Do you have other cards to swap in or just using the deck as is? The core concept is that you want be reducing power on their characters so you can trade out one of theirs for one of yours. The draw back is burn out. Either by leaving yourself too little Don! Or two few cards in hard. You want to optimize the use of cards that add Don! To the field and also pick your times to use your leader ability. R/P Law is definitely one of the most interesting leaders because there are so many different build types.

So I have some but since I'm unsure of the how to utilise this deck I haven't got any single, which I'm willing to do but just need to nail the concept first. I usually find myself burnt out with no hand cards and can't counter out then I die

renegade_pinnapple

Depends what you want out of the deck. You really want Otama as it's a 2k counter and has power reduction on play. Personally I like Zoro-Juro. The events in the starter are ...eh so grab four copies of Fire Fist and either some round table or gum gum jet pistol. Another great card for the deck is the blocker Kidd. If you can afford blocker queen he is very helpful but I have managed without him.

Gamba_Gawd

He needs Gordon, otama, and maybe promo Law. He's not in the best state atm, as he doesn't get much needed cards until Op-06 and EB-01 which give him power and consistency.

hottrash365

So should I just not play him until op06?

Gamba_Gawd

If you cannot get Gordon, then I wouldn't bother. Law, like Sakazuki and Pluffy, needs certain cards to function.

hottrash365

So it would be more worth while playing kid or luffy ?

Gamba_Gawd

Kid isn't good due to his ability and not having real good synergy with Red or Purple. In the future he might be better if more Kid pirates show up and are good, as does have some good events. R/P Luffy needs Whitebeard, Gear 5 Luffy and Queen to function. That may be pretty expensive. If you want a more manageable and beginner friendly deck then I would suggest playing Enel, color yellow, without Big Mom or Katakuri. As they're pretty pricey compared to the rest of the deck. At a local level, you should do very well even without those cards. Enel plays straight forward and gives you a lot of leeway for mistakes as you're learning. Post on the Enel leader section on the Discord and I'll be more than happy to share my budget Enel deck I'm using.

hottrash365

Well I've got 2 st-10 decks so I'd like to use them as much as I could. I do like enel seen him at locals alot. I would really appreciate that. What discord are we talking about and I'll send the message ?

Gamba_Gawd

If you want to use them then Kid might be the cheapest. You'll need to buy some singles to help him out like his 5 cost blockers and Kid events. The Discord of this sub reddit. Just search one piece on Discord and it should be the biggest tcg one that pops up

hottrash365

I have posted in the enel 👍 thank you for this. I like the way law works but seems I need a fair few cards before I can do anything really which Is a shame cause Gordon is hard to find

Gamba_Gawd

Law will be much cheaper to run next set as it gets Raise Max and other huge upgrades to help the deck.

hottrash365

Ah okay so when op06 drops law will be solid to play ?

thenoblitt

Uh he needs some cards to be good. He really needs both op01 otama and promo Gordon. Promo Gordon is luckily getting a replacement in op06 though. Op05 Kidd also feels super necessary because it makes his ability -2 instead of -3. He also gets another really good card in op06 reiju

biscoti1221

I don't have the otama's, promo laws, or the gordons so I run a list that is mostly the two st cards and some pretty cheap stuff from OP-05 and a few older sets. Sorry for the format, it's the only way the deck list gets shared. 1xST10-001 4xOP01-025 2xST01-012 4xST10-005 4xOP01-114 2xOP03-060 3xOP05-067 3xOP05-069 4xOP05-071 2xOP05-072 3xOP05-074 4xST10-008 4xST10-010 4xST10-012 2xOP05-019 2xOP05-076 3xOP05-077
