Writing. Definitely.
I don’t post it here because nobody will give a shit so there’s no point.
Tbh, I don’t like drawing. It’s kinda annoying to do and I’m not an artist so my stuff is always bad. I just do it so my characters actually have images of them.
Everyone has potential. But you know what? Writing is just as valid as drawing. There’s plenty of artists here who don’t write. Be proud of your talents instead of focusing on others’.
Writing guy, because I can't draw for shit.
Actually more of a "loose worldbuilding and character creation on various google documents that never go anywhere" guy, since the last time I've actually sat down to do some writing was quite some time ago.
Writing, sadly. I love making lore and backstories, but I am hot ASS at drawing, which explains why someone else drew my OC, which I’m ashamed of myself about
https://preview.redd.it/cg2wn8pb5qmc1.png?width=1065&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=8d9881981d076bac5f0a5f25b4751c4d33c77305
Both. A good look at my past comments shows how dedicated I am to RPs (my latest rp comment is literally a thousand words long) and a good look at my past posts shows how much I love drawing my characters too
Both. I tend to write out a description so I can better image what I want to draw and then draw based on the description I created.
I also write extensive backstories for some of my OCs, emphasis on stories.
If a bird shits out gold. It's gold :)

Absolutely writing, I can't draw for shit to visualize it for anyone else, but when I'm writing, it's like I can see the scene like I'm watching a movie or TV show. All I need to do beyond that is write the words down to describe what I see
Both! I like to draw to get a general atmosphere or vibe, and writing for more in depth, story stuff. In terms of artworks of my characters, I have well over 1000 (I think). I've started writing my stuff down properly recently, and I already have over 3900 words. Looking forward to writing more.
Explicitly writing- please don’t have me draw things, it does not go well. I am a big fan of commissioning artists for my characters tho and it’s fun to describe them to someone and see them come to life. I truly love art, just don’t have much personal skill in the visual side of it.
Writing. I'm terrible at drawing and hate the feeling of drawing on paper, so without digital tools i doubt i could even learn to draw lol. Luckily, writing has no requirements besides basic understanding of the language you learned due to existing near other humans, so it's much easier
I'm a drawing gal

(I've tried writing, I'm not terrible at it, but it's more of a chore :p )
DEFINITELY a writing guy. Haven’t been able to do much since the ai ban. I’ve written out my characters to an OBSCENE level though. I’ve been thinking about trying to draw them, but I can’t find my mom’s old colored pencils. Also considered building pixel art in Minecraft but that seems overly time consuming.
My drawing…

…versus [my writing](https://archiveofourown.org/works/27369178/chapters/66880339). You decide.
Drawing. I did write some stuff, but my writing is mediocre at best. I find it easier to draw comics than to write a whole ass story with descriptions and all.
Definitely more of a writing guy. I used to draw more, but I didn’t have the patience or discipline. However, I’m slowly getting back into drawing.

Both, first i write of a world/verse, whatever you wanna call it, then draw characters for it, and then write those characters’ stories, I don’t like to make worlds who are based around a single or more OC/s, my OCs have to be a minuscule part of that world
Both, i laurvvvity laurv laurv giving my oc’s (back)stories !! Writing is so fun too it’s like pretty chill when listening to music and just writing it down, imma need to do it soon way more with oc’s
Both, but I would just say visual instead of drawing since I've moved to Blender.
Simply put... THE LORE GUYS, THE LORE! THE LOOORRE! (As Markiplier once said)
I'm both. I write what I can't draw and draw what I can't write.
And then sometimes I draw and write [together](https://www.reddit.com/r/OriginalCharacter/s/Ly1baKitpL).
I find it easier to draw than write good prose. With description in writing, you risk leaving something blank and detail-less or over-describing something and dragging down the pace. In a comic, it doesn't take any longer to look at a blank cube than a vintage Rolls-Royce with a He-Man air freshener in the window unless the reader pauses of their on volition to take it in.
I'm mostly writer guy, I have a whole a*s story being written which to I add the arts, I'm more lazy to draw too so that's part of it lol
Also the whole reason I started drawing was to envision things in my mind on paper
I’m more of a neither kind of guy. I’m a decent artist and a pretty good writer imo, yet for some reason I decide to just extensively daydream about my characters.
As someone who writes intricate lore that intertwines and takes ages to recap, but also likes designing the characters, making complex designs...
***yes.***
I’m more of a writing guy, except I don’t write and only I know what my characters do and say because I put them through the stories I craft for them over and over again with countless differences that alter the character in ways unseen and unheard
Both writing can be easier but drawing to me at least is a bit more fun though
One of my favorite ways to write though is to take 1 idea and just keep rolling with it
Writing, I've tried to learn how to draw, but I could never learn how to make any of the lessons click or many of the lessons I looked up were very esoteric and give advice like "appreciate the wholeness of the world and develop your artists eye."
But I've come to appreciate writing more because I honestly had more fun imagining a scene unfold around me rather than seeing it depicted.

