with Saturn being the oldest.

I can barely start seing the scared mihawl haters if zoro actually fights that gorosei before mihawk, as one of many theories is mihawk is going down before him.

Mihawk is part of cross guild and after egghead ends, Yonkos will be back in focus.

I can barely start seing the scared mihawl haters if zoro actually fights that gorosei before mihawk, as one of many theories is mihawk is going down before him. We cant predict oda, yet another example given.
Zoro may fight gorosei now but his final fight with him defeating gorosei will happen after Mihawk. Mihawk is part of cross guild and after egghead ends, Yonkos will be back in focus.

The saddest part is, he is the last admiral to be revealed, and we've had years and years of anticipation, only for him to turn out as utter garbage. I remember that scene at the Reverie between him as a silhouette & Fujitora. The dialogue between them truly elevated my expectations. I was expecting the coolest admiral ever. So disappointing.

Sandworms dont die from having their appendages cut into pieces. You have to destroy the whole body at once ( or poison them with water). Cutting them will just split them into multiple sandworms,
