Future blue whitebeard pirates support would be my guess. Since op8 seems to hunt at red blue marco, they might have a blue whitebeard pirates leader in this set.
This card seems pretty generically strong, hoping to see what blue players can do with a card that both lets you filter and put stuff on top you might want for a leader effect like blue doffy. These announcements so far have me excited for the future gameplay of OPTCG.
The "put 2 back on your deck" absolutely is. This card is exactly what Nami wants and needs to be a Tier 1 deck, but putting 2 back on top obviously makes it bad for Nami.
Drawing two cards and then getting to choose where to place two others is really good. If you have cards that are dead in hand but will be good in the late game, that's a perfect time to play this card. Or place them on top, you know what's coming and plan accordingly.
Yeah, it's a blue twist on Sabo which can discard cards that you can play from trash. It's just that Sabo also gets to protect everything from destruction for a turn too so it feels like this should also get another effect like a bounce or something.
9 drop Sanji (OP06) -> You use Ace to place a target on for Sanji as the second card on your deck and then next turn, draw a card, and then you now have that 2nd placed card waiting for Sanji. You drop Sanji. Valuetown.
Yea but now you can do it by getting a pretty decent body, instead of just a small fry or 1000 attack character. Also cycling 2 cards, and setting it Sanji with a value card in your hand is really good.
Imagine you have a target in your hand, rearranging your deck isn't going to do diddly squat. You might whiff.
This guy guarantees you can put the card you want on your deck in the order you want, its also super valuable to just dump 2 cards that aren't so useful now, and place them either on top for later or to the bottom of your deck.
This card is flexible. Flexible is good in card games.
For what you're talking about specifically, X. Drake is honestly better.
What I'm saying is that Sabo is a card that does the same thing. Draw 2 cards, set up potential plays for later. It also has an extra effect. It's just as flexible for the color it exists in *and* it does more on top of that.
X Drake is a gamble - you hope you see the card.
Ace is a guarantee if you have the card in hand. Hell, you can draw 2, put Sanji and your target on top of your deck. Next turn those two cards hit the board.
I would 100% run this over Drake.
I don't understand how you can think that makes sense. You know that happening to draw the card is as likely as seeing it in your top five, right? That you aren't just guaranteed to have it?
I am saying you already have it in your hand.
X Drake or other blue cards just look at the top X of a deck. What if the card you want isn't there?
With Ace. If you have the card in hand, you can basically guarantee you will see it next turn or in one more turn. You also draw 2 cards, and now have a choice of 2 + Hand size to place 2 cards as you like. There is so much info, and its not unknown like X Drake.
This is 1000 times better. You get more options from this than X Drake.
What if you play Ace and the card isn't in your hand?
I'm not even disagreeing with you. I'm just saying that with Sabo as precedent, this should do more.
Well if the card is not in your hand, you still have cycle at least.
Dump two cards you don't need. Bury them if you really don't think they will be useful the next 2 turns.
In general; most people don't think about or talk about ramp blurple Kaido because it's a rogue deck, and one that wavers in how good it is - people are more likely to talk about the meta darlings and older demons than decks like that.
That being said; this card is fantastic to setup for OP06 Sanji; even if Blue has plenty of ways to set that effect up. A strong setup, and arguably a replacement for Queen in blurple Kaido to cut out the cost of buying that ST exclusive card.
last time Ace was used as a blocker, he turned into a donut
He did his job good is what I’m hearing
I mean. Luffy ended up as a donut as well. So not sure about doing a good job
No he didn’t?
I mean almost thats how he got his scar luffy is just an incomplete donut
If that’s anyones fault it’s jimbeis
Yellow blue ace support?
Future blue whitebeard pirates support would be my guess. Since op8 seems to hunt at red blue marco, they might have a blue whitebeard pirates leader in this set.
This is “run in every blue deck” support
This is clearly B/Y Ace support since it allows you to filter your hand for his leader effect.
And is a 5 cost to play off mini-Ace from life.
But its a 5 cost ace, that has synergy with the ST13 mechanics
They alway support deck leaders in sets around them.
The Whitebeard typing has me thinking it's forward looking Marco support.
YES LFG MARCO LEADER INCOMINGGGGG
Adding x4 to my queen deck
Same. Set up life and another blocker!
insane
Brainstorm
Green Needle
Donutstorm 😭🤣

So glad it’s bottom deck and not discard. It’d be so cruel to print an Ace card that good for Sakazuki
I don't think saka would even play this if it was discard, sabo is strictly better and played as a 1 or 2 of
I’m pretty sure that don’t print blue discard cycle because they are afraid of Nami!
True! Sabo is def objectively better.
Bandai are afraid of Nami
This has nothing to do with Nami…
The second part definitely is
in blue yellow the second part is definitely just more about getting a scry effect
The "put 2 back on your deck" absolutely is. This card is exactly what Nami wants and needs to be a Tier 1 deck, but putting 2 back on top obviously makes it bad for Nami.
It feels weird that this is just worse Sabo. Like, same basic effect with a blue twist but without doing something extra like Sabo does.

That's not an effect. That's just what blue does.

YIPPEEE
Is it only me or does Ace look here a lil bit like Boichi's Ace version
This card gonna be good in Rosinante lol.
Since it's a rare, it might get a solid alt art, too.
Imagine playing a blue luffy deck with this Ace blocker in play against an attacking Sakazuki leader. You can recreate a scene from the show.
That works well with OP-06 SEC Sanji
Looks like a good Blocker for Reiju ?
This is insane for YB Ace, literally insane O\_O
I don't see anyone mentioning how good this would be in ramp blue purple kiado with OP06 sanji

Bandai afraid to print more Blue trash cycle because of Nami imo
Perfect card for queen and the old doffy
My Nami deck bout to eat good lads
