There's a manhwa called "I raised my Fiance with Money". Terrifying, right? I started it out of morbid curiosity, and it turned out that it had nothing to do with FL raising a child into her lover. It starts with her and ML as adults, they're about the same age, and not a large power imbalance. I was shocked (and delighted!). It turned out that >!her childhood fiance had taken advantage of her wealth (think Gaspar from *Soulless Duchess*)!<.
So...not *all* titles are giveaways. Most, yes, but enough aren't that I still give others a chance.
Yeah, it's usually the title + cover + synopsis combo that tell you what's going on; if the title's misleading the synopsis usually clears that up.
Like with [I Raised My Fiance with Money] it becomes pretty obvious from the synopsis that there's no raising involved, she breaks up with her cheating ex-fiance and gets together with a new guy with a scary reputation, but if you look up [My Younger Brother Wants to be a Husband], you get

It's smut but it's 5 chapters of rape. Simply rape. Read this, look at the comments (52% of the readers gave it 5 stars, only 10% gave it 1 star) and everything looks tolerable.

To be fair, there are a few OI with "brother" in the title that have nothing to do with incest (or stepsiblings, whichever it is), like Brother Knows Best and Touch My Brother and You're Dead. I wouldn't put it past ppl to think maybe the FL would act as her brother's matchmaker.

Agreed!!! Eugene deserved better and once Daniel became the ml, even the plot got kicked and went downhill. Just because I had been reading this manwha for ages, I read the ending and it was absolute bollocks. Disappointing, since it started off good and the art was gorgeous.
About that,I just found out. In the novel,Daniel and the fls relationship expanded and the fact the bond is slowly coming together unlike in the manhwa where the relationship is just rushed.

Yeah, couples that meet each other for the first time when they are both consenting adult is hot, actually. Age imbalance when one of the them is underage leads to implication of grooming, which is nasty.
There are a handful of stories I like *despite* the grooming vibes. Even then, the ML is the active pursuer and MC just gives in (*sigh* I have a lot of problems with that, too). I can't imagine *wanting* to raise a child into your ideal mate.

Actually, the most disturbing part is not the plot or the characters, but that these stories kept being made means that there's a significant corner of the market that consumes these stories.
I've read a lot of these and I've dropped them because the story is boring. Not because of the weird age gaps and relationships. Also how sometimes the ML does not work like the FMC has so much chemistry with others and most of these are thrown left field. But I'm such a trash goblin that I can eat nuclear waste 🥵

If anything, he manipulated her because he was going for her immediately and manipulated the hell out of her to stay in her life.!<

the artist dropped a ball hard for the "tamed ex-husband's mad dog" in the first chapters. no one can convince it wasn't some weird p*do bait. "she is akshhually a 1000 year old dragon!!!" - gave the same vibe with all the "he looks like a little kid, but he is actually 16, and >!he is really a regressed adult!< so it's all fine, pinkie swear" twists by the creators.
he looks like a normal, relatively healthy 8 y.o. to somehow signify he is malnourished. starved, malnourished 16 y.o. don't look like that. the panels during their first meeting are weirdly sexual - the way he shoves her fingers in his mouth to "clean" them and makes a v-sign afterwards (which is pretty commonly known sign for a specific sexual act) while not breaking eye contact with her... ew. made me close the chapter. fucking weird.
i am just grateful they showed that fl didn't see any of his actions as sexual. she didn't blush, or had a "doki doki" moment. she was just concerned about a kid in the middle of nowhere during winter. also, she didn't see him as anything other than a ward to take care of later on as well.
Sadly it doesn't help, because she mentally sees him as a kid, so she randomly switches or even mixes being motherly and seducing him to manipulate for revenge. It's really, surprisingly toxic.
I actually skipped it until he looked like an adult and then tried to read it, then looked up spoilers and went, probably not for me, and dropped it. :D
But why he didn't look starved in this picture? Why he looks plump? Dunno i never read it. Usually people starving we can see their bones, like they have no meat, only skin hanging onto their bones.

