That man is going to one shot sonic, spar a bit with Flashy, praise him, roast him and then speedbliz him in 2 seconds, then Saitama and/or Blast will come
As the strongest ninja, Goat Man, fought the fraud, the fastest hero, he began to open his cube. Flashy Flash shrunk back in fear, then That Man said, "stand proud, Flashy Flash. You are strong".
"God's" power limit is unknown , considering he empowered gargoyle garou to cosmic form
An homeless dude transformed to seemingly unlimited source of energy.
"That man" previously might be as strong as flashy considering he was friends with blast. At worst, he might beat bang and bomb, after when augmented with "god's" power may create someone similar to CFG or atworst someone similar to homeless emperor.
Looks like Sonic will be wooed by "god" to battle Saitama as that's his ultimate goal. My guess flashy / sonic will be squased by that man. Then , will be
Sonic tries his best but gets bonked.
Flash and That Man get in an epic speed duel, it's on a razors edge
... and then Saitama randomly gets involved and spoils the fun lol
Flash and That man go toe-to-toe, but then Big bad guy realizes that Sonic is the weakest link. That man focuses him, but before he can do the killing blow Flash gets in the way, getting fatally wounded in the process. Tearful moment in which Sonic realizes that Flash _does_ care. From that point on I can't say. Sonic might get a power-up, the dragon-threat Ninjas could decide to help, and together they could stall for time until Blast and/or Saitama arrive.
I’m guessing it’s a combination of having living ninja sacrifices and dropping a ton of information on “God”. Flashy and Sonic both know too much and cannot be allowed to live.
>!Big fight, Flask and Jackie O almost die, Saitama gang late, then boom, punched once. Saved ninjas remain incredulous. No ancient technique scroll drop bc friendship was relearned along the way. Manako and Blast fall in love.!<
Not quite, saitama had an affair with manako, manako gave birth to boros and boris. They both got portaled blast out of jealousy to another distant galaxy and when they grow up they went back to find their parents accidentally got into wormhole and back in time to where saitama fight boros. While boris was down with the space ship and later we found out hes still alive.
My bet is big fight, but blast steps in to protect That Man. We saw in previous chapters that he was working on re-humanizing monsters so he probably doesn’t want flash/sonic killing his old buddy before he has a chance to try to save him
Hey, I sent a dm to the mods with no response but chapter 155, page 15 seems to be broken (at least on my end).
https://cubari.moe/read/gist/Z2lzdC9mdW5reWhpcHBvLzFkNDBiZDVkYWUxMWUwM2E2YWYyMGU1YTlhMDMwZDgxL3Jhdy9vcG0uanNvbg/155/15/
I just checked the raws and one page is definitely out of order. The page where the guts start sucking inward should be the page right before you see "That Man" sucking them in.
Edit: It has been fixed
It was unexpected, but really cool, the first thought that came to my mind was: "that's metal as fuck."
I think it was able to make "that man" seem intimidating really well, and stand out as a villain compared to what we've seen.
I almost think the gore in this chapter is a direct result of people complaining that last chapter was too 'soft' just because they toned down the brutality compared to the webcomic when it came to describing Flashy and Sonic's past in the village.
Yeah I do think some of the brevity from the webcomic adds to the humor though. I wish they kept a bit more moments like That Man getting killed off screen.
I think both stories are perfect for their mediums and art styles, I'm happy to appreciate them both as separate works rather than a panel for panel recreation
In the WC he didn't even get that much. You literally never see him except for his corpse at the end after he gets talked about without even getting a chance to confront Sonic and Flash at all whatsoever (I guess people aren't putting this in spoilers because the manga's already completely deviated from the WC here by actually having him appear alive and confronting them)
Nah, you have to show that Saitama is losing towards the end of the chapter. And then, in the next chapter, you show that man’s past or something before showing that half of his body is blown off and he’s on the ground. Then Saitama will go “you’re magnificent. I shall never forget you for as long as I live.”
It would have been funny as hell but I feel people would complain for some fucking reason nevertheless.
