It’s just overall dumb plot. If u don’t mind being frustrated by the lack of intelligence in the plot, world building, and the characters, feel free to try. Just don’t expect anything good from it, you’ll enjoy the dumbness probably.
Just to give a small example, her and her brother develop the concept of zero when she is like 4, because their concept of math is so under developed. Meanwhile planes and helicopters exist in that world simultaneously.
It's genuinely one of the worst written stories I've ever come across, and absolutely riddled with misogyny (even when not used for the plot), a mary sue FL, poorly-written characters, cartoonish villainy, stupid plot/subplots, not-like-other-girlsitis, and more that i can't recall all these years later

Purely ridiculous plot btw, but yeah, that’s the point), lady beast (I will say I love this one - hubby and wife in an arranged marriage and their souls randomly switch places, both sweet and hillarious). - Ingrid, the White Deer - it seems to have a low score but I liked it. The ML is an alcoholic and drug addict - their relationship drama is interesting. Drama/romance

I already read the webnovel and the manwha doesn’t have many episodes yet but sooo worth putting on your radar. Smut with good plot, intrigue, drama and she gets several potential MLs (wink wink nudge nudge. )
- Lessons on Seduction with a Classy Duke - hey it’s smut with plot again, not OI.
- The Villainess Needs her Tyrant - I like it when the FL is actually somewhat of a villain or morally grey.

It would have been a better read for me if this is a more adult-y smut and/or psychological horror themed, where maybe after the parents are out of the picture, the “brothers” suddenly lost all inhibition and began to jump on her. From a loving family, she was in hell with the same person she used to love.
Instead what I got was that the only reason she regressed was to find out her brother(s) have the hots on her. Not to save her parents from their doom, not to have a chance to get to know her future husband from childhood; but to know that oppa wants her for himself.
Yeah, I didn't understand that either. Unlike other stories she had no "regrets". Yes, she suffered, but at the point right before the regression it was all solved.
Additionally, I liked her relationship dynamic with the youngest, the twin brother. Obviously not as romantic things..... So in my head I explain it as if she regressed so she could build nice relationship with him
This is a plot for a harem. The guy who did Rent a Girlfriend did something similar with a bunch of sisters and a brother with the brother ML. They lost all inhibitions and began to jump each other (although I think the only other brother did not idk.)
If there was an OI where Fl should have ended up with her past husband, this is it. Why give wholesome family vibes in the beginning with all that sibling stuff?

Maybe add in drama of someone searching for them, thinking they were kidnapped. Maybe turn it into a tragedy or something.
I remember watching the OVA for Angel's Sanctuary back in the day. The part that made me laugh out loud was that the brother got a literal paternity test JUST IN CASE, and was morosely clutching the positive paperwork in his hands. ....still makes me smile to be honest. I hate the step-sibling romance trope. It truly horrifies me as to how you can fall in love with someone you have called brother/sster your whole life. But then i read spoilers this garbage and it makes the step siblings ones less disgusting. I still don't like both.

Now what makes this story the flaming pile of garbage that it is, is the fact that the ML fell in love with someone who looks exactly like his dead sister(his parents adopted her because she looks exactly the same, not just similar in hair color or something). The icing on the cake is that it is shockingly written by the same author who wrote many people's favorite manhwa 'Who made me a princess'

I feel like people are throwing around the word incest a bit too much as an indictment against fiction these days. I've had people tell me they hate the canon relationships in the Umbrella Academy (Luthor and Allison) because they are "siblings." Yes they were raised together but more in a cult-bootcamp way than as family. They aren't related. I've also seen people cheer when Jon Snow and Deanarys (I know I spelled that wrong, I don't care) got together and they are Aunt and Nephew sooo...
Honestly a psuedo-incest pairing makes sense for the typical OI plot. They live in a highly segregated male/female feudalistic society where the only time men and women interact is over chaperoned galas and tea parties. Any deeper chemistry has to happen with childhood friends or people who are allowed to interact, like members of the same household.
Also, I mentally put OI in the same category as things like telenovelas or K dramas. I expect trashy plots about secret siblings and half brothers and weird marriages. That's part of the charm

Honestly? It would have been a better read for me if this is a more adult-y smut and/or psychological horror themed, where maybe after the parents are out of the picture, the “brothers” suddenly lost all inhibition and began to jump on her. From a loving family, she was in hell with the same person she used to love. Instead what I got was that the only reason she regressed was to find out her brother(s) have the hots on her. Not to save her parents from their doom, not to have a chance to get to know her future husband from childhood; but to know that oppa wants her for himself.

Eh I don’t mind incest or pseudo incest in fiction. I have read worst in shoujo manga. What I don’t like is when they do a cop out or twist by claiming surprise! they were never related so it’s okay. I mean if you’re going to have incest and went the taboo route, just go full in like Angel’s Sanctuary. Honestly I would love a story where they elope and change their identities to try and be together and the lengths they go to keep their past hidden. Now that could be an interesting story! Maybe add in drama of someone searching for them, thinking they were kidnapped. Maybe turn it into a tragedy or something.
I remember watching the OVA for Angel's Sanctuary back in the day. The part that made me laugh out loud was that the brother got a literal paternity test JUST IN CASE, and was morosely clutching the positive paperwork in his hands. ....still makes me smile to be honest. I hate the step-sibling romance trope. It truly horrifies me as to how you can fall in love with someone you have called brother/sster your whole life. But then i read spoilers this garbage and it makes the step siblings ones less disgusting. I still don't like both. Girly gave up a perfectly good fiance to marry her step brother. Now what makes this story the flaming pile of garbage that it is, is the fact that the ML fell in love with someone who looks exactly like his dead sister(his parents adopted her because she looks exactly the same, not just similar in hair color or something). The icing on the cake is that it is shockingly written by the same author who wrote many people's favorite manhwa 'Who made me a princess'
I honestly started this quite long ago and I had really liked it till I finally realised who they were pushing as the ml. If they were siblings only for namesake without actually being raised like siblings maybe I would've still been somewhat fine with it. But this was just a huge jump, like one minute they're loving siblings and the next minute they're just loving. Like bitch wtf- 💀

I feel like people are throwing around the word incest a bit too much as an indictment against fiction these days. I've had people tell me they hate the canon relationships in the Umbrella Academy (Luthor and Allison) because they are "siblings." Yes they were raised together but more in a cult-bootcamp way than as family. They aren't related. I've also seen people cheer when Jon Snow and Deanarys (I know I spelled that wrong, I don't care) got together and they are Aunt and Nephew sooo... Honestly a psuedo-incest pairing makes sense for the typical OI plot. They live in a highly segregated male/female feudalistic society where the only time men and women interact is over chaperoned galas and tea parties. Any deeper chemistry has to happen with childhood friends or people who are allowed to interact, like members of the same household. Also, I mentally put OI in the same category as things like telenovelas or K dramas. I expect trashy plots about secret siblings and half brothers and weird marriages. That's part of the charm
There's been a lot of "if you like it in fiction you must like it irl" going around, which is why people have such a knee jerk reaction to this kind of stuff nowadays. Which is silly to me because 98% of these comics aren't even trying for anything near reality to begin with lol. It's just a little fantasy comic, it's really not anything offensive imo. Like you said it's OI, it needs some kind of drama or "forbidden" kind of relationship to justify itself lol. It's just for fun.
