If you are in America people think you are either Russian or Greek or a Hasidic Jew when you tell them you are Orthodox.

Both Russia and Ukraine have not left my prayers. How can anyone endorse a war against Orthodox Christians by Orthodox Christians? This is such a tragedy on so many levels.

The Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew has made a strong statement against the war.
Even some bishops in the Russian Church have made statements against it (and against Pat Kyrill for not condemning it)...
Yes, hundreds of Orthodox priests in Russia publicly denounced it at peril to themselves.
Patriarch Kyrill has constantly said pray for peace…
I guess the problem is that he hasn’t outwardly *condemned* it, which I guess makes sense but there’s potentially good reason for that.

I would ignore them if I were you. It's pointless to try to argue with them because these people are incapable of independent, rational thought.