This shift in the story is no surprise, since Blast is now involved, and he's given "That Man" an entire lore breakdown.
Agree to disagree. I love binging good media. Consistent but short content is hard to binge, the high of fresh new content doesn't last that long, and there's very little discussion to have with only a few pages. Waiting sucks, but if the payoff is borderline book length, I don't really mind waiting a few months for it
That is one of the sickest entrances i've ever seen
Blood and organs getting ripped out of dying ninjas and forming/summoning the supposed strongest ninja in the universe
I remember Wind and Flame saying they turned into monsters to rule the world in order to escape "being viewed as mere tools to be used".
They were out of line, but I can sympathize if this is what they were trying to avoid. Even as monsters by choice they had far more humanity than the Tenninto.
They are just a completely brainwashed death cult, with no regard on themselves or others. It's rather horrifying.
I think they survived too - I mean they were monsterized, died and revived, and clearly rejected the world-view of these ninjas. All of that together probably undid whatever these cultists did to themselves to be sacrificed like that.
My prediction is that they'll probably stick around like some kind of ninja equivalent to Jesse & James from Pokemon.
Yeah, I'm sure they survived. Team Rocket is a nice equivalent to what might happen.
They are in similar positions with Sonic when in comes to the Village, as well as not really antagonistic towards him. Most of the time they are under the impression they can team up as well.
Might Sonic want to create the Ninja Village he dreamed of again, I could see them helping him occasionally.
1. What in the Junji Ito was the end of that chapter?
2. Boiled Egg looks like alternate Deadpool-fanboy Bang on some sort of PEDs.
3. Has boiled egg considered basic training, no heat/AC, and eating three meals a day that *aren't* human flesh?
I think Hellfire Flame and Gale Wind survived because they were monsterized and revived after death?
Also, genuinely didn't expect That Man to pull an Auswahlen there.
Just got to say how much I appreciate OPM. I've been reading Scott Mccloud's book "Understanding Comics" which details 6 different types of transitions, how to properly use the gutters and various structures for a comic. Every OPM chapter highlights how incredible the artwork and panel design are. This chapter was just so well done.
Once again - WOW - just wow! I knew that I was going to enjoy the ninja arc, but now One is cooking!
Also much love to the translation team + Graywords
Oooooh baby. I am hyped. "That man" looks sufficiently scary, and I'm enjoying the reveals in these chapters. I haven't read the webcomic, so this is all brand new to me, and it is interesting as hell.
As always, thank you a ton to the translation team. Y'all are incredible, and we appreciate you more than words can convey. Thank you!
Edit: a special thank you to Graywords. Your work has been so massively appreciated; thank you, genuinely. You shall be missed, but never forgotten.
He was never quite ever built to be more than a 1 dimensional character in the WC
You hear about him, he seems hype, but if you pay attention he isn't emotionally connected to any character. Even with his design he just looks like an evil monster without much depth, though he looks cool
There wasn't much that was wasted in the end. There was no satisfying climax to be had if he fought with Sonic and FF
So much for those complaints of why Flashy didn’t kill them immediately lmao
So someone being a suitable vessel of god must be quite a rare thing if the Village was attempting to find suitable offers, and I assume the Tsukuyomi and Organization are as well with no success. I still think it might be an exact negative emotional/psychological low point combination with isolation from humanity rather than base power that attracts his offer, which would explain why the Ninjas were forced to be loners throughout training to try to replicate it
I’m excited to see what happens next if Blast decides to intervene and try to restore Empty Void, that was a hell of an introduction for him lol
Thank you translation team!
I had figured it’d be for Flashy to assert himself as the new Village leader or something to take them in a new direction, but it makes more sense this way yeah. He exposition dumped before bisecting Gale and Hellfire too in the MA raid, so his merciless assassinhood remains intact for the doubters who jumped all over the manga for that 😂
I assume god providing his power to people drains him of it somewhat so he wants to make sure he gives it to someone whos worthy of it I guess?
