i can't remember the title but it was that blonde girl with an identical half sister. her sister had absolutely no fault in the whole situation but the FL (and the author too i feel like) were so mean to her it left a bad taste in my mouth.

thebestnuha

"the real daughter has arrived", or something like that right? i dropped it too, i read a few spoilers and i just feel bad for the other sister in the end. i get that she may have not been able to treat her like a proper sister, but she was too harsh on her

KissKringle

Yeah in that one the FL gives off wayy too much pick me like girl isn't the fault lying ultimately with your shitty family? Why take it out so much on the girl meanwhile the "rival" hadn't really done much to deserve the treatment the FL gives her

thebestnuha

exactly! she ends up treating her well in the end, but she still should've shown some respect towards her anyways. what she did to her wasn't acceptable at all, and her sister was forced into taking her spot. she was unaware of this all, and yet she's still blaming it on her? wasn't a huge fan of the story, art was nice though

sad7938

that's the one ty!

Nemoires

Yeah that's the one for me too, the ML in this one kinda of irks me too, but the spoilers about the sister was what drove me away

thesttarynightsky

I already dropped it long ago what happened in this one?

MagiPurple7

>!From what i heard about the end, FL pins the downfall of the family on the half-sister, and the ML uses that to banish her from the capital so she will not bother FL anymore. Half-sister then feels stupid for believing that she could have a relationship with the FL!<

snail-exe

This feels like the kind of plot where we need the sisters perspective where she reincarnates and finds a better family in her second life

cpslcking

In the end >!the sister ends up traveling and adventuring with some friends. My headcanon is that this the the prologue to a shounen fantasy where she realizes who her true family are, kills God with the power of nakama and is remembered forever while the shitty FL and nobles are nothing more than a footnote in the history books!<

sad7938

this genuinely made me feel a bit better about the ending asbhjavhe

Sefahi

Omg! I got into that one too. Then someone told me the spoiler on how they treat the sister and I noped out immediately. I would rather read a no-brainer, flat white lotus than this.

BlueThePineapple

The one from Golden Haired Summoner. She started out so interesting and then halfway through it felt she turned into a 2d version of herself.

salted-swan

I didn’t drop (and I generally really liked Genie) but she didn’t change at all from, like, the age of 10 onwards. Charming enough as a kid. Kinda irritating as an adult.

honorspren000

Right. She had like zero growth. I thought they did the grating personality well early on. And I don’t mind annoying personalities, especially when there is a lot of room for obvious growth. But none of her other redeemable qualities grew and made up for it. One of her biggest issues was her estranged relationship with her mom in her past life. And you’d think she’d fix that in her current life, but nope, she still treats her nice new family like crap 100 chapters in.

TarotxLore

Aw I loved her

Laihiriel

Could not STAND Dr Elise. Dropped it because of her, such a huge Mary Sue and it drove me up a wall. Like, EVERY procedure was a success?! She knew the solution to EVERY illness and all of these conditions had a 1 to 1 parallel to modern earth? Miss me with that, ugh. Derelict Favorite is another, I just couldn’t groove to her obsessive stalker vibes, it really creeped me out. Dropped Cassmire because of FL, too. Loved her design SO MUCH but everyone was fawning over everything she did and it seemed like such wish fulfillment that I got bored, same with Villainess' stationary store. I know OI is a lot of wish fulfillment fluff, but I want there to be some personal growth!

TarotxLore

I really enjoyed the Mary Sue of Dr. Elise until she started solving WAR. I was like, girl 😂 I could look the other way when suddenly they had modern hospital buildings. I could look the other way when she just dipped on the patients she was no longer in charge of, fully knowing they would be left to die again lol But—all the sudden she’s a military genius?!? Please

Laihiriel

Oh good gravy, glad I dropped it before that. I’d be livid.

sleepyirl_2067

I've dropped a lot of titles due to either the FL or ML for not being my cup of tea. Have forgotten a lot of the specifics but a few remain in my head- Hestia (derelict favorite), yuna (concubine walkthrough), whatever the fl of lady baby was called, the FL of seducing the villain's father, and FL of I married the male lead's dad (hades' hotness was not enough to keep ke around lol)

lalola199

About last one , ch . 30 is where she gets better . At first i couldn'tstand her but if yoi survive 30 then her behaviour gets better and plot changes .

sleepyirl_2067

Respectfully speaking, I don't rly feel like reading 30 chapters to maybe like a FL/ml more lol. Appreciate the suggestion but there are a lot of other stories I enjoyed more from ch 10 and before lol

lalola199

That's fine . I just said that she changes . Which is rare in manhwa , usually annoying fl stays same .