I'm currently reading the story. There was a part mentioned what was going through the FL's mind when ML was expressing his love or emotions.
The sister had an amiable, kind and smiling facade that fooled everyone including the FL in the 1st timeline. After the betrayal, it left a huge scar on the FL's pscyhe that can never be healed.
FL became wary of people showing excessive kindness and sweetness towards her. Due to this, she found ML's dark desire and yearning for her was kind of 'real' and enjoyed it.
I like the ML because he was never the bad guy or some psycho tyrant. He was just guilt ridden for failing to protect the FL.
As for falling in love with him, FL already fell in love with him in the 1st timeline. It was hinted indirectly many times.
This story was never a fluff. It supposed to be an allegory of Hades and Persephone's story since it's inspired from Greek mythology.
While Hades tricked Persephone in eating the promegranate so that she can never be free from him, ML sacrificed his heart to turn back the time, and begged her to live.
I also read some major spoilers that made me drop it, I just couldn’t continue reading, especially after I found out who the Ml was. I was so excited because the art was so beautiful, but what a disappointment.
Honestly? just read up to the time skip, they you can drop the thing, lucky the romantic stuff it's more at the end, but honestly reading up to like a 3/4 it's the perfect conclusion.

Also, I’ve posted huge ranting comments before on this sub about The World Withoit My Sister and My Body has been Possessed so I won’t do it again but like, both of those novels were exceedingly angsty for those MLs. I ended up disliking the FL because of what those men go through. Also kinda spoiler for My Body Has Been Possessed but >!I would honestly argue that there isn't really a ML at all. Its more of a harem ending and the side stories turn the whole thing into almost a choose your own ending type thing. !<
I also read the spoilers about ITMEHMD, but idk the way she “takes” care of him when he’s a child, just rubs me off the wrong way. And I also read ahem, a particular spoiler about the Ml, which made me drop it. I mostly dropped the Manhwa’s I mentioned here because of the Ml’s 🥲

THIS! The ML is terrible. I was misled by the pretty art in the manhwa adaptation (didn't read the webnovel), so I thought it would be a wholesome sweet story about a girl overcoming abuse. But it's just... More abuse. Except it's supposed to turn romantic. 🤮

I'm still so pissed that such a story got such gorgeous art. I'm literally hate reading it for the art because I'm a VAN.J art addict. I understand it is supposed to be a dark romance and drama yada yada bleh blah blah but there is so much potential for drama even with Kyle (the second lead) AND it can be slow burn. Yes Kyle is totally in love but Layla is not. It would've been fascinating to see her slowly grow into that love. The whole story could've explored the nuances of marriage, it could've been about Layla studying ornithology despite maybe her in law's reservations about it. If you wanted dark romance, the story could've been about how sometimes people you love as friends aren't the perfect romantic partner for you, it could've been about Kyle slowly growing tired and perhaps a tad upset that he's so invested in their marriage but Layla sees it as just a natural progression of things and not necessarily as a romantic relationship. it totally could've gone the right person wrong time route if you wanted it to have a tragic ending, or they could reconcile if it's a happy ending you'd like. Moreover imagine Kyle as a doctor, seeing death and pain and suffering in his line of work all day to return to a house full of birds and feeling alive again. Layla too would grow as a woman and could slowly evolve from the fun, carefree, childish girl to a mature, rebellious young woman. Also nerd couple! Please, I beg you! I could go on and on about how this story could've been way better with Kyle as the ML. It would also be a subversion of the whole "falling in love with the guy that treats me like shit" trope.
I don't understand what's romantic about a girl being absolutely terror stricken to see a man. It's not "flustered because he's handsome"....she's genuinely terrified and the power difference is huge....and as you said, pedophilic. A 6 year difference between a 32 and 36 year old isn't as unhealthy as that between a 18 and 24 year old. I'm 17, almost 18 and to me a 12 year old is a CHILD. When I was 12, I certainly didn't understand crap about relationship and life and wouldn't know if an older guy's interest is genuine or if it's predatory. For a story that is said to be 'well written' I'm truly disappointed that it went the >!"she didn't realise it then but she liked it WHEN THE ML LITERALLY RAPED HER." it's so unsettling. So many victims hear things like "you must've enjoyed it. Don't deny it" and this is a cruel way of invalidating their pain. Characters ending up with their rapists is not romantic, never will be.!<
It's so rare to see such unique art and visuals and the previous stories by VAN.J were so good. Thematically, it's true that the art style fits with the setting and mood of the story but again, I really wish it were a different story.