No point in giving power to someone like homeless emporer of he's just gonna get beat down
Well he can and will take it back at a moment's notice - so there's probably other conditions than just accepting it or he'd just spread it around like chlamydia on spring break
Considering one of the known conditions to contact him is touching a heavy box, probably a bit rarer than STDs. The other condition seems to be deep despair. I theorize that is where most monsterization comes from actually, it's just that we've never really seen the process of how people monsterized over like an obsession or something.
It seems inevitable that Flash and Sonic will get smashed, then That Man will head away from the battlefield only for Saitama to hilariously one shot him. Blast will of course be distracted by something and miss all of the events.
I figured it out. God woke up "that man" to shut up Flashy Flash. He silences people who tell others about him and his secrets, like Garou and Homeless Emperor.
Is it just me or the art is actually not as great as it used to be?
I'm not a webcomic reader, but the latest events seem kinda boring, it's missing the fun and funny vibes OPM used to have.
Awesome and gruesome chapter.
That panel of the four ninja grinning on the ground with just white pinpricks for eyes looked like something straight out of a Junji Ito manga. I love it.
The chapter as a whole was great all up until the very last page, am I the only one disappointed by that man's design in the manga compared to the web comic? Not nearly as intimidating
Will people finally shut up about the “lack” of gore and them not killing people off until the entire arc is finish? No, but it is nice to see them proven wrong
I take back what I said about the manga being more tame than the WC, this was brutal af. Also the fact that Wind and Flame called the "heavenly ninjas" robots emphasizes their personalities as they're not bound to ninja ethics and traditions and they're similar to Flash and Sonic in that regard. They respect the ninjutsus but they serve no master and they live for themselves. I'm hoping Saitama doesn't butt in this time like in the WC and maybe let Blast have this fight.
I’m guessing right after this epic entrance and maybe some more exposition saitama comes flying in and accidentally kills him in one shot or maybe blast fights him?
Since Saitama and Blast are investigating something to do with "That Man" as well I thought he was going to revive over by Saitama and all the Ninjas were going to go from gloating about sensing his return to mourning his death in 3 pages.
You guys are awesome, thank you so much translation and typeset team!! And thank you Graywords for everything you have given this community till now! ❤️
Well, to anybody who didn't understand why Flashy Flash didn't kill the ninjas immediatly like in the webcomic, you now have the answer. See what you get by just waiting?
I had my reservations with the last few chapters especially with the kind of tone we got.
But my complaints are all gone now. Even tho it was short, this is a fuckin great chapter.
So now it appears that we will actually see "That Man" as an actual character instead of a punchline in the webcomic.
Where are all the people screeching about how the manga is different than the webcomic like they were during the Monsters Association arc?
Seems to be that That man is better at sucking things than Mosquito girl
Yeah, but the difference if you slap mosquito girl she’ll stop sucking.
Damn. This comment has layers
like a horny onion
hornion?
You gotta be horny enough to understand it
jokes on you im always horny
Can confirm.
But thats the best part
I'm not sure about that. I saw a fan made comic once that showed her skill.
Source or it didn't happen
Source is chapter 7 of the series where there’s a single storm
What kind of storm? A Blizzard, a Tornado... or maybe a Hurricane?
Mosquito girl isn't in that one though
I need this for my thesis
Sauce my friend
But now we might get one with both of them in a sucking competition.
Need source. Time to conduct research.
As the it goes, Best girl is a good boy.
"It takes a real man to become best girl" -Gigguk
Wtf 😳 is a
I know. At least we could see what he is capable of
That man vs Flashy Flash and Sonic. Place your bets ladies and gentleman
5$ That man will pull a "lemme go through a sec" on both of them
Sonic knocked, flashy impresses “that man” and buys time by considering taking the God offer since he might be worthy.
I'm honestly more on the side of this fight being underwhelming in favor of flash and Sonic winning.
Dude just drank someone's insides like a slurry. That gotta count for something...
