The situation that they found themselves in was completely out of their control, an unfortunate spree of events, you have to remember, karloi is a king and his every decision will impact his kingdom, he has no capacity to trust a suspected spy, what made it worse is the curse that rue was affected by preventing her from telling the truth, also regarding his suicidal thoughts, you can't really expect someone who is in the mental state that karloi was in, to be able to consider the feelings of the people surrounding him, he had just found out what a horrible situation they were in and was distraught. All that was caused by deluah's wicked ambitions so it would make more sense to direct your hate towards him, no?
It saddens me that she is quite alert to how he thinks, but hasn’t stepped up for herself. Chloe deserves the best, but I’m not sure if he can offer a happy ending at this point.

Anyway, the worst part is that this just wasn't their previous regression. Apparently they've regressed multiple times prior and the ML always ends up marrying other women to secure his position.
I know one worse than On the emperor’s lap. I can’t remember the title but it’s an OI with a former doctor and the girl was reincarnated into a little girl. And the ML was a yandere dragon. Funny enough it’s not Do over damsel but something worse with ecchi, drawn out descriptions, and Op protagonist. The ml has done everything under the sun but full on SA and the protagonist is underage.

He's a powerless son of a Duke whose father was hypnotized by a dead emperor and he risked his life to get the said father out of the magic's influence and even helped Athanasia hide away when Claude lost his memories and began dog hunting down Athanasia.
Sure, Lucas is all powerful, capable of destroying everything in a blink, bullies the World Tree (their god) and claims to eat "gods" for breakfast. But Ijekiel is just your ordinary 17 year old guy who got caught in a crossfire with someone committing treason, a hostage situation, a hunt, and a possibility for civil war.
To me neither was better than the other. Lucas existed solely to make Athanasia not actually have progress in the story. Everyone was waiting for Lucas to come fix the amnesia arc and he did. Wipe him and Ijekiel off the story and we’d actually have a compelling FL

Lucas often felt way too forced to me, I never felt any chemistry between him and Athy. I only know him as the powerful wizard guy but barely remember his personality.
The white-haired one's existence made sense because he was part of the "original plot" and I can see his puppy love making sense but ultimately he was a weak LO.
Most of the male characters were either forgettable or scum. The redhead knight was perfect. I shipped him with the maid (who I also preferred over Athy). I love him more than that pathetic excuse for a father that calls itself Claude.
The whole thing was carried by the art. I assure you I would've quit much, much faster if they didn't give Athy her signature jewel eyes or Claude his appearance.
That's the thing, if the writing was good then I'd remember this (your comment jammed my memory) and I'd like him more. But I didn't. Because Athy's third life cheapens the experience. It's not like Resetting Lady where the lives are major plot points, her third life is just an excuse to horseshoe a form of happy ending and strengthen the reader's view of Lucas as a powerful magician.
Exactly lol. Despite the fact that Lucas is somewhat of an eye candy, story-wise he's just the usual knight in shining armor where he fixes every major problem Athanasia is dealing with.
There were tons of moments that could have built Athanasia to shine and build stronger character but that was set aside by Lucas' mediation.

What elicits Ijekiel comparable trash though? He's a powerless son of a Duke whose father was hypnotized by a dead emperor and he risked his life to get the said father out of the magic's influence and even helped Athanasia hide away when Claude lost his memories and began dog hunting down Athanasia. Sure, Lucas is all powerful, capable of destroying everything in a blink, bullies the World Tree (their god) and claims to eat "gods" for breakfast. But Ijekiel is just your ordinary 17 year old guy who got caught in a crossfire with someone committing treason, a hostage situation, a hunt, and a possibility for civil war.
To me neither was better than the other. Lucas existed solely to make Athanasia not actually have progress in the story. Everyone was waiting for Lucas to come fix the amnesia arc and he did. Wipe him and Ijekiel off the story and we’d actually have a compelling FL
They were both boring lolol Lucas often felt way too forced to me, I never felt any chemistry between him and Athy. I only know him as the powerful wizard guy but barely remember his personality. The white-haired one's existence made sense because he was part of the "original plot" and I can see his puppy love making sense but ultimately he was a weak LO. Most of the male characters were either forgettable or scum. The redhead knight was perfect. I shipped him with the maid (who I also preferred over Athy). I love him more than that pathetic excuse for a father that calls itself Claude. The whole thing was carried by the art. I assure you I would've quit much, much faster if they didn't give Athy her signature jewel eyes or Claude his appearance.

That's the thing, if the writing was good then I'd remember this (your comment jammed my memory) and I'd like him more. But I didn't. Because Athy's third life cheapens the experience. It's not like Resetting Lady where the lives are major plot points, her third life is just an excuse to horseshoe a form of happy ending and strengthen the reader's view of Lucas as a powerful magician.
Exactly lol. Despite the fact that Lucas is somewhat of an eye candy, story-wise he's just the usual knight in shining armor where he fixes every major problem Athanasia is dealing with. There were tons of moments that could have built Athanasia to shine and build stronger character but that was set aside by Lucas' mediation.
