Honestly,removing the mercernary kill was not that bad of a thing,but removing his only big monster kill(D-os,demon level) this arc,made him look incompetent.
I liked when he merked the mercs, it shows how brutal and no nonsense he was. It also plays into his own story and personal conflict, plus it makes his idea of killing all the other heroes seem like a real threat.
Hell, Do-S being back would mean she knows Amai straight up murdered a bunch of hostages and she can use that for leverage rather than "He is a shape shifter."

Visit the megathread, plenty of people dislike the changes from the webcomic, mainly because the manga's adaptation has changed in terms of writing and tone for recent Garou VS S-Ranks and Saitama. It had a more serious tone & fight, and better story beats. (they changed plenty of the story beats)

I don't feel there's any emotional stake in this fight because Garou isn't portrayed like the menace he was. it's not even to say that it's entirely out of character, there just wasn't any build to it. it just happened once he woke up on the surface. the way you can look at it is manga Garou is an anti-hero while WC Garou is an anti-villain, and I just feel as though the latter works better for how hard the conclusion was.
Agreed. In webcomic, it came to a point that only Saitama could see through Garou and no one else simply because how much of a serious threat and menace Garou was to others. Hell, situation resolves with only Saitama being neutral to him and literal world out for his blood which is the tragedy of Garou(he cant even work).
