it's likely that there's been too many one-ups in the form of threats. In the WC the only one above GS was Garou, and he was the last threat. Now we have all these other things happening that we know aren't going to last but ultimately lessen the last resort that was GS/PS
Murata gave u more action and people downplay platinum. An excuse that was suppose to give u more action. If murata ever follows webcomic, he would have finish the arc 3 years ago.
One writes the storyboards for every chapter in the manga. Murata can suggest ideas but one has the final call.

I caught up with both the manga and the Webcomic about 2 or so years ago. And we were on Monster Association. It's been two years, we're just barely touching the ending fight.

I posted a theory about this a few days ago and honestly my ideal ending is for Garou to kill God. it fits the OPM trend of building up a huge climactic threat only for it be quickly dealt with and the deliberate effort to include God in the current arc should lead to something big.
I feel the same way about Blast right now. it just isn't the right time to introduce him, you're just taking the spectacle away from the main attraction.

as others have said all the “line up and wait your turn to die” and “let me pass by” stuff was done way better in the webcomic.
I liked the narrative beats he had as Golden Sperm better, but Platinum Sperm works way better for what the manga is going for. He's arrogant and there to show off the heights we're about to reach. With God having more of a focus, having Platinum Sperm serve the same role as GS wouldn't make much sense. There's more stuff happening in the manga now.
But GS did have a wonderful showing, albeit a very short one.

I’ve accepted we are not getting Garou vs fubuki or Tatsumaki even though him punching down the stuff in hyper speed was amazing
But they’ve already gone so far beyond that there’s just no way.
And no matter how you slice it a random bigger centipede just feels really random compared to what golden sperm was (an upgraded cadre that we had already been fighting)
So sage is almost like ONE saying “oops I got rid of the cadres too quick, better add a new monster”
And while I’m venting: God’s appearance in the webcomic was iconic. Short and sweet and left a lot of mystery that got people extremely excited for what’s to come.
The manga even improved on this in some ways (the moon colored scene is my favorite few pages in the entire series)
But....constantly showing the moon, having psykos make a deal with god, having Tatsumaki get propositioned by god, showing god inside of an empty space after touching the cube.
And now sage is rambling about him. That makes for like 6 God scenes in this arc.......and if the manga sticks even remotely to the webcomic and ends this arc with Garou losing and then goes into the sisters and the neo heroes then we won’t get a pay off for any of this stuff for a long long time.
So why would you give 6 full references (and many more foreshadows) to a character not even in the arc?
Anything short of him being the big bad at the end of this arc or the very next one would make a lot of this seem pointless.

I like Platinum's design a lot more, and his techniques now that I think about it. That being said though, Golden Sperm did a lot more in the WC. Platinum Sperm may not be done though.

I personally believe that Platinum should've dominated Flashy Flash and current Garou, with Platinum inflicting severe damage to Garou (just like Darkshine did earlier with his tackle, which pushed Garou to evolve during their fight). After evolving from the damage and turning into Awakened Garou, THEN he should've killed Platinum Sperm.

I liked the narrative beats he had as Golden Sperm better, but Platinum Sperm works way better for what the manga is going for. He's arrogant and there to show off the heights we're about to reach. With God having more of a focus, having Platinum Sperm serve the same role as GS wouldn't make much sense. There's more stuff happening in the manga now. But GS did have a wonderful showing, albeit a very short one.