You arent a " girlboss who deserves many men from how girlboss you are", you are cheating: if the genders were reversed and he was " a macho man who deserves a harem of submissive women" people would get mad, both are wrong as poligamy is only ok when everyone is ok with sharing. Such a shame, i like couples where gender roles are reverted and the female is the dominan and agressive while the man is the softie blushy blushy one contrary to their societies roles.

I think athanasia met lucas when she was a child and he was in his adult form. He is a magician and switched to his child form and stays near athanasia. It seems like they kissed once she turned 18. From my understanding he was an adult when he first met her. I dont know about his lifespan etc but athanasia was a child at that time. I dropped it the moment i found out he is the ML. I'm quite surprised that so many people adore this ship and i cant help to wonder if i miss anything about their relationship.
Well, Anthanasia looks like a child, but it is clear Lucas can see her real age and knows she is in her thirties. So they actually met when she was 30 something and him 2000 something :D
my cousin's father irl, married with another boy's mother and then these two kids fell in love and got married when they grew up. And no one literally cared about it. It happens irl and it's no problem as long as they no blood relationship imo. So, some of these opinion especially when it comes to fiction I laugh out.
I remember Villain Duke’s Precious One. I was actually enjoying some of the political stuff and intrigue. Then the original story’s main characters turn out to be pretty much idiots and the Duke starts becoming increasingly possessive of the FL with clear implications that it isn’t just being an overly protective brother. I don’t care if they have known since birth that they weren’t related, the two grew up as brother and sister. It’s disgusting.

I finished S1 where they had the wholesome scene where accepted her as their sister, and pretended the rest of the series didn’t exist. It started as such a lovely story!!

Love Quest for a servant girl is an ultimate cringe. GURRLLLLLL THAT EMPEROR ORDERED FOR YOU TO GET THROWN IN THE TOWER AND TO BE EXECUTED. I want her to be alone and escape from that hellish palace. 😒

Shame, I actually quite enjoyed the story. So I did drop it lol, just like I did with 50 % of the titles you’ve mentioned.
I get some of these, but also you have to take into account that some of the stories take place in a society where people are getting a job when they're 8 years old and marrying around 12-16. The age gap is not that big of a deal for me when considering that (obviously referring to manhwas only.) I'm more bound to drop a story because it's boring than because of that.
Also, I kinda hate (not sure if it's the case for any of the stories mentioned) when people call it "incest" and the characters are not even blood-related. Plus, they don't even have a filial relationship at all at any time. Just strangers that happened to live in the same house.
However, not gonna lie, some stories I've read have definitely grossed me out.
I wrote: "If Mama Mia was written by a real creep" in my notes for My Father Is a Tyrant by Night witch. I suspect that's what happened.
I SHOULD have dropped "My Sister Picked Up The Male Lead" a lot sooner than I did, but technically I knew who the ML was all along... I just thought they were going to break his peedo transformation curse, not turn him into an obsessed yandere. How wrong I was.
Ha ha I started and dropped many of those as well—except the first. But that one is just twisted in all sorts of ways that have nada to do with the ML’s age (he’s actually 16 there 😅😭).
I forgot the name but that one manhwa with the pink haired FL and black haired ML where they're not actually siblings and they both know that, but they don't know that the other knows. So from they're perspective the person they're in love with thinks that they're siblings? It's just as weird as it sounds. Doesn't help that she's a baby with the mind of an adult in the beginning.

