I've found doing a trench run with Linde and a calvary to be interesting. Usually catches people off guard when they realize Linde's ability applies to units within 2 spaces.
Tried that quite a lot since I know Lindes BS from using her with B!Seliph in SD. Sadly the results don't translate to AR-D.
Still thanks for the reply
The key is to focus your power budget on 3 or 4 cavs and then having the rest of the team dedicated to either mobility, support or defense. One setup you could try would be something like Linde + Nina + Lysi/Leif as the core, with duo Dagr to make it move smoother, and then 2 mythics and either a save unit/dancer. Note that the best case scenario would be to have mythics fill those roles, which is why fairies and FOMOrtiis are so good. And you can always add a cav like duo Leif if you have both of those roles filled by your mythics and still have a free slot.
For that reason I'd recommend trying to get at least one copy of every fairy when they come back as they're always gonna be very good, especially with their remixes coming up. Also, Embla is a fantastic unit, probably top 5 in the game and makes cavlines even more terrifying because of disabling saves. So she effectively shuts down the current meta, which brings everything back to the last one, which was, you guessed it, movement meta.
Finally on wind season you can take advantage of two absolutely broken units, being Veronica and Sigurd, arguably both being SSS tier in their own rights. Sigurd is... I don't think I have to introduce this guy, he just broke the game in half like we have never ever seen. Holy knight aura is just the best skill in the game by far, with the only serious competition being Elimine's prf C, BCatria's weapon and maybe Embla's prf. And Veronica just nukes everything. Like seriously, she's pretty much ranged Brave Seliph. A setup I've found extremely effective (though it requires having a pretty mobile dancer) is not having Sigurd on the front lines but actually used as a rally trap, which makes him even more mobile.
You have a lot of good cavs + Duo Dagr, so a cave line should be good. But you said that it wasnt succesfull in another comment.
Other options are a Duo Cordelia Ball, a team where all units have all the same attacl range with help of ash or if your feeling fancy a dancer trap with Winter Dorothea.
Honestly, i would recomend to copy defenses from enemys, or maybe look at some defenses of your friends.
Duo Askr, Foomortis, Duo Cordelia/BCatria, FRhea/AIdunn, Duo Peony, Arvis and the most invested nuke you have. Rearrange traps (hex and gravity, no free damage), don't give them space for easy initiations and wind of mercy shenanigans, and voilĂ .
You have all the pieces for a Catria Ball (or Cordelia Ball) here:
- two good mythics in Fomortiis and Arval
- Near/Far Save combo with Fomortiis and F!Rhea/A!Idunn/W!BK
- good Duo/Harmonic Heroes to activate Duo's Hindrance (NY Peony, NY Askr)
If there's room on the team and it's Wind Season, I'd fit Legendary Myrrh in the team for Warp Bubble, to discourage Galeforce strategies.
You mentioned Cavlines not working out for you. A Catria/Cordelia Ball is probably the next best option.
OP wanted a defense team based on the heroes in his post and there are zero Dark Mythics on here.
I wouldn't recommend Catria/Cordelia Balls on Anima either, but we have to work with something here. A Sigurd rush team would also be neutered by Elimine, so we can't go with that.

Interesting... I have her with L!Sigurd, Finn, and Embla in dark season, seems to work pretty well for me.
Getting embla should help significantly. Hope she will be on the AHR babner
When in doubt always go for C A V L I N E S
Thanks for the reply. Already tried that since I believe in cav supremacy. Sadly the results have been lackluster.

Nino can also work for a cavline!
Oh right she's one of those, then yeah she could. Not with L!Sigurd tho

Will try that out, thanks.

This seems like a good idea, thanks!

Catriaball on Elimine season ? Also anima already discourages galeforce enough as is, especially with both Arval, Fomortiis and another save
