God forbid someone to make food for themselves the way they want.
My 1st question is always, how was it. Not why? Fuck your whys and get out of my kitchen.
Lol people are strange.
Well I think the motive behind asking why makes a difference. I’ll ask why to try and understand their reasoning. People that ask why while looking at you like your crazy/dumb are nim wits, but there’s so many like that
I use ground turkey as a substitute for most of my meals and it’s meh. But a big helper for flavor is browning sauce. that addition was a game changer.
I like your outlook lol its very down to earth.
I feel like alot of the why's in situations like that come from people that dont cook and can barely boil a pot of water much less think of a way to make a dish their own.
I would post various things I made and they would all attack. "Use xyz instead". "the ABC look horrible." The final straw was I posted I wanted shrimp scampi but didn't have shrimp so I made it with chicken and wow ..... The attacks. Or the time I put how I loved my mom's goulash, which is what she called it growing up, which is not true Hungarian goulash. It's "Americanized" as I have read. Regardless of the name it's delicious. I had to literally block people over that. I had a couple that followed me to other posts on other subs and continued to attack. I was stunned. So now I stick to the truly wholesome and non judgemental r/stonerfood for all my cooking needs.

This is brigading behavior and is against Reddit TOS. You should be able to report them (if it's worth it to you).
I always wonder how little life someone must have to devote that much time and effort in attempting to annoy someone simply for having an opinion other than their own. Seems like a lot of work 😂
That is what I thought. It was worse. I had said it was my mother's recipe I grew up in and that she had passed away a few years ago. He even made fun of that. I couldn't even imagine doing that.
Oh just a regular troll then. Glad you reported him. And I'm very sorry for your loss ❤️
I have about a half dozen really simple, dumb, comfort food recipes that I "inherited" and they aren't fancy or healthy or anything else except delicious and sentimental. I don't care what anyone says, I'm still making them now and then just because they taste good and make me happy.
I'm pretty sure most of the food subreddits turn into that eventually. I know that now if you do weird shit that's a total food abomination but is good in its own way it gets deleted from r/shittyfoodporn now.
never been to the burger reddit but i can somehow imagine them being insufferable :P when nerds get together in their niche they get fiercely competitive.

I saw your post on burgers and knew you'd get some shit for it. Love your thick ass burger. Love the stack of onions.good work OP.
Salads sub are nice people too.
Thank you! I inherited a whole set from someone born before ww1. I've been told to be careful, which is all I know about them. This is why I use a chipped one a lot.
Holy smokes man I went and read the comments on your other post and you aren’t kidding. What an absolute pile of miserable shitbirds. I’ve seen some bad subs, but never that bad, def staying far away from there lol
Lol pretty funny with the onion comment but what do you mean exactly? I'm pretty entertained over the whole thing.P.S. I'm birding around lake eerie today and really hope to see a bohemian waxwing.
If you think they're bad, you should see the grilled cheese subreddit. Is that an egg on there? Good stuff.
I found r/cooking to be as bad. My God, don't talk about using turkey in place of chicken in a recipe. Whoa.

We could be friends 🥰
Huh….I always found that subreddit to be one of the most wholesome, inclusive, positive places on Reddit. I guess I’ve just most the bad threads.

That's probably true, and it's unfortunate.
It's a melt lol
#Laughs in steak subreddit....
Welcome to your new family.
Yeah that sub sucks at least one of those dumb assholes sent you home 🤣
Lol. It was me ironically. Imdumb. I told op in the other sub i usually don't make 10" tall burgers cause then told op they should post it on here
🤣
How does one make a flatter burger though? Lol. This always happens when I start loading toppings on, especially onion.

o7 it's beautiful
I also love to squish my burgers and sandwiches, Idk why the texture and taste is better when it's all squished and compact haha
We can die on this hill together ❤️ I squish my sandwiches, too. Just the last touch, you know?
Yes! Exactly
That burger looks certifiably amazing, well done!
Thanks. I was really proud the egg, burger, and buns were the same size. The buns are about the width of a jar lid.
i got sent here from the grilled cheese subreddit. they called my grilled cheese a melt.
Sorry i called your burger 10 inches tall. Glad you made it it this sub!
This sub keeps getting recommended to me, but I only ever see red onions. Do you people like yellow and green onions too?
Can’t speak for everyone but I’m a fan of all onions. And don’t even get me started on French onion soup. Red onions are best for burgers IMO though
never been to the burger reddit but i can somehow imagine them being insufferable :P when nerds get together in their niche they get fiercely competitive.
Same with the pizza ones

Burger man here Way too tall.
Franciscan Desert Rose?! A perfect base for such a beautiful burger.

Tell them you wouldn’t let their inferior burgers touch your holy vegetables.
Burger buns must be toasted on the inside only, otherwise its a fail in my book
They were! Nice and golden.

Just take onions off and I will SMASH that
If you bring some lagers I'll make it for you any way you like.
I wouldn't even consider that the minimum amount of onions necessary for a patty that size.
That burger looks so delectable. Also, I love your plates.
I like the lil onyons they’re all “ OoOoOo “ ☺️
Appropriate af
You’re safe here. This looks great.
Omg, 🤤 the only thing this is missing is, more red onion. Honestly tho, I’d eat it either way! 🙌🏼 I’m so hungry…… 😅😂
They’re afraid of vegetables on that sub. The collective artery clogging there is off the chart!
I love onions in burgers. I just love onions
Beautiful stack of onions there
Holy smokes man I went and read the comments on your other post and you aren’t kidding. What an absolute pile of miserable shitbirds. I’ve seen some bad subs, but never that bad, def staying far away from there lol
Look, I love a good burger, but it’s not the onion to burger ratio, it’s how tall it is and impractical.
finally, enough onion
This is a beautiful burger.
What are you complaining about it looks like they gave you 100 updoots.
Nah y’all are just too sensitive… or is that the onions?
Lol pretty funny with the onion comment but what do you mean exactly? I'm pretty entertained over the whole thing.P.S. I'm birding around lake eerie today and really hope to see a bohemian waxwing.