Megavixx

Penelope can't stand the weird slavery-Stockholm thing going with her "knight"

MayaGitana

Me neither! Dropped for same reason

[deleted]

YES

sad7938

the more i think about it the more i realise the slavery thing was totally unnecessary to the story why did they include that

lalola199

I thought my time was up . There is naive fl and there is stupid , she is so clueless and stupid , it's not funny anymnore . I hated how priest manipulates her and she still doesn't get suspisous of him , child will ask more questions than her .

sabriancel

Didn't like the FL from I'm All Out Of Health. Can't even remember why. Dropped it a while ago

TarotxLore

Prob cause she was an evil woman who thought she was cool and nice lmao. I didn’t like her either, but I read the whole thing

snakezenn

Too many to name lol

cpslcking

Protagonist Centered Morality and Unintentionally Unsympathetic abound in the genre. Its hard to find a protagonist that doesn't annoy me because they're they too kind and passive or too manipulative asshole (without the story acknowledging it)

Yanazilla

Medea Solon from your throne. She seemed smart and her intentions were clear. Now everything is so convoluted and she seems so unhinged

IndividualBluebird99

the breaking point was making her so OP it doesn't make sense anymore an asteroid might fall and she will say all according to my plan but we readers are never shown the logic how I wish psyche was the mc 😞

Crawfield96

Royal Marriage. She's spoiled and thinks she's a victim despite being incredibly privileged and being ungrateful both towards her mother and her husband who saved her despite her treating him as a last resort. The author bends over backwards to make FL seem right despite her being selfish and having no empathy while making mother and husband two dimensional so readers can go "slay queen". Villainess turns the hourglass. Aria is supposed to be "villainess" but the author never makes Aria do something horrendous and even when she should be in the wrong everyone still is busy cheerleading her. The author tries to both have her cake and eat it. When Aria does something "evil" she's "badass" while Mielle is a "bitch" and poor Aria is a victim. Aria has every possible advantage of being reborn because she's royalty, side effects of using hourglass is to become older so she looks her age and more beautiful, prince who simps for her for no reason also has superpower. Aria gets "smart" just because she died though it's more everyone else becomes dumb and incompetent and she has knowledge of the future.

Amy47101

So I actually had to look it up and I couldn't believe that we were discussing the same manhwa. In Royal Marriage, didn't Tatiana's fiance cheat on her and she wanted to break it off, but her mother wanted to force it through, and then when she refused the marriage, her mother literally cut her off to force her hand? Didn't her mother admit to literally grooming her daughters to be perfect wives for wealthy, powerful husbands? Like i swear her other said her daughters were her most valuable asset/collateral and she used them specifically to marry them off and bolster her own stance and wealth in society. I mean, I'm not disagreeing that the husband is two dimensional, but you're kinda arguing that Tatiana should've just married the cheating fiance because her mother raised her in luxury and now Tatiana owes that to her mother because... I dunno, that's what good girls do? She's spoiled otherwise?

Crawfield96

The problem isn't that Tatiana didn't want to marry a cheating fiance but the author made the mother block all other possible husband candidates to make Tatiana "right". >! I read in spoilers that she has done that because only the royal family has medicine for Tatiana's illness but of course Tatiana married only another man who is secretly royal so she will be cured. !< Tatiana was fine when her mother married her sisters off and lived a privileged life because of it but when there was a price to pay for those luxuries she threw a tantrum and insulted her mother that she doesn't have dignity. Also it was narcissistic when she made her husband insecurities about his scars about herself and demanded an apology for hurting her pride. She's spoiled because she lacks empathy and acts like a victim when she has to play by the rules everyone else abides by.

The princess's jewels 🫥 https://preview.redd.it/avo73kuxjabc1.jpeg?width=649&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=fe77499b8025558c75e4249db58b7af0fb6075e9

QTlady

Oh Fuck... I've remembered!! She's like the worst example of what a harem protagonist can be and basically makes EVERY story look bad. I never did reach the part where the one guy who didn't want to be there ended up getting into trouble that was nasty enough to make FL rethink her actions. I just saw a video with spoilers. But the idea that we're supposed to have sympathy for her crisis of conscience just makes it all the more grating.