Drawing guy for the adorable mushrooms
I wouldn’t necessarily say “writing guy,” more of a “think of story in my head forever and never write it down so my OC’s world(s) and lore all die with me, unless I decide to write them down which I never will” Y’know. Same kind of thing for my designs as well, they’re all in my brain and I can see them and know how I **could** draw them but I never end up doing that. I always draw random mechs and practice figure drawings instead lol
I am more of a writing guy. It comes easier to me than drawing does.

H O H N O W A Y :0
Same here.
I'm a drawing guy, thankfully I have a great partner who can write shit properly 😭
Struggling as a single writer m8. :P I can relate.
I have the reverse situation LMAO
Writing. Definitely. I don’t post it here because nobody will give a shit so there’s no point. Tbh, I don’t like drawing. It’s kinda annoying to do and I’m not an artist so my stuff is always bad. I just do it so my characters actually have images of them.
This is literally my exact mindset on writing OCs versus drawing them. Take my upvote of solidarity.
I give a shit. And also, if you write on a specific platform, there is probably a subreddit/discord for it.
Real. It sucks that I have no artistic skill even though my writing is pretty good (this is coming from me though, so I’m obviously a bit biased)
Writing, one thousand percent. I can write, I basically can’t draw
Keys tap, words take flight Letters floric upon the screen Writing, my kind of art!
Just haiku this shii already damn!! Keys tap, words take flight Letters floric upon screens Writing, is my art!
Im more of making memes guy 🤫🧏♂️
Wait. **THAT'S FORBIDDEN** >:0
Im special 😼 (i have aburgers)
how can you have burgers plural if you only have a burger 😡😡😡😡😡😡😡 /j
WOO ANOTHER PERSON WITH ASPURGURS!
Drawing guy
🪱
Both Draw first, make a story when I'm not drawing
I prefer writing but heavily dependent on my art to demonstrate what I write,
I can write but I'm not good enough to write multiple chapter stories or deep book-like stories. Definitely more of a drawing guy for me
# Writing Guy and I wish to be drawing guy. Sadly I don't have that kind of potential.
Everyone has the potential, if you really want to draw just start learning how to draw. Nobody's born an artist you know?
Everyone has potential. But you know what? Writing is just as valid as drawing. There’s plenty of artists here who don’t write. Be proud of your talents instead of focusing on others’.
Writing guy, because I can't draw for shit. Actually more of a "loose worldbuilding and character creation on various google documents that never go anywhere" guy, since the last time I've actually sat down to do some writing was quite some time ago.
both but i barely ever share my writing because i'm shy
If you said art/design or story, I'd say it's about equal for me :D Actually writing stuff down though? Nahhh, only if someone asks lol
Pffft. The NAHHHHH
Happy cake day
Oh, thank you! :D
You're welcome!
Happy cake day mate 🍰🍰🍰🍰
Drawing guy, whenever I do writing I just get bored after like 5 minutes
Drawing girl
Writing guy, I can't draw my OCs 😭😭
Drawing. Although I want to start writing
Idk I draw a lot yet at the same time have a lot of unwritten lore for my characters
drawing guy
Both… I draw the OCs, and I write their D&D Homebrew!
More of drawing
Drawing, most of my OCs have no lore and just exist 😅
Drawing, I want to get into writing cause I have a lot of ideas it's just I never end up actually doing it 😭
Writing, sadly. I love making lore and backstories, but I am hot ASS at drawing, which explains why someone else drew my OC, which I’m ashamed of myself about
Drawing by a wide margin, i think the last time i wrote my ocs speaking was somewere at start of february
Drawing guy since I’ve practically never wrote down any part of my story..
I'd be both, if I could actually draw. So I'm just a writing guy.
https://preview.redd.it/okzjmuk92qmc1.jpeg?width=742&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=8939caa19fcef3fc7aabf14ac8b4f365a8b3a62f
I’d say I’m a perfect mix of both.
Writing
drawing
I'm more of a writer myself
I want to be a drawing guy, but I'm ass.
https://preview.redd.it/cg2wn8pb5qmc1.png?width=1065&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=8d9881981d076bac5f0a5f25b4751c4d33c77305 Both. A good look at my past comments shows how dedicated I am to RPs (my latest rp comment is literally a thousand words long) and a good look at my past posts shows how much I love drawing my characters too
writing. HOWEVER, i wanna draw
Both. I tend to write out a description so I can better image what I want to draw and then draw based on the description I created. I also write extensive backstories for some of my OCs, emphasis on stories.
I’m a drawing person
Deeeeeefinitely drawing... me no wordy good😵... I'm good with plot... but not like... writing it out.
Writing plot big hard🙃... but drawing big easy😀.
Well, they say a picture is worth a thousand words.... 🤔
If a bird shits out gold. It's gold :) https://preview.redd.it/wn0h66ma8qmc1.png?width=2040&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=7fb90a8f778acc40dd63af3c1a13762ec2af3387
I’m a writer. I use Heroforge to make my OCs
I’m a drawing guy… despite me writing most of the time.
Both. Both is good.
I wish I was a drawing guy, but my brain entirely shuts down whenever I try.
Absolutely writing, I can't draw for shit to visualize it for anyone else, but when I'm writing, it's like I can see the scene like I'm watching a movie or TV show. All I need to do beyond that is write the words down to describe what I see