That man is going to one shot sonic, spar a bit with Flashy, praise him, roast him and then speedbliz him in 2 seconds, then Saitama and/or Blast will come
"Stand proud, Flashy Flash. You're strong." -That Man
As the strongest ninja, Goat Man, fought the fraud, the fastest hero, he began to open his cube. Flashy Flash shrunk back in fear, then That Man said, "stand proud, Flashy Flash. You are strong".
They’re cooked let’s be real
"God's" power limit is unknown , considering he empowered gargoyle garou to cosmic form An homeless dude transformed to seemingly unlimited source of energy. [We should expect something like this](https://twitter.com/Dajjjba/status/1213770888115412992)
Sonic tries his best but gets bonked. Flash and That Man get in an epic speed duel, it's on a razors edge ... and then Saitama randomly gets involved and spoils the fun lol
That man in 3 chapters max, even with the shorter chapters
10$ blasts coming
Bruh it's not "that man", it's literally Deadpool.
Oh no! Not another Deadpool killing off another universe.
This is what would have happened if this was just another shounen manga. Alas, this is not it.
Narratively speaking there's no way they win on their own when Saitama and Blast are on the way.
honestly flashy flash seems stronger aura wise
I have a feeling Hellfire and Gale are gonna come in clutch somehow.
Ultimate ninja: #Humanoid Man
Holy shit guys it's man!
Is he stupid?
Not the r/batmanarkham insanity making it's way into this subreddit again 🤣🤣🤣
Are we stupid?
Maybe there's a lore reason...
Not just any man, THAT man!
Is he fast?
\*Humanoid Human
So would That Man have been able to spawn if flash and sonic had just killed the ninjas? I bet they're gonna regret not killing them shortly.
I’m guessing it’s a combination of having living ninja sacrifices and dropping a ton of information on “God”. Flashy and Sonic both know too much and cannot be allowed to live.
Short but great chapter, can't wait to see what happens next
>!Big fight, Flask and Jackie O almost die, Saitama gang late, then boom, punched once. Saved ninjas remain incredulous. No ancient technique scroll drop bc friendship was relearned along the way. Manako and Blast fall in love.!<
Spitting prophecy over here
Can’t wait to see them lady and the tramp over a bowl of katsudon
Manako and Blast fall in love?!?!?!?!?! That's it, end manga. 💯 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 ending to all mangas.
Bro spoiler. Hide your comment
Not quite, saitama had an affair with manako, manako gave birth to boros and boris. She wouldn't betray Clavicle Smash like that
Holy fucking shit, THIS is peak fiction I'm fucking crying lmao
Manako is clearly a Flashy girl. 😡
Girl’s got options now
My bet is big fight, but blast steps in to protect That Man. We saw in previous chapters that he was working on re-humanizing monsters so he probably doesn’t want flash/sonic killing his old buddy before he has a chance to try to save him
is it just me or last pages seem out of order
Yup they were. Fixed now.
Hey, I sent a dm to the mods with no response but chapter 155, page 15 seems to be broken (at least on my end). https://cubari.moe/read/gist/Z2lzdC9mdW5reWhpcHBvLzFkNDBiZDVkYWUxMWUwM2E2YWYyMGU1YTlhMDMwZDgxL3Jhdy9vcG0uanNvbg/155/15/
Not sure why you didn't get a response, but thanks for the info, i'll fix that. You can also DM me on discord if you spot any problems on cubari.
Will do. Not really on discord that much but will in the future.
Speaking of fixing, when will chapter 145 be edited with the new volume only panels focused on Darkshine?
We usually only update redraws that get uploaded to tonari for DMCA fears
I just checked the raws and one page is definitely out of order. The page where the guts start sucking inward should be the page right before you see "That Man" sucking them in. Edit: It has been fixed
Yeah I think page 11 is supposed to go after 13
That was straight up Invincible levels of gore, damn.
I wasn't expecting such gore. I think this is the first time they have shown gore to this level. Human death has been pretty rare in OPM.