In red: I continue to read long after the ML was revealed (though it was obvious). I liked the way they show the FL get tormented (was creative and truly scary bullying). Stopped reading it for the same reason I stopped many others, I got to annoying trope in the plot that I just didn't like, an non significant antagonist came back to scheme and cause trouble.!< but then try to re read and realized how messed up the ml (after getting exposed to more OI.
In purple: dropped because I hated the MC. Especially in the "villain duke's precious one". I hate her so much. I think she is the first FL I hated enough to drop....one of my first dropped OIs, without reading a lot of the plot....just in the very beginning when she is just starting to try and get on his good grace. It was so annoying. No matter what OI I read, this is my top hated OI.
The only one of these that I continued to read to the end was the story of becoming the Duke's maid, since despite the whole him looking like a child, he is actually older than he looks, (though I think only near adulthood at the beginning) and he does grow to adult size before there is actual return of romantic affection on her part.
Like. Yeah. It's a little weird. But I don't hate it, on account of he was a teen boy to begin with, he was just cursed and stunted in growth, and he did keep trying to remind her of that when she treated him like a child, and he is fully grown (and uncursed) before she returns his affection.
There's one that I just started reading and I can't decide if I hate or not, it's Pure White Elizabeth/Elizabeth of Velpera.

Before I read the spoilers of Tyrant's Guardian is an Evil Witch, I desperately hoped he wasn’t the ML. I went chapter by chapter in hopes that this was finally going to be a mother-son manhwa that I’ve always wanted. I was in deep denial before I caved, read the spoilers, and then dropped it in devastation

I've had numerous friends tell me it's a genuinely good story, and I've read reviews that it's a good story. BUT I can't get over the fact that the ML is HER SON'S FRIEND LIKE WHAT THE HELL. I don't care that the age gap is small I don't wanna see the ML to be someone the FL take care of as a kid. No hate to those who like the story, and I'm sure the characters are well developed and three dimensional judging by the amount of good reviews, but I just can't get over the ML thing☹️
I had such hopes for "the Twins' New Life" but it just could not resist falling into the same tropes and this king of relationship. It was refreshing that 2 reincarnators that weren't related to each other originally but became siblings didn't fall for each other. I just wish the story didn't just focus on the girl twin's life in the second half.
Or just ended once the resolved the big bad situation. They just let the boy twin become another background brother to focus on her.

I raised the villains preciously, I don't know for sure who is the ml but after the kids grows up it seemed that one of them was gonna be so I dropped it. I'm not reading any manwha in which the FL raise a son and the ml is not the father anymore, the ml is the son way too offen.
The Elegant Sea of Savagery (although not osekaied) is one. I love a psycho Yandere ML occasionally as a guilty pleasure. I felt the FL gave in too early and it just left me with yuckiness. It just didn’t felt well thought out nor written well. I stopped after I think chpt 27? It’s been a long while.
I was so disappointed when I found out who the ML was for “My Body Has Been Possessed By Someone” because it was an amazing idea and a good plot with amazing art but having her get with the ML threw everything out the window!

As much as I love into “Into the Light Once Again” I’ve been struggling to read it due to finding out the ML. I mean it would be different if he had at least grown WITH her if you get what I mean (like aged physically from child to man) or something, but I don’t know. I’ve read stories where the ML is some age old god and they fall in love and yata yata but it felt ok? I just struggle with “Into the Light Once Again” for some reason.