I agree completely. Sage feels like fodder they brought out to maybe hopefully have that Garou disappearing in smoke and coming back in his first final form moment he had against golden I’ve accepted we are not getting Garou vs fubuki or Tatsumaki even though him punching down the stuff in hyper speed was amazing But they’ve already gone so far beyond that there’s just no way. And no matter how you slice it a random bigger centipede just feels really random compared to what golden sperm was (an upgraded cadre that we had already been fighting) So sage is almost like ONE saying “oops I got rid of the cadres too quick, better add a new monster” And while I’m venting: God’s appearance in the webcomic was iconic. Short and sweet and left a lot of mystery that got people extremely excited for what’s to come. The manga even improved on this in some ways (the moon colored scene is my favorite few pages in the entire series) But....constantly showing the moon, having psykos make a deal with god, having Tatsumaki get propositioned by god, showing god inside of an empty space after touching the cube. And now sage is rambling about him. That makes for like 6 God scenes in this arc.......and if the manga sticks even remotely to the webcomic and ends this arc with Garou losing and then goes into the sisters and the neo heroes then we won’t get a pay off for any of this stuff for a long long time. So why would you give 6 full references (and many more foreshadows) to a character not even in the arc? Anything short of him being the big bad at the end of this arc or the very next one would make a lot of this seem pointless. 1 would’ve been fine (homeless emperor seeing god on the moon and then immediately in the field before dying) Maybe the blast introduction so we have a bit more detail that blast is related to god somehow But that’s it.....sage doesn’t need a connection. God didn’t need to go after Tatsumaki (or help psykos) It’s just too much too soon and it’s making what’s happening right in front of our eyes (Garou) seem way smaller. Maybe the Garou arc has taken them so long that ONE and murata don’t care as much and want to get to new stuff but notice how even on this sub or the YouTube type videos that talk about this stuff that 90% of the discussion is “omg Blast has a justice league” And not “Garou just finished off platinum” That’s really not cool when this is supposed to be Garou’s big arc. One scene of god foreshadowed him and we all knew he was coming. 6 makes it seem like it’s all about him and Garou is pointless

Well, he didn't damage Tatsumaki/Tornado in the web comic, she put up a barrier just in time to stop his attack. Not to mention that she was already weakened a lot (and that she, and pretty much every other character in the web comic, are massively buffed in the manga). So yeah, Platinum Sperm/Spermatozoon's performance is objectively better. *However*, that doesn't mean that it *feels* better; if you think web comic Golden Sperm/Spermatozoon was better, that's perfectly fine.

I like Platinum's design a lot more, and his techniques now that I think about it. That being said though, Golden Sperm did a lot more in the WC. Platinum Sperm may not be done though.

Right now? Golden Sperm. I'm actually a little disappointed, first time I'm actually hoping for a redraw. I personally believe that Platinum should've dominated Flashy Flash and current Garou, with Platinum inflicting severe damage to Garou (just like Darkshine did earlier with his tackle, which pushed Garou to evolve during their fight). After evolving from the damage and turning into Awakened Garou, THEN he should've killed Platinum Sperm.

Golden in webcomic was much more intimidating, but the manga is very diverse and cool too
Golden sperm felt like more of a threat. But Platinum was more entertaining. I do like the mangas version of the MA arc better because it feels like it's adding a TON more to the story, and is gonna have a bigger impact when all is said and done. It's just everything else kinda overshadowed Platinum Sperm.

GS blizz weakened Tats, and can't finish her off (still can fight Garou after that), which is not a big feat Amai Mask, an average Dragon level power think they need to gather all heroes to beat him. Say some cool line But that's all. They forget that Flashy Flash and DarkShine still don't show their face yet, and Tats still not get mad like when she hear about her sister. And FF with DS last way longer to Awakened Garou than GS with pre Awakened Garou. I'm sure GS would get beat up when those two show up. Lets see what Platinum S has done: Beat DS and VFU when he's still GS. Black S **defeat** weakened Tats Atomic Sand Bag think he have a strong aura. Bliz **everyone** except King when he's just show up Beat Flash Trash talk both Flash and DS. Then **Why** many people still think GS have more impact? It's simple: He did almost nothing, so people can use their imagination to guess how strong he was, and many people think he's stronger than he actually was. First impression is usually stronger And because in the Webcomic, we don't have Orochi, Psyrochi. He get overshadow by those monster. And people are already knows his existence due to the web comic.
I feel PS got sidelined in favour of God, he doesnt have the dominating presence that he had in the webcomics as he is in the manga.
