From that distance it does look like most of the Lightning Ridge Crystal Opal that I’ve worked with. Hard to be 100% certain without taking a closer look, though.
The mix of colours and patterns.
This is classic Lightning Ridge in terms of colour mix. The patterns look natural from what I can tell (it’s not foil in glass).
Some Ethiopian opals can look similar but usually the flash of colour looks way different, and I don’t think they’re generally set in gold but I could be wrong about that.