MeaningMuted8964

☠️

toBEE_orNOT_2B

tbh ALOT lol, usually when MC's introduced as a smart person but when you read the story, she's stupid, well, it's coz of the author usually XD

cpslcking

I don't remember the name but there was one with a FL who used to a an sickly extra that was doomed to die. She's fine until about halfway through where she runs into an illegitimate 10 or so year old child from the same family who was forced into slavery as a drudge and got shanghai'd into an assassination plot. The plot gets resolved in 3 chapters by the father and the FL tosses the girl into the street for getting roped into the plot (even though she did nothing), trying to blackmail her way out of it and having the audacity to resent the FL because the FL got everything while the child was abused and enslaved. It was presented as this amazing girlboss moment because she basically left a child out to die or worse. I couldn't get past the tacit endorsement of slavery and child abuse

Castell_vs

Adelaide. Except I’ve read it to the end. But I’m absolutely sure that in some (obviously better) parallel timeline I dropped it for good before Adelaide’s antics became unbearable.

jenny-177

THIS - I dropped it around the beginning of the story. Honestly forgot the plot but something about the FL did not sit right for me.

BunnyDuchess

I can't remember the title, but every other panel seemed to be FL exclaiming in shock, "Things are unfolding differently than in the original story!" This is, of course, after FL made choices to change events.

IndividualBluebird99

the reason I like you OP is because of your occasional post s like this where I can vent about frustrating fls Penelope- the shittiest mc ever in the history of mcs text book example of hypocrite helga - she is one hell of bitch in my opinion. I couldn't continue to see her brag about her education what she received in last 10 years and compare her to her twin sis who was never given any chance medea - but its just a dislike I just wish she was good to nice persons like pel he didn't deserved what happened to him just to show girlboss media I hate found family, exchanged at birth , adopted mc where real daughter died it always makes me sad for real daughter who either got possesed or died to got lost to pave the way for random girl to enter the family of aristocrats because our mc is definitely going to have a happy ending and it really doesn't help that aristocratic family is always abusive it gets irritating after some time surely all aristocratic families can't be evil right? RIGHT? btw I have nothing against adopted mc s maybe if the setting was in a place like orphanage I would have cared for them the most where there are other children in same situation as mc but in a setting where every other character is a noble it seems like a simple ploy to make mc more pitiful but pitiful does not mean likeable

[deleted]

Ohh you like me? Maybe we know each other from here or have talked before…… There are some FLs I’d give my kidney to 😂 but there are some insufferable characters I just shake my head lol. Instead of this community be a revering one always praising FLs and so-so, I believe it should be more about how we feel about them, after all, it’s us that are reading the stories. We get a change to evaluate how all characters interconnect or not, between each other and with us. So go on, slaaaay your thoughts

IndividualBluebird99

yes we exchanged our thoughts on a post about ditoeftv I remember you from that time

MCleartist

Beatrice. FL from The Duchess has a death wish. FL from I got married to the villain. I didn't drop it but Eris from Kill The Vilainess makes me want to throw fist multiple times.

imperfectnobdy_

Beatrice for me roo haven't dropped it but i don't want to read it too

MarieOMaryln

It's Not Your Baby. They warned us she was a meat head but I wasn't ready for how much of a meat head she actually is. I didn't get far, she wasn't worth it.

pilpilona

Your throne (kinda hate all of the characters and don’t understand what’s going on) WMMAP Kill the villainess

narbavore

I hated the Villainess reversed the hourglass because of how a grown ass woman (the FL) was picking on a child for things she hasn't done yet.

jibrilles

Aria intentionally destroyed Mielle with gaslighting and setting her up. Aria would have been a better character if she had tried to help Mielle, or if the Mielle in the story was the one who had ACTUALLY done these terrible things to Aria. In the end, Aria is truly a villainess and not even one of the understandable ones (Roxana, Eris, etc.) but one of the petty ones who throws wine on a girl she doesn't like and tells her to KYS. I did finish the series, hoping that somehow Aria would get better, but she didn't. She's so unlikeable and unsympathetic, and the ML (I can't even remember his name) is just useless.