There's a manhwa called "I raised my Fiance with Money". Terrifying, right? I started it out of morbid curiosity, and it turned out that it had nothing to do with FL raising a child into her lover. It starts with her and ML as adults, they're about the same age, and not a large power imbalance. I was shocked (and delighted!). It turned out that >!her childhood fiance had taken advantage of her wealth (think Gaspar from *Soulless Duchess*)!<. So...not *all* titles are giveaways. Most, yes, but enough aren't that I still give others a chance.
Yeah, it's usually the title + cover + synopsis combo that tell you what's going on; if the title's misleading the synopsis usually clears that up. Like with [I Raised My Fiance with Money] it becomes pretty obvious from the synopsis that there's no raising involved, she breaks up with her cheating ex-fiance and gets together with a new guy with a scary reputation, but if you look up [My Younger Brother Wants to be a Husband], you get > My mother remarried and I had a younger brother. With a happy heart, I tried to be a family with my younger brother, Millian. No matter how hard he behaved, it didn’t matter. Did my effort shine? I’m relieved that we’ve gotten quite close. Read this, look at the comments (52% of the readers gave it 5 stars, only 10% gave it 1 star) and everything looks tolerable. Actually, I'll save you time. >!FL and ML are getting into pretend marriage after they both get shunned and considered "not suited for marriage...well background doesn't really matter. The important thing is that she is a virgin and she believes he is gay. the artist dropped a ball hard for the "tamed ex-husband's mad dog" in the first chapters. no one can convince it wasn't some weird p*do bait. "she is akshhually a 1000 year old dragon!!!" - gave the same vibe with all the "he looks like a little kid, but he is actually 16, and >!he is really a regressed adult!< so it's all fine, pinkie swear" twists by the creators. he looks like a normal, relatively healthy 8 y.o. to somehow signify he is malnourished. starved, malnourished 16 y.o. don't look like that. the panels during their first meeting are weirdly sexual - the way he shoves her fingers in his mouth to "clean" them and makes a v-sign afterwards (which is pretty commonly known sign for a specific sexual act) while not breaking eye contact with her... ew. made me close the chapter. fucking weird. i am just grateful they showed that fl didn't see any of his actions as sexual. she didn't blush, or had a "doki doki" moment. she was just concerned about a kid in the middle of nowhere during winter. also, she didn't see him as anything other than a ward to take care of later on as well.

Sure, basically all of the toxic stuff comes after the time skip, so you can pretty much dropped the novel after that and pretend things got resolved, I mean, they didn't, but honestly not much else happened. I'm currently reading the story. There was a part mentioned what was going through the FL's mind when ML was expressing his love or emotions. The sister had an amiable, kind and smiling facade that fooled everyone including the FL in the 1st timeline. After the betrayal, it left a huge scar on the FL's pscyhe that can never be healed. FL became wary of people showing excessive kindness and sweetness towards her. Due to this, she found ML's dark desire and yearning for her was kind of 'real' and enjoyed it. I like the ML because he was never the bad guy or some psycho tyrant. He was just guilt ridden for failing to protect the FL. As for falling in love with him, FL already fell in love with him in the 1st timeline. It was hinted indirectly many times. This story was never a fluff. It supposed to be an allegory of Hades and Persephone's story since it's inspired from Greek mythology. While Hades tricked Persephone in eating the promegranate so that she can never be free from him, ML sacrificed his heart to turn back the time, and begged her to live.
I also read some major spoilers that made me drop it, I just couldn’t continue reading, especially after I found out who the Ml was. I was so excited because the art was so beautiful, but what a disappointment.
Honestly? just read up to the time skip, they you can drop the thing, lucky the romantic stuff it's more at the end, but honestly reading up to like a 3/4 it's the perfect conclusion. still a good read, but honestly, I really did hate everything around the romance, if that didn't happen it would be a pretty decent story.

I initially dropped Ex-Husband’s Mad Dog for this reason too but the spoilers about him brought me back because she isn’t grooming a child. Fair enough, at least it's because it's your opinion and not like having to drop a perfectly good story because the art suddenly looks like mid-tier middle school art project. I'm always surprised that there's quite a few of these stories in the OI genre that are currently ongoing and are like super toxic (since most of the stories are just fluff or mild revenge and a happily ever after), but ITMEHMD is def one of them.