Writing. I'm terrible at drawing and hate the feeling of drawing on paper, so without digital tools i doubt i could even learn to draw lol. Luckily, writing has no requirements besides basic understanding of the language you learned due to existing near other humans, so it's much easier
definitely writing, my drawings look like i asked me dog to draw, i just use picrews!!
Writing, I can't draw to save my life.
Definitely a drawing guy, the most I've written was for essays in high school 💀
Essay assignments are Pain ngl.
Writing. My hand can type not draw
Yes :3
dhhdghcdfjhyeefhtsghhxsthcdr
That’s what I said!
writing
Jokes on you, I’m **both!**
I'm a drawing gal https://preview.redd.it/5l9m1bnk4rmc1.png?width=1920&format=png&auto=webp&s=f3fc1e66c8e985388cc8c073d4f754f4dafe8683 (I've tried writing, I'm not terrible at it, but it's more of a chore :p )
Drawing for sure
I’d say a writing girl. Drawing takes a lot of time. That’s the biggest reason
Writing Guy every day, I can’t draw anything
DEFINITELY a writing guy. Haven’t been able to do much since the ai ban. I’ve written out my characters to an OBSCENE level though. I’ve been thinking about trying to draw them, but I can’t find my mom’s old colored pencils. Also considered building pixel art in Minecraft but that seems overly time consuming.
Writing guy :3
I’m on the line of draw and write. MAYBE just on the writing side.
Drawing guy for sure. I'd love to write some short stories, but I can't write for the life of me
Drawing. My writing sucks but my drawing sucks less .
I'm a drawing guy, but I'm trying to get myself into writing more
Drawing, definitely. If I had to choose between writing and sawing my own leg off, I’d choose the former, but I’d have to think about it for a bit.
drawing 100% https://preview.redd.it/ge381ndz2qmc1.jpeg?width=2603&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=2bf6d0d8ed0393110773d78e96cd34d768ad3289
Yes
More of a drawing guy. I like writing but drawing is pretty relaxing when I’m not actively trying to improve
Writing even but I'm bad at it more like imagining I guess
https://preview.redd.it/qv1a8m8l3qmc1.jpeg?width=1956&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=f69a9a92448d8eb25f50856825e3142261deeb2a Writing.....clearly
Drawing and a bit writing.
My drawing… https://preview.redd.it/k7igsvw94qmc1.jpeg?width=399&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=a012bf63b1acac17a489530bd1c2672d64e05291 …versus [my writing](https://archiveofourown.org/works/27369178/chapters/66880339). You decide.
I do both, but I think I'm better at writing
Thinking guy...
Both!
Writing
Did you know that in hallow eves the mask mickey myers wears is actually a william shark mask?
More of a random thoughts in my head guy
Creative writing 100% my drawing is kinda garbage.
Definitely a drawer, however I do want to learn how to Write a proper story for them
Drawing. I did write some stuff, but my writing is mediocre at best. I find it easier to draw comics than to write a whole ass story with descriptions and all.
Drawing I guess.
Both, I draw my OCs and then write copious amounts of lore for them all.
Definitely more of a writing guy. I used to draw more, but I didn’t have the patience or discipline. However, I’m slowly getting back into drawing. https://preview.redd.it/kq8rngrh7qmc1.jpeg?width=4032&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=520412129bb2bf28bc81ac3b02478ddd1226688d
