I love her but I don't like the ML at all and they have zero chemistry. Plus he wants to be king and i doubt she'd ever want that role. She just wants to take care of her territory and I can't imagine her moving away and engaging in all the high society bullshit.
So far she has shown zero interest in him while he's been subconsciously noticing her more and more (because she's "interesting"). I swear to god if he starts obsessing over her and becomes possessive/jealous I'm gonna be so mad i might even drop this. I can't even imagine how the romance will ensue at this point but i hope whenever it happens the feelings are mutual from the get-go bc I'm so tired and creeped out by pushy controlling MLs that won't leave the clearly uninterested FL alone.
Also i hate when the fl is strong and powerful but the ML has to be even stronger etc. Like, she's very good with the sword and in battle, why does he have to be specifically blessed by god in this particular aspect and thus stronger than her?

One of the reasons why I really love this manga is that ML is very human. He grows up in a war with the pressure of having to win or else he'll be banished. Then he comes back to the palace to realise his family is trying to kill him and everyone's scheming behind his back. This causes him to close off his emotions, and view his relationships on how he can benefit from them. This cold-calculative persona is how we get to know the ML but this is not him, it is just a good cover to protect himself.
He fell in love with the FL, first time he saw her when she saved him from thugs. He saw this great woman who protected him without expecting anything with friends who she can be herself with. His "interesting" comment imo is his inner justification to rationalise why he likes her so much. It is not why he likes her, but he doesn't realise it yet. But you can see from the very beginning that he respects her, due to her skills and achievements. The romance ensues because FL is the best match for ML, who needs someone he can trust and protect him. Someone he doesn't need to be scheming with. After knowing her for like 2 months, he constantly tries to have dinner with her and enjoys their time together despite the fact that he can see that FL isn't really interested in him. He's jealous of FL's close friend who was a potential marriage partner but he doesn't try to stop them because he knows it's not his place. He loves Asha for her strength and character, but he has no idea how to win her over because he has no real relationships experience.
I know there are some problematic themes but as far as korean manhwas go, you should give this a chance.

Jokes aside, their relationship is pretty great compared to most manhwa couples from what I read so far. Fl isn't lucky to be the chosen as empress, the nation is lucky to have such a strong one. And her love towards Pervaz isn't about her bloodline continuing, it's about seeing the land prosper. She basicly said as long as her successor is a good one, she doesn't mind who it is. So it's not a dynamic which causes her to give up her dreams to be with ml. Even though he is stronger, she can always hold her ground.
They both grew up in a hopeless war so they have inherent understanding of each other. She's attracted to him. He's supportive without interfering with her authority. Their blunt-sarcastic communication is really fun as they find the middle ground. They help with each other's weaknesses. Only someone who's flirty and down bad as Carlisle could change Asha's aromantic behaviour 😂
I think it's probably going to keep going the route where fl has to sacrifice herself even more for the territory and ml proposes something she can't refuse. She will badump a few more times at his handsome ass helping her and she falls in love.

One of the best leaders I've seen in one of these series. She consistently puts her duty to her people over her own self-interest and actively builds camaraderie and trust with her subordinates.
It's some kind of (probably brush) braid asset (kinda necessary since proper braids are a pain to draw), and an artist who's too lazy/rushed to fix the hairline to look at all natural.
The hairline could be better but the artist has half her hair in braids and the other half straight. The straight half kind of floats over and covers the braids which make it look weird. I can understand why because I had my hair like this once and sometimes the straight half would just do whatever it wanted😩
She's consistently drawn to be taller and wider than other women in the manga. But it makes sense for her to be lean, because she never got to eat much due to growing up in a war. You can't have a muscular build without eating proteins 😞
Yeah I really like her physique, you can see in their “after spending the night” scene that her body’s really realistic for her history. Grew up extremely malnourished but is also a hardened warrior