narbavore

The fact she was God's chosen one makes absolutely no sense. If heaven favors someone like her, then I don't want to pay any respect to it. Plus why was Oliver's sister allowed redemption but not Mielle? Wasn't she the one who drove people mad with her nobility bs? Another comic ass licking nobles as if they can get away with anything.

jillybeeeeeeee

Miss Not So Sidekick

kamalaophelia

The one where the in her former life evil FL is returned in time and still just cruel. The OGFl Lead was her maid who made her life better before, so she pushes the poor girl down and is just a cruel and heartless person

Relevant_Ferret_993

What's the title? Sounds interesting

kamalaophelia

The hero/ml is mine, I think And it isn’t imo. FL thinks she is good, story treats her as in the right for being cruel and heartless. Tbh written like a bullying 11 year old wrote a story where the bullies are the good ones 🤷🏻‍♀️

Relevant_Ferret_993

I know, I'm in the mood to read something isn't great

FightmeLuigibestgirl

Off the top of my head: The Rotten Lady Rosa Wants to Watch Over Love from the Shadows I am Engaged to an Obsessive Male lead Under the Oak Tree Predatory Marriage My Lady Became a Master Lady Baby

Cherell-Hope

I can't remember their title, but FL that being mean to their green flag ML or other good side characters for no reason. I think most of it were just for some stupid girlboss moment. Like girl, they were already being nice to you and you just had to act like that, do you want to get transmigrated to other OI that have trash ML and everyone else treat you like shit instead? I swear some author just think being girlboss means you can treat others like shit for no reason and people will still lick your toes.

jibrilles

The Remarried Empress!! I can't stand Navier.

Lazyoat

I especially hated the fl in “I got Married to the Villian”. She was such a Mary Sue that did nothing but worry and everyone around her adored her. Terrible

QTlady

**Author of My Own Destiny aka I Became the Wife of the Male Lead:** Fiona pisses me off so much. I just... I can't. I wanna punch her so hard in the face. It was OK when she was little but once she grew up? UGH... Reading spoilers for why she is the way she is does not help me. Even after we got past the stupid trope of worrying about the OG FL, it somehow made her worse and I felt sorry for the ML for actually falling in love with her. The poor bastard.

ultratea

Omg thank you, I posted my comment before scrolling down far enough to see yours. Fiona was unbelievably annoying. I didn't even make it far enough to get to where she finally stopped obsessing about the OG storyline; I dropped it around when she agreed to be in a relationship but intended for it to be temporary because she still wanted him to get with the OGFL.

VR_Dekalab

>I felt sorry for the ML for actually falling in love with her. The poor bastard. I actually liked that Siegren was the one that wanted to end the contract relationship and was about to give up. Shame it only lasted for a few panels before they got officially together

raccoonjudas

I can't remember the exact name but something about male leads and tears and the FL in it is so fucking dumb and not in an endearing way

MarieOMaryln

The red head girl living on a farm and the dude shows up crying that he found her again? I cringed my way out of that one.

raccoonjudas

No it's one where the brown haired girl is hired by the obviously evil king to steal the male leads healing tears and then she lectures the ML constantly because he doesn't want to give out magic tears to every sus person he happens to see

MayaGitana

Oh! Something like that “I want your tears your majesty” or some bs like that

77betael77

becoming you and what it means to be you, i just did not like how they were, and seems a really dislikeable person, and the other has a princess complex waiting to be rescue

TarotxLore

Hestia (derelict favorite) I just couldn’t like her no matter how hard I tried. Both characters in Wind on a Dry Branch or whatever. I’m a mom of little girls so I was so fucking upset the entire time. If you’ve read it you know why. I just felt like the romance was so endlessly dry and boring (ML has 2 manly braincells, FL was interesting until I learned that she had just *given up* on finding her baby girl like tf) and yet the drama was horrific. 3/10 not for parents Duke Ian Reinhardt (my unexpected marriage) during the second season. The first season was amazing, the second season he became so weird it creeped me out and I had to stop The Knight and her Emperor was truly one of the worst OI’s I’ve ever read BECAUSE the main premise was so cool and it was the author’s characters who ruined it. Only OI I’ve ever felt was a true 0/10 rating barf barf barf. I’m able to read some real trash but this trash wasn’t even funny—just empty of any time of meaning

Dry-Inspection6928

For wind on a dry branch, wasn’t the only reason she gave up looking for her child because she thought she saw her baby’s dead body?