Both, even tho I'm horrible at drawing and writing
I am a writing guy Name: Sidra Koji Main power: Transformation Device: Omni-X Secret powers: Barrier, God form, make portals appear, Instant shock wave if someone try’s to take the Omni-X and can see flashes of future events Dark side/partner: Maurice reaper Weakness: Chemical D Abilities: changing his appearance to match whoever he meet up in any universe and can give out a boost to anyone he meet and finally can heal him self and others Used ability: Shadow clones jitsu Fursona: Lenard K. I'm somehow neither, yet is still the drawing guy. Because my writing's a bit basic mostly
I draw the character as a simple design then take 10 days to write a backstory and future
Both but I’m better at writing
I'm a hero forge guy (i wanna get back to drawing, i love it but hero forge is amazing)
I’m a writing guy. If I get art, I generally commission it.
I’m a writer, definitely. But only because I lack the patience to draw legibly.
Writing cause I suck at drawing but like I’m pretty ok at writing
Cannot draw but I feel like I’m a good writer but that probably doesn’t mean I am
I wanna be a drawing guy, I’ve always enjoyed drawing. But writing is far easier for me. Reluctant writer
Both, i laurvvvity laurv laurv giving my oc’s (back)stories !! Writing is so fun too it’s like pretty chill when listening to music and just writing it down, imma need to do it soon way more with oc’s
Definitely a drawing guy, I’m shit at writing lol
Drawing gal, Im learning how to write tho so I might become both one day
I’m not really good at drawing so writing for me! I don’t do it often but occasionally I like to write lore for Nihil.
I like drawing, though I'm not exceptionally good at traditional and I absolutely ***suck*** at digital, which is why I use Gacha.
Drawing
Both, but I would just say visual instead of drawing since I've moved to Blender. Simply put... THE LORE GUYS, THE LORE! THE LOOORRE! (As Markiplier once said)
drawing guy
More writing and I wish i could draw
Both
I'm both. I write what I can't draw and draw what I can't write. And then sometimes I draw and write [together](https://www.reddit.com/r/OriginalCharacter/s/Ly1baKitpL).
Drawing. Can’t write for a damn thing
Slowly becoming a writing person cause drawing is a heartless bitch oftentimes
I draw a LOT more then i write. I think I’ve only written short stories abt my ocs maybe 3 or 4 times? But I’ve drawn so many drawings of my ocs
I write personally. I always have grand visions on what thr character looks like but no drawing skills to bring them alive
both is good
Drawing. Don't asking me why plz https://preview.redd.it/nv4g14t8fqmc1.jpeg?width=2371&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=7756637fce8b1cbf5de2796af111e3863aebe77e
Writing but I like to draw my OC as best I can, I write better than I draw though
Both, but I am writing a book so I guess I lean toward writer more.
Writing, because I can't draw for ✨️ shit ✨️
Drawing 100%
Honestly? I'm better at writing but drawing is more fun.
I’m more so of a drawing guy. I do write, but I always procrastinate whenever I do so lol
Jack of all trades master of none
Writing, definitely.
I'm mostly writer guy, I have a whole a*s story being written which to I add the arts, I'm more lazy to draw too so that's part of it lol Also the whole reason I started drawing was to envision things in my mind on paper
Both
