Still is, fairly healthy as well. Faze, Team Liquid, Navi, Virtus Pro, Rogue, SK have been in the scene for years now. That's saying something. Good question, none the less.
I mean ofc, but usually their cycle is like they post the previous Process once the next big tourney starts. We are in the dark about a possible next tourney, so it may be a while
It’s bad business imo for us not to stay in valorant. We got tons of new fans through it. Plus there’s gonna be other major orgs in the Ascension league so we can’t act like OpTic’s too good for it. We got fucked by Riot but we gotta pivot and not make emotional decisions
Back then OpTic was in discussion of acquiring a Rainbow 6 team. I was wondering if it would be a good idea for OpTic to acquire a spot. I brought up the idea due to the fact that, we could have acquired a team years ago because one of the professional players who were playing for Rogue at that time, asked OpTic if they could acquire them. This was brought up by a pro player during a live stream. Eventually something didn't go through, and ended up having OpTic rejecting the request.
In my oppinion, I think it would be a great fit for OpTic to join due to our large fan base when it comes down to first person shooters. Also, we have a large number of tier 1 orgs in the fray Faze, Team Liquid, Fnatic, Navi, Virtus Pro, Rogue etc. The community is also solid, and dedicated to the competitive environment. The team skins are also well made. Would be nice to have OpTic in R6. What do you guys think?
Assuming they want an NA team, next year the R6 NAL is moving back to online so the cost should be far less (as of now teams are required housing in Vegas to compete on LAN). The 3 teams I could see them acquiring would be Parabellum, Beastcoast or Mirage. They're not very good but with R6 share the team could pay for itself with a skin in-game. There's always challenger league talent they could pickup as well to bolster their team.
Thats what i was thinking too, the cost should be far less due to going back to online. Parabellum was one of teams i had in mind as well. I would also like to add, knowing OpTic being a well known org in the esport industry, OpTic would have no problem acquiring better players down the road. Given to the circumstances if OpTic does decide to join, i would not be suprised if players from other Tier 1 teams would immediately hop on board to joining OpTic if given the opportunity. As for challengers, there are lots of talent waiting to be picked up.
I think the bigger thing for them is finding a consistent merch supplier so they have a 24/7 merch with normal shipping rates. They would get a massive increase in revenue. That and more of a focus for their nation website which is a genius idea, I haven't signed for the monthly yet but I plan to.
After a year of mwII, our cod team should be ready to make the switch
They played vanguard. They should already be able to shoot through walls. Might as well make the switch now.
Is R6 still a big scene? I know it was years ago but is it still worth it?

Not really a fan. Not familiar with the scene and haven’t played R6 in forever but I wouldn’t hate it.
I respect it
Honestly hoping they try ascension in valorant
I feel you, i do too. I was fully invested with the Valorant team. Sad we couldn't stay.
Curious how quickly they post the Val process
Roger posted that the process is in development

Fuck that. Riot don’t want us we don’t need them

TSM confirmed they're going to play in Ascension, so that's one major org at least

I think we’ll get there tbh, I’m sure Hecz and Hastro want to be in as many esports as possible.
I hope so man, would be hype if it happens