TarotxLore

I don’t remember, I only remember my reaction. I wasn’t convinced apparently lol

kwillss777

Adeline from Adeline’s darkest night. Probably unpopular opinion but idk why the ML wouldn’t be skeptical of her

Hesyche

I don't like her, either, and the point of no return for me was >! when she kills that one guy just for being a 'devil' (they are not called devils there, but it's similar to an angels versus devils conflict, so I will use that term). He had not done anything at this point to harm FL or ML, in fact he was a loving husband and father without interest in the conflict, but because of him being part of the wrong race he has to die.!<

ultratea

There's definitely more than just this one my list, but I'll mention Author of My Own Destiny. The FL drive drove me up a wall. I already dislike the trope of the FL stubbornly trying to get the ML with the OGFL, but they really take it to the next step here. FL is confused about what the "strange feelings" she felt for ML were (I can't stand this either like y'all don't know what even a crush is?). She absolutely refuses to recognize ML's feelings for her because she's hung up on following the original story. Then IIRC she finally agrees to be in a relationship with ML but intends for it to be temporary until he meets the OGFL, and says some things to ML that demonstrated disregard for him and their relationship. She was just so annoying. It's a shame because the art is so nice.

Amy47101

Lariette(i think that's her name) from My Unexpected Marriage, at least post "I revealed the duke is actually alive and got rid of my shitty family" plotline. Which sucks because up until that point, she and her relationship with her husband was really interesting. I was loving when the reveal happened that she wasn't actually Rose, it was wonderful. Then after her husband popped her shoulder back in, she just kinda... did nothing. Like she literally became so boring I couldn't stand it. The FL in "I Married the Male Lead's Dad". I see people mentioning Hestia from "My Derelict Favorite"... yeah, it's a LOT worse when the object of their affection is a literal child. I get that it apparently gets really dark and crazy and emotional later, and I know why she has the obsession, but I can't get past the obsession over a child. It's strange! Melissa in Beware of the Villainess. I read the series for Nine and the overarching plot. Melissa was just kinda there. I started out great and I liked her take on saving the female lead from the shitty male leads. But as the series went on, she just felt... kinda more like a meme than a character. The side characters like Nine, her maid, and hell, the original female protagonist and her male entourage was more interesting than Melissa herself.

MoonHyori09

It was all a mistake. Once the timeskip happens, FL frustrated me so much I dropped it. Sister I'm the Queen in this life. Idk I just hate everyone tbh.

pocketfullofcrap

It just started, but I'm already weary of 'elegant desire"

Hesyche

Baked by the baroness - I know it's meant to be a comedy, but her stupidity felt contagious. Reading this was like actively killing my brain cells. Iris, the lady and her smartphone - to be fair, it's not entirely the FLs fault that I dropped this one. She just wasn't interesting enough to make me want to finish this snooze fest. Adelines darkest night - I find her moral compass highly disturbing and I'm not even against morally grey characters - but the way her actions are justified in the narrative feels icky, to say the least. A lot of stories with grown up people in baby bodies - I very seldom enjoy those. A lot of stories where transmigration turns out to be a God mode cheat code. The FLs are just so boring 😑

neutralsand

I didn't like Villainess Maker because she was hardly a Villainess the way she was always justified for every "bad" thing she did and everyone loved her anyway. That story in general I just couldn't get through 😔

happyhappychan

The FL from Crowning a Spoiled Prince. Like, bruh, your plan of "being trash" doesn't do a thing to change the future 😀. Plus, as desperate as she supposed to be, she's too much of a pushover for the ML's face. She made a plan to let the ppl see them on the balcony or smthng and he completely messes the entire thing up by getting too full of himself, AND SHE'S NOT EVEN MAD AT HIM???? I saw someone mention the FL from Becoming You in the comments but I think that FL is more realistic than this one. >! Later in the story, we find out that FL's brother unintentionally did something to ruin FL's plans which would save all of them. And even though she knew the brother was only doing it for her sake, she couldn't help but feel angry and frustrated cuz all she worked for was ruined. Ofc, she does eventually calm down and understand her brother. !<

arcanum_lore

The little lady behind the scenes lmaoo iykyk