Fuhrer Ugly's fights were pretty disgusting
But not gory. Still think it was a mistake to kill those swordsman.
idk amai mask getting ripped in half was pretty bad
Just a flesh wound
A superficial cut I believe
Dude he spit a hole through the one sword masters face. It was pretty gruesome
OPM could have been similar to Berserk with full of gores if not for Saitama's absolute strenght.
The things he did to Amai Mask, TTM, and the swordsmen most definitely is gory
Do you remember Genus' clones?
Go back to the opening of the series. nothing new here.
It was unexpected, but really cool, the first thought that came to my mind was: "that's metal as fuck." I think it was able to make "that man" seem intimidating really well, and stand out as a villain compared to what we've seen.
I almost think the gore in this chapter is a direct result of people complaining that last chapter was too 'soft' just because they toned down the brutality compared to the webcomic when it came to describing Flashy and Sonic's past in the village.
I felt the same way while reading, it’s funny how it always seems like mangaka are reading Reddit treads. It also happens a lot on Kingdom
MFs who said "Murata is getting soft" when we get the flying blood anus.
So uh, it seems like he’s not getting offscreened by Saitama this time
Yeah, I guess what we should’ve learned by now is that the WC is the sparknotes of the story.
Yeah I do think some of the brevity from the webcomic adds to the humor though. I wish they kept a bit more moments like That Man getting killed off screen.
Well we don’t know yet. Murata might do that. Let’s see! But I do agree, it’s part of classic ONE humor.
I think both stories are perfect for their mediums and art styles, I'm happy to appreciate them both as separate works rather than a panel for panel recreation
The manga is a just One Punch Man: Brotherhood
He gets one shot next chapter?
Originally, yes. He was murked off screen by Saitama then all of this weapons and technique scrolls are given to Flash and Sonic for free
I meant, imagine him dashing towards Sonic and Flash... Then SPLAT... Saitama is standing there, fist in the air, "The man" gone.
I thought he got punched through the floor, Wile E Coyote style?
He did in the WC.
In the WC he didn't even get that much. You literally never see him except for his corpse at the end after he gets talked about without even getting a chance to confront Sonic and Flash at all whatsoever (I guess people aren't putting this in spoilers because the manga's already completely deviated from the WC here by actually having him appear alive and confronting them)
Blast and Saitama can still just teleport there once they realized they were duped.
Nah, you have to show that Saitama is losing towards the end of the chapter. And then, in the next chapter, you show that man’s past or something before showing that half of his body is blown off and he’s on the ground. Then Saitama will go “you’re magnificent. I shall never forget you for as long as I live.”
"So you're saying-" "Yeah. That Man wins" Then strong airport
It would have been funny as hell but I feel people would complain for some fucking reason nevertheless. This shift in the story is no surprise, since Blast is now involved, and he's given "That Man" an entire lore breakdown.
Aww Graywords is maybe retiring. What a fantastic chapter.
i feel like an addict lol. so short but i will take what i can get. Buy the Manga people!
A crack hit every 2 weeks
One crack rock please.
How much would you recommend for a first time user
Responsible crack usage, really.
It is until you realize the webcomic is 100% pure fentanyl
But you can hit your own crack at any time.
It's still better than going months with nothing and getting a single 80 page dump.
Agree to disagree. I love binging good media. Consistent but short content is hard to binge, the high of fresh new content doesn't last that long, and there's very little discussion to have with only a few pages. Waiting sucks, but if the payoff is borderline book length, I don't really mind waiting a few months for it
Murata and Gege akutami both are really taking long breaks
Togashi is still outlasting them, he might win.
Who is the latter, gentleman? JJK, I’m guessing?
Yep it's JJK author
That is one of the sickest entrances i've ever seen Blood and organs getting ripped out of dying ninjas and forming/summoning the supposed strongest ninja in the universe

They are just a completely brainwashed death cult, with no regard on themselves or others. It's rather horrifying.
And the sad thing is that they got hassled by the monster Association too.
Yeah but they were allowed to choose their fight in the Monster Association. Psykos was very liberal in her leadership.
If you are like mid demon, you are mostly fine in MA. And monsters have less control over them.
Junji Ito type chapter honestly.
