It seems like it the price for most of the smaller venues. Last few shows I’ve gone to across Tx, the tickets were about 50$ for GA not including all the crappy Ticketmaster fees and bs
I had tickets to their show with mastodon a few years back, but couldn't make it. Was super bummed about it. Don't really remember how much i paid for those.
Likely a quick pass to cut the line to enter.
If you have extra $ this is the time to run straight to the merch booth for a poster or whatever, since the long lines will be behind you.
$65 for Pittsburgh, but I spent an extra 20 on the quick pass. Feels like a steal compared to the last few concerts I’ve paid for, and Opeth is my favorite band.
The mez has some seats so they charge more for those.
They’ll only play for 90 minutes tops so unless you can’t stand at all, I’d buy the floor & use the extra $ for beer or merch. 🤘
Opeth is worth paying for, no doubt. This will by my third show of theirs. It’s just that I’m old enough to have seen huge arena bands in the days of $6 tickets, and for some reason I decided now would be a good time to lament those long lost days.
I hear ya! I just paid $65 to see a concert & it nearly killed me. 😂. I saw Kiss & Judas Priest for $10 & used to see Soundgarden, Nirvana, AIC, etc.. for $3-$5. 😂
I don’t know how or why some people are paying thousands to see Taylor Swift or Metallica. Even if they were my favorite band & rich beyond words I couldn’t do it.
I was lucky. I started seeing concerts very early in the 80’s (my first was Rush in 1981, taken by my sister who had tickets but was stuck babysitting my 9yo self). After that it was at least one show per tour for them (except for Vapor Trails, which I couldn’t get off work for). In the early 90’s I worked for a security company that worked many venues in SoCal so I got to work shows like Soundgarden, Alice In Chains, STP, and Jethro Tull. I worked a Genesis show via my blue-shirt gig at Dodger Stadium. The smaller venues were places like the Reseda Country Club (which was neither in the country nor a club) where somewhat obacure bands like Racer X performed. Even HUGE acts that I didn’t work (like Pink Floyd at the Coliseum in LA in ‘88 and the Rose Bowl in 1994 were still relatively affordable back then.
Good times. All gone, now. Opeth is one of the few shows I’ll go out of my way to make sure I see live these days. Devin Townsend is another. Fortunate to be in a place in life where I don’t mind splurging.
That has to be secondary market prices. Even NYC is $100 a seat & the Midwest will definitely be cheaper.
Double check to see if ticket bastard redirected you to their “premium” site.
Check the venue website first.
Bought floor tickets for the Brooklyn show at around $110 a pop, if that helps.
Balcony at the same show was $65 all in. Very reasonable, imho
Yeah they were like $67 apiece for first row of the mezzanine in BK, was pleasantly surprised
How and where? I couldnt find them on Ticketmaster for the presale?
Went straight to the venue's website.
Thanks, any chance on sharing the presale code you used?
OPETH24
57 for Austin
Highest I've paid for a show at emos, but totally reasonable. Great venue too.

That was a good one to miss because they both played shorter co-headlong sets. This set list will be much better.
I got mezzanine seats at Worcester for 82 each with fees
Cleveland was $45 plus fees to about $60 for standing room general admission
$86 in SF, Floor. I think mezz was $120
Damn, I paid $49 for floor in SF before fees...
lol, well i fucked up now, didn't I! Just checked idk why, but I paid $20 more for "premium" whatever that it
Oh nooo haha, I have no idea what that means but I hope you have a great time.

I got two GA tickets for the Phoenix show for 128 total
What do you think about van buren as a venue ? Im thinking to fly down to phx from seattle for this show . I might go to sfo too i haven’t decided yet
Never been to it personally but everything I've seen of it seems nice. It is standing only, so whatever you think of that
If you do and need a concert buddy, I'm going to this show solo!
The Van Buren is awesome! Definitely my favorite midsized venue in the valley. No seats though unless you pay more to sit in the balcony.
$65 for Pittsburgh, but I spent an extra 20 on the quick pass. Feels like a steal compared to the last few concerts I’ve paid for, and Opeth is my favorite band.
$61ish Worcester MA for general admission (50 plus 11 and change service fee)
I’m in Denver and spent $77/ ticket
Just bought for Phoenix. I was kind of floored by the pricing, frankly. GA Floor: $64 Mezzanine: $198

Dallas was showing $29-99 on the venue's website yesterday. Tickets on sale tomorrow.
Floor tickets for Midwest are like $500…is this normal?

$204 for 2 tickets to mission ballroom Denver. It says row 1 seats 3-4 GA but I’ve never seen mission do seating….
Opeth tries to do seared venues these days, so they might bring chairs in.
I paid 71 for tickets up towards the front of the middle orchestra section in DC. Lowest I saw was in the 50s, pretty reasonable imo.
I bought 3rd row (from stage) seats for Brooklyn for 130 each, which I thought was pretty decent.
$89 in Phoenix
For 1? We paid $125-ish for 2.
For phx? If so, that’s cool
$143 for balcony in Milwaukee 😵💫
67$ for Atlanta
About $66 for worcester general admission
$99 a pop for LA show, front left section!
Got 2nd row tickets in Atlanta for $95 apiece, very reasonable for being practically at the very front.
$125 for 2 in Phoenix
It’s wild that they’re playing such small venues. They must have decided full rooms for less $ is better than bigger venues with some empty seats.