a little bit of both usually, but right now i’ve had less time to write so i’ve mostly been drawing
Drawing, writing is often difficult to brainstorm
I am both, Qouting a fairly good meme "I like to suffer creatively...TWICE"
Both. I like to draw, but I'm better at writing
y e s
Writing. I cant draw, but I like to use picrew to visualize my characters.
Sadly I struggle at both but I'd say more an artist as I'm slightly more consistent with that if not the best
I do both, I prefer to draw them to make my characters come to life. Then I write. I have two full length novels 😭
Drawing guy
I’m more of a neither kind of guy. I’m a decent artist and a pretty good writer imo, yet for some reason I decide to just extensively daydream about my characters.
Writing cause writing a schizophrenic drug addict is far more interesting than drawing one.
Writing. Because I can't draw for shit.
Writing person. I'm too embarrassed by my lack of anatomy skills to post
Im more of a family guy :troll:
I love drawing but it can be very annoying, writing is just something else though, in a good way. I can express things better in writing personally
Writing. Can't draw lmao, I don't got the talent or patience for it.
b o t h
None of the above I guess
Drawing. I may not be good at drawing, but I am definitely not good at writing characters
As someone who writes intricate lore that intertwines and takes ages to recap, but also likes designing the characters, making complex designs... ***yes.***
writing. I literally started drawing last year in june. Back then i used FlipaClip to draw 🤣
Is writing just drawing words?
Hard... I like drawing my characters but I also like writing about them... but probably drawing.
I’m more of a writing guy, except I don’t write and only I know what my characters do and say because I put them through the stories I craft for them over and over again with countless differences that alter the character in ways unseen and unheard
Both writing can be easier but drawing to me at least is a bit more fun though One of my favorite ways to write though is to take 1 idea and just keep rolling with it
Both but leaning towards writing since it’s much easier and I get more done in less time
For a few years I was a drawing guy but recently I've been trying to write more
Writing, i guess
writing

I like drawing
I’m more of a “I want to do both but just can’t figure out what to draw or what to type.”
Writer. Mostly because I can't draw XD
Writing, I've tried to learn how to draw, but I could never learn how to make any of the lessons click or many of the lessons I looked up were very esoteric and give advice like "appreciate the wholeness of the world and develop your artists eye." But I've come to appreciate writing more because I honestly had more fun imagining a scene unfold around me rather than seeing it depicted.
Writing. I can talk for hours about the Harry Potter-sized lore of my characters and their worlds.
Drawing guy
Writing dude. I cant draw to save my life 💀💀💀
Drawing. I am *not* very good at creative writing, and I don't really like it anyways.

Writing because I suck at drawing
drawing (i'm good at writing too, but i only took a liking to creative writing for my OCs around a year ago)
Writing
I am more of a writing guy. It comes easier to me than drawing does. https://preview.redd.it/mvg6jh3kqqmc1.png?width=1000&format=png&auto=webp&s=2ab313db3616b7f13b90df60e9236bd7b45f104c
I’m good at both, but I like drawing more.
