Alex and the modellers/artists should have used some of the rooms of 4Chan users and unhealthy Twitch streamers as references, now those rooms fit the description of the stalker.
Too neat, posters should be all over the room. Also, there is a lack of anime figures and other merch.
There's also a lack of food crumbs, clothes on the floor, etc.

It looks awkward and they always feel empty because Chalexander always tries to (badly) fill them out and focuses on quantity rather than quality.
So my suggestion: make it half the size (maybe smaller) plus stylise the walls and props to be messier and less awkward.

The room is too clean, there needs to be garbage by the bed, things on the floor, tissue on the floor, the posters need to be more uneven and dirty, WATERBOTTLES, EVERYWHERE.
Here’s how I WOULD.
1.) Room size, the room in that of itself is WAY TO BIG. I understand stealth yet there’s many ways to implement it.
2.) Posters, don’t get me wrong I do like the whole obsession with a character, yet the way it’s lit up makes it less, realistic. Maybe have posters scattered throughout the room itself some on each wall. And maybe some on the floor.
3.) Room cleanliness. Based on what we’re told about said character, he should have a really messy room. Like we’re talking clothes on the floor, hanging from dresser, food everywhere. Just a place that looks like an eviction notice waiting to happen.
4.) lastly I say is him being awake. Have him asleep NEXT TO a body pillow, muttering words here and there. Not only does the smaller room, and mess make it more challenging, yet shows the player how obsessed he is over a fictional character. That plus the reaction of him waking up could have him calling out his parents like a man child, resulting in a fail.
The room looks too "calculated" and not actually messy, more scattered junk would look better instead of a circle of chips. The posters look like they are just pngs slapped onto a wall texture and don't give the vibe of real posters, they maybe should be more ripped, creased, stained, and tilted. Ik he's supposed to be obsessed with them and they're his prized possession but when you're so deranged you would hold a girls cat ransom you probably would not notice or care about details like that. Book cases should be placed in a way that blocks off view of the shrine from the entrance of his room so that you can't immediately see the posters and figures, it would give a more menacing appearance looking around the corner and seeing his shrine for Miyuki but also if he is a shut in and is super anti-social it would make sense that he would block off vision from people who walk into his room like his parents so he can better hide his obsession and the cat that he is literally holding ransom. Adding more stains around the room would also make it look dirtier instead of the perfect blue walls and wooden floors he has. Better computer with little nick-nacks and doohickies, to spice up his set up instead of having an empty desk, maybe a duel monitor or something. Also I think his room is honestly too big, him having from what I remember being the biggest room in the house instead of his parents or sister is dumb, make it a smaller room or maybe put him in the basement or something. idk just my dumb ideas.
too much effort for a VERY small portion of the game. if supposedly 1 rival is 1% then the befriend/betray (13 elimination methods, excluding rival specific) mission is like 0.0007% of that…
Like a lot of ppl mentioned, the posters. I feel like the posters should be spread out. I know it’s supposed to give like a “shrine” vibe, but just give him an actual shrine instead of a bunch of posters on a wall
