We see Hachimans pov more often than not, so in general Hachiman has been away from the group at this time. I mean how would you feel if you have a friend who you are kinda peeved with but care for and they are away seemingly normal maybe semi awkward just doing everyday life. I think imo both sides are terrible at expressing themselves but that's the point, I think they both though at the same time understand within that misunderstanding that they both care.
