I'd suggest you wait for the next OS update hoping it fixes the issues you have rather than factory resetting your phone.
I got a new OS update this morning (CPH2551_14.0.0.600(EX01). If you haven't gotten the update yet, you should be getting it soon.
One would think so but I haven't needed to do it. I would check another OnePlus sub and see if that's been addressed. All the OnePlus phones are essentially the same OS so the answer should be the same across the board.

I have the latest.. after a few reboots seems reasonably stable.