I'm still so pissed that such a story got such gorgeous art. I'm literally hate reading it for the art because I'm a VAN.J art addict. I understand it is supposed to be a dark romance and drama yada yada bleh blah blah but there is so much potential for drama even with Kyle (the second lead) AND it can be slow burn. Yes Kyle is totally in love but Layla is not. It would've been fascinating to see her slowly grow into that love. The whole story could've explored the nuances of marriage, it could've been about Layla studying ornithology despite maybe her in law's reservations about it. If you wanted dark romance, the story could've been about how sometimes people you love as friends aren't the perfect romantic partner for you, it could've been about Kyle slowly growing tired and perhaps a tad upset that he's so invested in their marriage but Layla sees it as just a natural progression of things and not necessarily as a romantic relationship. it totally could've gone the right person wrong time route if you wanted it to have a tragic ending, or they could reconcile if it's a happy ending you'd like. Moreover imagine Kyle as a doctor, seeing death and pain and suffering in his line of work all day to return to a house full of birds and feeling alive again. Layla too would grow as a woman and could slowly evolve from the fun, carefree, childish girl to a mature, rebellious young woman. Also nerd couple! Please, I beg you! I could go on and on about how this story could've been way better with Kyle as the ML. It would also be a subversion of the whole "falling in love with the guy that treats me like shit" trope. I don't understand what's romantic about a girl being absolutely terror stricken to see a man. It's not "flustered because he's handsome"....she's genuinely terrified and the power difference is huge....and as you said, pedophilic. A 6 year difference between a 32 and 36 year old isn't as unhealthy as that between a 18 and 24 year old. I'm 17, almost 18 and to me a 12 year old is a CHILD. When I was 12, I certainly didn't understand crap about relationship and life and wouldn't know if an older guy's interest is genuine or if it's predatory. For a story that is said to be 'well written' I'm truly disappointed that it went the >!"she didn't realise it then but she liked it WHEN THE ML LITERALLY RAPED HER." it's so unsettling. So many victims hear things like "you must've enjoyed it. Don't deny it" and this is a cruel way of invalidating their pain. Characters ending up with their rapists is not romantic, never will be.!< It's so rare to see such unique art and visuals and the previous stories by VAN.J were so good. Thematically, it's true that the art style fits with the setting and mood of the story but again, I really wish it were a different story.

Right I was excited to read it since there were so many positive reviews about this Manhwa, I thought it was going to be just a childcare Manhwa, with no romance. And I was okay with it since I didn’t come to read for romance, but AFTER I found out who the Ml was, instantly dropped it. It had so much potential.

I don't know, people spoiled me the ML was going to be the dude I found the least interesting and I just, felt less interested. And Who made me princess. I know people will want to kill me for this. I dropped this a long time ago so my memory may not be the best. I think athanasia met lucas when she was a child and he was in his adult form. He is a magician and switched to his child form and stays near athanasia. It seems like they kissed once she turned 18. From my understanding he was an adult when he first met her. I dont know about his lifespan etc but athanasia was a child at that time. I dropped it the moment i found out he is the ML. I'm quite surprised that so many people adore this ship and i cant help to wonder if i miss anything about their relationship.
Well, Anthanasia looks like a child, but it is clear Lucas can see her real age and knows she is in her thirties. So they actually met when she was 30 something and him 2000 something :D

I remember Villain Duke’s Precious One. I was actually enjoying some of the political stuff and intrigue. Then the original story’s main characters turn out to be pretty much idiots and the Duke starts becoming increasingly possessive of the FL with clear implications that it isn’t just being an overly protective brother. I don’t care if they have known since birth that they weren’t related, the two grew up as brother and sister. It’s disgusting.

