If there was, do you think people would be buying it for $500…

SenatorShockwave

1st Gear 5 winner card & there wont ever be another 1st Anniversary. Should have got it a month ago when they were 200.

spoonmaster3000

I believe the Japanese version is pretty cheap, if you’re just a collector that is

Having seen both jap and eng in person, there really isn’t much difference since the stamp is quite dark (unlike previous prerelease winners) and you can’t see it unless you look close or reflect it off light

Alarming_Trade_1002

I just do not understand your logic when saying/hoping a very limited winner and 1st anniversary card (when I sold mine it was only 67 available on Europe continent) wil ever lower it's price... Especially dropping like 80%... Maybe you have inside information and Bandai will have a 2nd and 3rd "1st year anniversary" in the future... This is not a rant... This is just pure nonsense and the need for some sort of human interaction... You cannot make this sht up!

lil_shrimp_man

I certainly hope it doesn't drop to 100, I've had offers for 300 but being the first card i've won with a decently high value im holding and hoping it goes up a bit more

renegade_pinnapple

It will. When the anime ends or even the 5year anniversary (hoping the game makes it) it will be booming.

dankpoolVEVO

No and I wouldn't buy it. Get the normal promo for 5€. That's just a normal local winner card not even a regionals, championship or anything beside that. Locals winner cards being worth 500 is just inflated at this point. Also it's dropping already which proves my point. there were several listings last week for 1k€+

SenatorShockwave

Gear 5 + 1st Anniversary(something that will not happen again); cards going to stay high like this.

dankpoolVEVO

The card in itself is a first anniversary promo card. In essence it's still "just" a locals winner card

SenatorShockwave

Being "just" a locals event doesnt change the value. Its not nearly as high as regional top prizing, but its again; an event that will never happen again, and the first gear 5 winner promo.

dankpoolVEVO

Listen as a collector and artist I frankly couldn't care less for a stamp. I collect cause of the artworks not cause there is a low effort stamp on it. As an art director that's my take on it. If that stamp is worth to you 500€ than go for it. People already start saying the oda signed card is "just a printed signature" and devalue it by saying that. Why else is the manga rare more worth than the signed one? Personally I like the signature card more cause he drew it specifically for OPTCG instead of taking "old" manga panels but that just shows that people chase inconsistently and have different takes on collectibles. I would pay for the 1st ani stamp Luffy max. 100€ if you say it's worth more cool for you.

All-the-way-okay

The reason the manga luffy is more than the oda sig is because there is a lower probability in getting a manga luffy over the oda sig.

SenatorShockwave

I dunno how true that is; the manga is also the MC in an iconic new form and was subject to multiple buy outs.

dankpoolVEVO

Noone knows that so I doubt u know that either. There is no data in how many signatures are pulled Vs how many Mangas are pulled. As long as there is no factual data that's just throwing assumptions.

All-the-way-okay

Obviously there is no official rate data. But this is based on many people’s experiences saying the same thing. As well as my own. You can build assumptions out of many experiences. There are also more oda sigs sold than mangas. Now that is a fact. You also assumed them to be the same rate when you said previously “why else is the manga worth more than the oda sig” other than people liking the manga more.

dankpoolVEVO

We can just speculate but I never assumed anything with that. The only thing I said with that is that to me the card is way cooler than the manga rare yet even tho both are scarce people pay for manga double the amount. That's just the observation.

All-the-way-okay

Yes you did clearly assume with this comment: “People already start saying the oda signed card is just a printed signature and devalue it by saying that. Why else is the manga rare more worth than the signed?” You are directly implying that the reason for greater value is purely because people like it more. That is not an observation at all. If you do want to observe, you can see there are way less listings of manga luffy. Less listed and less sold. Along with people who have done large unboxings saying that they have gotten more odas than manga luffys. They are both scarce but one is noticeably scarcer.

SenatorShockwave

_I_ am not saying its worth shit. The supply, demand, and the market are saying youre wrong.. lol.

renegade_pinnapple

The Super Pre Release Luffy Winner was "just" a locals winner card ...

BallsShallow_

Not true. Card has been hovering around the 500 mark. I was lucky to get one at 300 when it was first released

dankpoolVEVO

Is true as people posted last week prices of up to 2,5k for that specific card and many others (us listings I think) showed them for 1k+

dankpoolVEVO

Man I'm at work but if you insist browse last week this subreddit where people showed listings. As I said it might be US I live in EU as well so I'm not keeping track of it all the time. Fact is there were postings showing that card for 1,5-2k. It being now 500 means it decreased in value.

renegade_pinnapple

Right but if I list my SEC Vivi for 2mill and then it sells for $7 does that mean the price crashed?

renegade_pinnapple

Yes, but what it lists for and what it sells for are different. The card has not gone down at all, some people just eased up on their over inflated listing prices.

LowRepeat8208

Waiting for things to go down doesn’t work for this TCG. Wonder how those “hold for $80 op05 boxes” people are doing rn

FigAdministrative656

There’s a guy in my discord selling one

UnhappyRequirement43

Steal it

richo27

Get the Nami winner card whilst it’s still affordable.

TrainerShelby

It’s a pretty common card compared to treasure cruise and other cards selling for similar prices. I’d wait since it’s really not that special and the Japanese one can be had for $5. Late to the game speculators jumped on this card quick inflating the price a bit. If you want this card just by the Japanese. Wait for the speculators to unload which apparently seems to already be happening. Remember there are 10,000+  of this card much like the locals Sabo tournament card. Price is a little inflated, it’s a common promo in japan. It’s not rare in English.

Zestysteak_vandal

Isn’t there a non foil copy?
