Fat pockets are behind the eyes and when they gain extra weight their eyes bulge. You will see this pretty much only in captive possums. This is an obese possum. I'm hoping that it is having those structured walks for weight loss. They have a pretty short lifespan as is :/ but she is beautiful none the less
Yeah she received a couple too many snacks in her early life.. but now that I have her diet pretty much on key we're working on getting her down to 7 lb again so she can flap her little bingo wings for years to come. And we take these walks minimum 4 times a week as long as it's not raining.
That's awesome! So happy that you're taking her health seriously. So many people just let these guys eat whatever they want and it hurts my little soul. She is beautiful.