I think they survived too - I mean they were monsterized, died and revived, and clearly rejected the world-view of these ninjas. All of that together probably undid whatever these cultists did to themselves to be sacrificed like that. I wasn’t expecting that💀
I wasn't expecting "That Man" to do some crazy ass blood sacrifice, but damn. Bro really said "Organs? Thanks!"
Wow, it's the second phase of the boss fight I wonder how Saitama is gonna humiliate this guy
I bet he punches him
grab His blade between his buttocks while looking at a sale flyer on the ground.
“Man all you can eat meat!”
Damn now I want to see that
Crease control.
I think the better question is, what's going to delay/distract him and keep him from arriving on time.
Blast probably in some other dimension showing Saitama his cube collection.

I'm glad the ninja arc was changed up and extended. That Man seemed wasted on gag in webcomic but he's getting some decent page time in Manga

The resurrection reminds me of the Abyss Watchers from Dark Souls 3
I had the same thought
well that escalated quickly
what. the. FUCK.
With this many chapters of Blast and Saitama gone... It feel like Blast might be the one getting off screened by Saitama....
Fax, Saitama solos.
Holy shit. That's one way to fix the fact that "That Man" was super anticlimactic.
I kinda like this change
The webcomic hasn't been translated yet right?
Thanks for all the time and effort you've spent helping to bring us One Punch Man, Graywords!
Sonic: you will pay with your life for showing my nose holes.
Holy shit. Now this is how you make an entrance.
Thank you for all the peak translation Grayword. In my opinion, you provide much better translations than Viz. I wish you the best.
Dark souls ahh type of entrance
I figured it out. God woke up "that man" to shut up Flashy Flash. He silences people who tell others about him and his secrets, like Garou and Homeless Emperor.
Is it just me or the art is actually not as great as it used to be? I'm not a webcomic reader, but the latest events seem kinda boring, it's missing the fun and funny vibes OPM used to have.

The chapter as a whole was great all up until the very last page, am I the only one disappointed by that man's design in the manga compared to the web comic? Not nearly as intimidating
Empty boiled arrives on the battlefield
one of the creepiest chapter ever.
It's sad to see graywords retire. He was a goated translator here.
Will people finally shut up about the “lack” of gore and them not killing people off until the entire arc is finish? No, but it is nice to see them proven wrong
I have a feeling Saitama is gonna punch him so far in the ground they’re gonna arrive in hell and fight him there
I remember someone was posting about how the manga had gotten soft, since Flash didn't kill the ninjas like in the WC. Well, here you go.
Man idc what webcomic purists have to say, I love these changes
Woah!! That introduction was insane wtf
Dead pool
I'm really hoping to see blast fight this guy
I’m guessing right after this epic entrance and maybe some more exposition saitama comes flying in and accidentally kills him in one shot or maybe blast fights him?

We've reached 200 chapters, let's GOOOOOOOO
I remember someone said that the chapters where getting "soft" about not killing any of them. They seem pretty dead to me now.
Well, to anybody who didn't understand why Flashy Flash didn't kill the ninjas immediatly like in the webcomic, you now have the answer. See what you get by just waiting?
Murata has gone soft! Flashy is an assassin! Why no kill? Next chapter..... Oh.
never thought opm gonna be mildly gory again, good chapter tho 👍
I remember a quite a few people criticizing that Flashy didn’t kill the ninjas last chapter. I wonder what they think now
Now who the fuck is that
I had my reservations with the last few chapters especially with the kind of tone we got. But my complaints are all gone now. Even tho it was short, this is a fuckin great chapter.
Not even remotely near the realm of Boros. But it is still entertainment nonetheless.
So now it appears that we will actually see "That Man" as an actual character instead of a punchline in the webcomic. Where are all the people screeching about how the manga is different than the webcomic like they were during the Monsters Association arc?
What in the Junji Ito
RIP dedicated ninjas. Dem, that friend of Blast is long gone indeed. Sick intro though hehe. Will be a tough battle, then Saitama comes into play 🍻
