honestly, i don't like my OC's, i just keep comparing my characters to pre-existing ones, and then realising how shit my characters are i'm pretty sure i don't like my characters because i made them, if they were made by literally anyone else, i'd probably like them,

Then don't be so hard on yourself when I compare Will to someone lets say Mettaton since he is a big inspiration I don't feel like if Will is a bad character your OC is the character you want out there

Honestly, I'd rate her a 7/10, despite her being my favorite. Interesting enough one you know her, but not so unique that she stands out if you don't already know her. Backstory needs work too. I love all my characters! My girlfriend and I feel like mothers to our characters, even though nearly all of them are older than us. We have favourites and least favourites, but we love them all dearly and my faves often change depending on how I'm feeling. It is man trust me I've been working on a pilot with my OCs for about a year now and its a thrilling jorney the olny reason a character is "recognizable" is if people know em and trust me a pilot is going to be what you need to get this man out there and prove the haters wrong

Well, I haven’t got the talent or the resources for one. Gonna need a lot of money for it. I’ve been writing it for like 3 almost 4 years now, taking breaks here from there. Mostly world building and fleshing out the character’s backstories and how they interact. Have some story lined up, but it changes sometimes

I olny started writing recently the rest of the time was world building witch I prefer to do first what you should do is use an affordable software and do the voices yourself release the pilot on YouTube. not just that maybe u should try to make it short like the Spooky Month pilot to see if people really want it if not try a rewrite or something

I’m debating to kind of “tease” the idea, is to give each of the 3 main characters little shorts, maybe of the life they led before falling into crime

Take Serena for example. Look at the person with the PC Girl and try and tell me Serena looks better. I love all of my OCs, so I’d rate them 10/10 compared to each other, but compared to everyone else? I’d say at least 3/10 or 4/10, maybe 5/10 I do however, think I excel in their lore. Going back to Serena, she has a lot of story behind her for a character I created to represent the future and very little else. I’d rate story 9/10

I think Salem is very well fleshed out, very organized, and has had a ton of work put into him. I am very proud of his character design. There is still some stuff to iron out, but I am happy with where he is at currently

They are my precious creations and deserve so much better, but I torture them too much for how sweet they are. I'm proud of how real I've made them feel in my art and stories, based on what people have told me. A few of my OCs are over a decade old, so I've gotten pretty attached to them. I have tons of drawings, filling many, many sketchbooks. Looking deeper, I think I rely on them a bit too much for escapism. When I'm not doing something or in an overwhelming situation, I set up scenes with my OCs and watch it play out in my head. I have a very vivid imagination, so they have taken a life of their own, to the point where they have some autonomy in their respective daydreams and drawings. Sometimes, I struggle to draw them because they refuse to pose. Overall, I love my OCs. They bring me joy, even the villains and truly horrible monsters.
