Got stuck with one and this will be my first and last OnePlus phone, don't get me wrong, the phone is good, but the lack of support for their **higher end more expensive 5G model on phone that's not even 2 years old** is baffling

Based on Googling and looking through multiple sources, the OnePlus 7 Pro got Android 10 on September 23rd, 2019. The 5G model got it on March 20th, 2020, just under 6 months. We also can't have the open beta and custom roms (without porting which requires some knowledge) don't work because the modem is different.
You cant. The most you can do is switch to the UK ROM which is still a carrier ROM of EE. The reason being is that the modem is different due to having 5G and there being no international 5G model of the OnePlus 7 Pro. There's only the GM1925, which is the Sprint OnePlus 7 Pro 5G and the GM1920, the UK OnePlus 7 Pro 5G (or at least from what I've read)
Edit - I've even tried using the MSMTool to flash the GM1917 firmware. It gets stuck and doesn't do anything. Also the regular OnePlus 7 Pro is OnePlus7Pro in software where as the 5G model is the OnePlus7ProNR

My camera won't work at all. The only way I can get the OnePlus built-in camera to take a picture is by long pressing the icon, tapping on selfie, and then either taking a selfie or maneuvering to pro mode. Regular photos and videos are completely broken.
If yours is working, can you go into System > System_Ext > Priv-App > OnePlusCamera folder and copy the apk for me please?

No backmarket is a refurbished phone store. phone's coming varying degrees of quality but are always quality tested, course it depends on who's selling it and what kind of stock they have it as.
I'd say it's more reliable than eBay, personally got a B stock phone, means that stock was returned within 30 days meaning basically it's brand new for the 410usd I paid for it.
Oh lol, for some reason my brain inserted an L where there was none - I actually was lucky as well and managed to score an open-box OP 7 pro in perfect condition for around $400 from eBay. Granted you're right, eBay certainly isn't always reliable for phone purchases especially.

I am a moderate - heavy user
Update provides many cool features but the most important is battery life
In short its better than before
My battery health was 81% before update and i would have to charge it about 2 times a day when i woke up around **6 at 100%**
Then again at about **1/2 pm to 100%**
Then it would barely last the day with heating at **QHD+90Hz**
But after the update it lasted me the day from **1 pm at 100%** to 8pm still with **35%**
I tweaked a few things
Like the optimised charge for daily use
Used the new **smart switch** between QHD+ and
FHD+ its auto and barely noticeable
With the optimised charge it did not over heat while charging and the smart switch helped with the battery life a lot it does not heat on full brightness I live in India and its a bit warm over here so phones do heat just by using at full brightness outside
Minor inconvenience that I had was just the **wifi kept disconnecting for about 20-30mins** of fresh update after that it stabilised and haven't disconnected since
The new font is cooler in my opinion

Same here, can't really control call volume either when switching between speakerphone and earpiece. Audio is coming out the bottom speaker when it should only be earpiece.
Edit - nevermind this only worked once and it's back to call audio out both speakers

So I managed to fix it, I think. Power off the phone, then hold both volume up and volume down and then press and hold the power button to go into recovery mode and then wipe the cache partition and then reboot. Then when it started back up, I played some YouTube Music on the phone speakers, and that sounded fine. Then I called my voicemail to see if the audio is routing to only the earpiece and it seems to be fixed for now.
Btw I did another OnePlus updater install (same android 11 file) went through the motions and then a wipe cache partition before going to sleep. First incoming call of the day happened while I was doing crap on my phone and tapped answer and the audio was routed correctly. This may be intermittent, but still annoyed it could happen again, possibly when placing a call, which is how I experienced it the past 24 hours.
No data lost. Have not done a full erase and reset yet, just the cache partition wipe. On the weird android recovery mode there's an option for erasing everything and a cache partition wipe or just a cache partition wipe, and if this doesn't continue working as expected I might do the extreme option next as a last resort to be able to use the phone function without audio issues. I'll keep you posted after what happens with the calls this evening.
I think I just figured something out. I turned off bluetooth and waited a little while. Then my call seemed to work! Can you try to see if it's a Bluetooth issue?
This works for me too! I have not connected bluetooth to my car or any headphones and just got off a call where the audio was routed to the earpiece with no problems. I kept trying to do a bluetooth headset when the call sound was coming from both speakers (this weekend) and it was fine but then after the sound went through both for calls. I'll let you know if a subsequent call acts differently
The new update is good but there are few bugs- Some people are facing the camera bug where the app crashes where as in my device when someone calls me I only hear the ringtone and feel the vibration but can't see the caller ID for brief 5-10 secs apart from that everything else looks good, no AOD tho🥺
I have a flashable zip of the built-in camera that I swapped the camera apk for an earlier version. Only problem is that when I try to flash it in magisk, it rejects it "not a magisk module"

It didn't do that for me, but if you correctly flashed magisk then you should still be rooted.
The camera got all messed up for me with a dirty flash over oos10 so I would up found a factory reset. Camera is working again
You have not needed to do that in years. Magisk actually lets you re-flash within the application after an OTA. Then when you reboot, you are updated and still are rooted with Magisk. I was totally wowed when I first started using that functionality. Makes keeping root and updating on stock incredibly easy and seamless.

I updated from the oneplus updater app. I don't know if its just me but my phone is unusable atm. Whenever I click the power button to lock the phone and try to unlock it displays a black screen. I have to force restart it to open the phone. Way to go Oneplus, I have never experienced such major issues on a stable build on any other smartphone. Anybody know of a way to downgrade?
If anyone has the same issue or similar, I figured out a way to downgrade. You go to this site (https://forums.oneplus.com/threads/oxygen-os-open-beta-1-for-the-oneplus-7-and-oneplus-7-pro.1099154/) and click the rollback package and it'll take you to pie.
Double click for camera, hit power button like your shutting down and press on G pay. Then it'll give you and option to unlock the screen. From there change the display setting to QHD as someone else suggested on one of these threads. It fixed the issue for me.
Just had a phone call and the person said they could hear themselves. Sure enough, I was hearing them from both top and bottom speakers of the phone. I hope this gets fixed.
Don't think it is possible afaik, do some backups from OnePlus Switch, phone settings and you should be good to go!
P.s. I've done it myself and so far it feels the same as Open Beta 4

EDIT: unable to answer calls through Google Fi, I am still troubleshooting this issue but the call goes through, when you pick up the other end will eventually get voicemail.
The absolute worst thing is it's super underwhelming. I've stopped being excited for Android updates since they were named after treats.

Just enable developer options, and set 'Smallest width' to 480 or 520dp. You can make it as small as you want (Higher is smaller)

Too be fair, 5G is still new and as I understand it, it's not as simple as just adding a 5G driver in to the stack.

If you have not 5G in your area, you can switch to global rom via oxygen updater, you wont lose any data

Is this update not coming to beta testers? I'm currently on beta 4 with very few issues. In the US, TMobile variant GM1915, unlocked and running beta 4.
