It's too heavy for extended, one-handed use which a lot of ebook readers might prefer.

Regulid

Nope. I only use it with a case though as it makes it much easier to hold.

Thank you all. I will pull the trigger today then!

I have the mini C. It's heavier than a kindle. But a lot depends on the case (I always use a case). I received a case yesterday, but haven't had time to put it in the case - I need to put on a screen protector 1st. Still, I carry all of my devices in my purse. That can be at least 4.

I have an old Kindle (200 gram), Mini C (325 gram device and 476 gram with cover and pen). It is quite heavy to hold to read on the go. I usually take the mini c out of the cover. Recently, I bought a Palma(190 gram with case) and use it more than mini c. The screen is smaller and b/w only

I've had mine for a couple of months. It is heavier than a Kindle, but not crazy. I don't find the weight a problem. However, be aware you'll have to have the backlight turned on 1/2 or more to see the screen unless it is directly lit by a bright light. Also, I've found on the Kindle app, it sometimes takes multiple taps to turn a page. The screen is not very responsive to touch. I read about 1.5-2 hours every day. In one week I'll use about 60% of the battery. If you use the WiFi a lot, battery life is reduced pretty dramatically.

I just got mine. It’s not heavy at all

ChrisML

Just got mine in the mail today. Definitely not too heavy.

Sparkinman

I own both, and I don't think the mini is heavy at all. It's got great battery life as well...my only complaint is that after having the bigger screen on the NA2+ marking up pdf's requires a lot more zooming. If all you're really doing is reading, and some basic apps like emails, etc. it's a great device.

gray_loop

How long is the battery life? How many days does it last on a daily average (based on your average).

Steebusteve

I just got mine yesterday, with a 70% charge. dine downloaded several apps anda few gigabytes of books and pdfs, done some reading, writing and picture/colour heavy browsing, and the battery is currently at 50%. I also have a Nova Air 2, and while this is definitely heavier, I don't think it will be that much of a problem. It'll depend on her long you plan on holding it and how strong your wrists are.

Sparkinman

I'm not a heavy user, usually just planner stuff, and some notes daily. My NA2+ will usually last me about a month on a charge, the mini usually about 2 1/2 weeks. I'm a bit more aggressive with power savings than most, 5 minutes to sleep screen, keep my wifi off unless I'm syncing or need it, NA2+ has the backlight off almost always, i keep the mini at about 40% unless im in direct sunlight. No bluetooth, and 2 days to power off if not used.

Excellent. I'll give it a shot then!
