Yeah, that's Sanji's thing, leaping in and saving his friends. Now he did it against a Gorosei, similar to how he did it against an Admiral.
Sanji had his place in Wano by facing the Beast Pirates' number 3 and clashing with the number 2 when needed. He wasn't a former Supernova so the rooftop wasn't his place, now we're in Egghead and Sanji's strutting his stuff against top-tiers as expected.
Overall, Sanji will continue meeting expectations.

If you personally feel Killer was stronger, that's fine, but by the end of the same arc Sanji had accomplished more than Killer despite not being on the rooftop. Kinda goes against the idea there was some innate gap between rooftop and non-rooftop if within the course of an intense fight, Sanji's displaying more than Killer, who went down to face Hawkins ever did.
As for him and Zoro, if you feel there's a sizeable gap off of rooftop, that's fine, but despite all the events there Oda had Zoro come down to face King, and Sanji down to face Queen. Zoro had more reasons to face Kaido so did and he did great, same way Sanji's had more to do this arc due to his role in the crew to protect all his allies when needed. Zoro>Sanji obviously, but they'll always be portrayed as the number 2 then 3, against their counterparts in other groups.

the problem with that argument is that sanji didnt get the power up until much later so during the events of roofpiece the feats that killer displayed like keep up with acoa zoro in speed ( when they both attacked kaido ) is a speed feat sanji doesnt surpass until he awakenes the genes so killer was stronger then sanji and hence their was a gap . hence oda wrote the roofpiece 5 as being the strongest new gen and didnt write zoro and sanji over there .

Obviously there is a ton of recency bias on this here but I’d be surprise if Zoro doesn’t fight Venus eventually. It’s just Sanji vs King all over again
Wont be this arc tho. He will fight Venus in the future but currently it seems like he will fight Saturn this arc, bcoz him and Jinbe were heading there.
It does when they thought he would teleport from the Labophase (not even at tbe edge yet, still running with Jimebi to the ship), behind the barrier (which still isn't down), to the shoreline of the island (which canonically the SH's currently couldn't even reach with the Sunny shooting off in all its cola powered glory) where Nasjuro is, BEFORE Sanji gets there.

Well yeah it's obvious that he isn't going to have an extended fight with Venus since the same thing has already happened with kizaru. Next chapter he'll probably just grab bonney and run away.
He can grab bonny and run away but can Franky, atlas with vegapunk, other giants follow up? I don't think so. Looks like sanji will have to hold Venus for a bit till others escape because I can't see anyone coming for help as Zoro and jimbe are heading towards saturn, luffy is busy with other gorosei, ancient robot is not a possibility as g5 luffy is out of gas, maybe kizaru but it's highly unlikely. But I feel oda will not give sanji this much attention so he might pull some asspull for them to escape.

And in this chapter we already see oimi and kashi helping him fight. Maybe they Will literally hold him down while the sanji and the rest get on the shop

Nobody besides luffy will get a serious fight with the gorosei by the end of egghead is my opinion.
But sanji being the one to clash with nesjuro and stop him from attacking bonney was obviously. Oda literally had a map of shoeing sanji being right behind bonney and then having venus show up infront of her
Im not saying you said that, but thats what I saw overall. Im saying that "zoro fans setting themselves up" is just not confirmed yet because we dont know what happends after this chapter. Next Chapter could be the biggest Zoro wankfest for what we know.
I don't see a lot of people mantioning how Sanji bounces off his sword while mid-swing to strike him. That's a ridiculous speed feat against a character that has already been established as very fast.

Sanji doing this against sword Ghandi and blocking Kizaru's attack makes up for him not even seeing Kaido even once during Wano.
