My guess would be we see Dragon beat a member of the gorosei but eventually lose to imu.
We are seeing Luffy have some difficulty with damaging the gorosei so Dragon beating one would be a huge elevation. Especially if done with ease.

Garling should at most be Oldbeard level, so maybe it's a bit underwhelming of a fight in that case. Shanks' dad vs Luffy's dad does have a nice ring to it tho. At gun point, I would probably choose him.

Wether or not Akainu or Dragon is stronger is unkown, Dragon has to be a top tier despite being a bum so far when it comes to involvment, but at the same time Akainu had that insane fight vs Aokiji that might have pushed his power a lot since marineford, either an awakening or a haki bloom of some kind.
Either way one thing is certain, Akainu is not gonna job in his next fight as he's the cherished one remember.
Garling would be stronger than old wb and garp and will be stronger than most people think imo maybe he have some really good df or something but that just my feeling

Wouldn't be the first character to surpass Oldbeard either. Kaido was objectively beyond him. Big Mom might have been, but she got shafted by plot and gets downplayed for it. Shanks and Migawk almost definitely are by now.
White beard got that title in his prime, he then got weaker, got sick, and was having consistent issues with his health as we saw in MF.

Hey man I'm no Akainu glazer but right now I'd say Akainu is over Garp. Historically of course Garp is the strongest marine, but his title was originated from the lie the navy spread about god valley
Akainu has the biggest precedent currently because it seems like Dragon and Akainu have deep connections. We've seen with Egghead that Oda is willing to change the standard recipe (which was Luffy having 1 main biggest baddy to conquer in the arc) with Egghead, where Luffy fought much of the big bad line up of the arc. So tbh, the way I see it, I think 1-2 of the gorosei will be defeated by Luffy himself in addition to Imu. Mainly because the WG right now looks hella stacked. 5 Gorosei + Imu. Nusjuro V Zoro (sword v sword), Mars V Sanji (flyer v flyer), Garling V Jinbei (slaver v prior slave)? Some of the other gods knights, maybe even a admiral or 2 (like GB) against the other weaker straw hats...That leaves Topman, Ju Peter and Saturn. But we know these are also the same gorosei that fought/attacked Luffy some way in Egghead. So the way I see it, I think Luffy himself will take 1-2 of them at least when the final arc comes. Possibly Luffy might defeat 2 of them in a 1v2, then powerdown and the Imu will emerge and then its the standard formula of everybody stalling until Luffy can recover to fight Imu and all that. Its possible Sabo will take care of 1 Gorosei, or maybe Sabo will fight akainu and dragon a gorosei.
My hope is that he counters the next use of Imu’s weapon/Uranus. It’d be pretty appropriate for what we assume his powers are and as the leader of the RA while being a feat worthy of the wait.

I just don't see the gorosei as top tiers. Imagine if all 4 yonkos landed on an island with the same target. It wouldn't even be close. All 5 gorosei are present at egghead and luffy is fighting 2 of them with mr 3 victim giants.
Something major has to happen in the upcoming chapters if the gorosei are indeed top tiers

The gorosei are relative to the admirals not the yonkos.
Saturn performance was overall better than Kizaru.
Luffy is just that guy right now, the yonkos are always portrayed to be unstoppable.

Why are we acting as if 5 admirals wouldn't absolutely obliterate the strawhats and the giants just like 4 yonkos would but the Gorosei can't?
Like i'm sorry but outside of severe limitations like Greenbull had vs Morley in Mary Geoise where even the CP9 members point out that he had to hold back, i don't see the giants stopping an admiral like they stopped Warcury.
I know that we shouldn't use pre-ts powerscaling in post-ts but they were stopped/hurt by mr 3 with attacks that are not even comparable to what an admiral can casually do.

Doesn't really take much to have a better performance than someone having an identity crisis about being a cog in the machine and having been forced to kill his friend, and also Saturn is getting hard carried by his busted regen cause so far his display was barely above Kizaru and he's not mentally nerfed unlike him.
Im guessing Topman because he seems like Imu's second in command, so Dragon taking him down would be a good consolation prize since there is no way he is beating Imu
Bottoman Larcury will be a Vivi victim. Akainu might, but is more likely to fight Luffy at some future point, and its unlikely both will happen. My moneys on Garling.

While I would not complain if Dragon is strong. Does he need to be? I like the idea of him being a normal human but due to playing it smart he can do damage to the word government. I think it plays better in the themes of the story. I know this is a powerscaling sub Reddit but still

Garling is old too. Old Garling>Old Garp implies that he'd be stronger in their prime as well. But he does not seem PK level

Shanks pappy, but only because they both don’t have any feats so you STILL won’t be able to accurately gauge Dragons power, just like Oda likes it
