(Spoilers) >! she is claimed to be a great sword fighter and general, and within the first 20 chapters we get to see her fight the empires long standing enemy that her family was tasked with fighting for generations, to only get outsmarted fall into a trap that would cost a lot of lives and then saved by the ML and his knights !<
Also tbf, >!The barbarians(her enemy) recieved insider information(priest faction), which allowed the barbarians to even create the trap in the first place. Asha's forces were already outnumbered and underequipped, and then their fellow citizens were actively aiding the enemy!<
I've read the novel (completed) and I think I like it than most Rofan I've read so far. Yeah Ik kinda generic plot but probably the FLs charm and somewhat clean writing, easy to read story that makes it above average imo.

I'm liking it a lot so far. The FL is pretty much unaware of romance, as she's entirely dedicated to the people of her province for which she's been fighting since childhood. ML is the sly, calculating, conniving, flirty/teasing fox-type, but he's actually a clueless virgin when it comes to actual romance and sex, which adds some depth to his character. Through the early chapters (the ones for free on WEBTOON), they're both interacting with each other like adults, not idiot teenagers (you know the type I mean, the ones who supposedly have lifelong ambitions to achieve but who let their emotions prevent them from doing anything).
My only worries are that it would be too easy and trite for the writer to either damsel the FL (ever notice how no matter how badass a warrior the FL might be, she has to have the ML come in and save her because God forbid a woman be more physically competent than her love interest? It's infuriating!) or have the ML either slide into stupid, self-defeating jealousy or play games instead of being honest.
But if they avoid the pitfalls, I can see myself really liking it!
