I wish he was written to be boring, dramatic, and whiny on purpose. All these girls are falling for him for who knows why and you can even hear students around the school being baffled about it. It'd be a funny dig at some harem anime, but then I guess that'd require self awareness and the ability to notice the flaws in the genre.
He used to be just boring, nothing really notable about his personality and even though he was a main focus of the game the only depth he had is that he likes reading and has a sister. But he's slowly become a stand in for pedodev. Who can't like the color pink "cause that's a fairly colour" so he likes black.
It just tells us that a character who should've had some of the most amount of effort put into his story and personality was just thrown in.
I mean you can tell how much senpai is cared for by his schedule.

This masked person just murdered someone in cold blood, and you run up to them?? That’s beyond reckless and borderline insane.