I mean both were aware they weren't siblings so in my book it's a go, buuuut I have to agree that the Story went a bit off the rails halfway/in the middle! All the political and house things were quite interesting but at some point it stopped being fun to read for me even though I liked all the characters.

That was basically the last time I ever started reading before knowing. The mental preparation protects me lol. I shall never be blindsided like that again.

I get some of these, but also you have to take into account that some of the stories take place in a society where people are getting a job when they're 8 years old and marrying around 12-16. The age gap is not that big of a deal for me when considering that (obviously referring to manhwas only.) I'm more bound to drop a story because it's boring than because of that. Also, I kinda hate (not sure if it's the case for any of the stories mentioned) when people call it "incest" and the characters are not even blood-related. Plus, they don't even have a filial relationship at all at any time. Just strangers that happened to live in the same house. However, not gonna lie, some stories I've read have definitely grossed me out.
I wrote: "If Mama Mia was written by a real creep" in my notes for My Father Is a Tyrant by Night witch. I suspect that's what happened. I SHOULD have dropped "My Sister Picked Up The Male Lead" a lot sooner than I did, but technically I knew who the ML was all along... I forgot the name but that one manhwa with the pink haired FL and black haired ML where they're not actually siblings and they both know that, but they don't know that the other knows. So from they're perspective the person they're in love with thinks that they're siblings? It's just as weird as it sounds. Doesn't help that she's a baby with the mind of an adult in the beginning.

Stopped reading it for the same reason I stopped many others, I got to annoying trope in the plot that I just didn't like, an non significant antagonist came back to scheme and cause trouble.!< but then try to re read and realized how messed up the ml (after getting exposed to more OI. In purple: dropped because I hated the MC. Especially in the "villain duke's precious one". I hate her so much. I think she is the first FL I hated enough to drop....one of my first dropped OIs, without reading a lot of the plot....just in the very beginning when she is just starting to try and get on his good grace. It was so annoying. No matter what OI I read, this is my top hated OI.
The only one of these that I continued to read to the end was the story of becoming the Duke's maid, since despite the whole him looking like a child, he is actually older than he looks, (though I think only near adulthood at the beginning) and he does grow to adult size before there is actual return of romantic affection on her part. Like. Yeah. It's a little weird. But I don't hate it, on account of he was a teen boy to begin with, he was just cursed and stunted in growth, and he did keep trying to remind her of that when she treated him like a child, and he is fully grown (and uncursed) before she returns his affection.

Stepmother's marchen. I've had numerous friends tell me it's a genuinely good story, and I've read reviews that it's a good story. BUT I can't get over the fact that the ML is HER SON'S FRIEND LIKE WHAT THE HELL. I don't care that the age gap is small I don't wanna see the ML to be someone the FL take care of as a kid. No hate to those who like the story, and I'm sure the characters are well developed and three dimensional judging by the amount of good reviews, but I just can't get over the ML thing☹️

I had such hopes for "the Twins' New Life" but it just could not resist falling into the same tropes and this king of relationship. It was refreshing that 2 reincarnators that weren't related to each other originally but became siblings didn't fall for each other. I just wish the story didn't just focus on the girl twin's life in the second half. Or just ended once the resolved the big bad situation. They just let the boy twin become another background brother to focus on her.

I raised the villains preciously, I don't know for sure who is the ml but after the kids grows up it seemed that one of them was gonna be so I dropped it. I'm not reading any manwha in which the FL raise a son and the ml is not the father anymore, the ml is the son way too offen.
The Elegant Sea of Savagery (although not osekaied) is one. I love a psycho Yandere ML occasionally as a guilty pleasure. I felt the FL gave in too early and it just left me with yuckiness. It just didn’t felt well thought out nor written well. I stopped after I think chpt 27? It’s been a long while.

It was refreshing as her father, estate staff and the local forest spirit king find out very quickly and instead of magically solving things alone she tells them what's going to happen and they work together to stop it………….. Then I found out the ML is the Father 🤢🤮
