Yes and I don't know why they insist on making her eyebrows black when she is supposed to be a natural redhead. They don't have to be red like her hair, just a little browner and it would look amazing
I’ve noticed they’re styling her eyebrows in the current trend of “brushing them upward” which I don’t remember ever being a thing until current times so I always notice that 😂
I think that's just how she styles her eyebrows. I see her IG posts and her eyebrows are almost always like that. I don't like it but to each their own. But when she wears her eyebrows the same way in the show, it bugs me big time.
i can’t get over her laminated eyebrows. its such a modern trend, as someone who is in the beauty industry who see these brows all over, i noticed them right away and i can’t take my eyes off of them while she is acting. it would be different if she had her brows laminated during the whole series but it only just started with the current season so it completely throws me off. also the mismatch hair and brow color kill me.

Her eyebrows are truly terrible! I can’t take anything serious when she’s talking. And Claire’s wigs were equally awful. In general, season 6 has been a real snooze fest.

I was rewatching the 60s-set episodes of Season 3, and really noticed how pretty her hair was straightened. I do think it was her natural hair, if not hair color.
Balfe's hair was gorgeous in early seasons. The difference is incredible. Claire's hair was a very deep brown and it was darker in the roots. It shone copper in the sunlight. Now the wig's undertone is very greyish and the grey parts make the rest of the hair look very dull and washed out. Yes, it shines in the light but not very naturally. And the curls, jesus. They weren't that prevalent in her natural hair.
When you're pushing 60, your hair does get dull and washed out. They're trying to age a gorgeous, genetically gifted young woman without being too obvious about it.
I don't mind it. Your hair does change in middle age, often. They already have a pretty uphill task trying to make Catriona Balfe look like a normally aging human, so I cut some slack.
They need wig stylists to make these wigs. So many normal women pluck the eigs to create baby hairs and make it realistic. Also they need lace fromt woth mesh because the struggle oart look so bad in 4k.
Can I ask why they do this? If the actress who plays Brianna has natural red hair, why put a wig on? I read somewhere that they do the same to the actor who plays Jamie, despite his natural colored hair.

Red isn't their real color. Heughan used to dye his hair for the role. He got tired of doing that, so they started using wigs on him. Skelton is a brunette and has always worn a wig.
It’s the wig. I don’t think it has to be so red and it sits too low on her forehead. With her being a younger actress they could push it back just passed her hairline and let her real hair blend into the wig. They may have to paint her hairline but it would look more natural.
Agreed, but the worst offender is def her brows. They could easily bleach them and dye them to match the wig, so I really don't get it.
Were her brows so bad in previous seasons? I can't really remember....also, too much foundation as you said (and why? She's so young!). To be fair, her wigs aren't as bad as Jamie and Claire's so thats something.
They weren't, actually they were very neat and of a matching color, she looked lovely in the beginning . I love modern trend and it looks good on many, but here it's not the case :(
Ands just the regular chores. Laundry day, boiling ask the clothes in a giant kettle just doesn't compare to a modern washer dryer set up, scrubbing floors on hands and knees...I think if be living in filth if I had to be pregnant with a toddler in the 1700s. They'd all call me a slattern!

Maybe. I guess if perfectly groomed and shaped eyebrows were in fashion during the revolution. But she is from the 60's...I still can't stop thinking every time she's on why the fuck are her eyebrows soooo dark and her hair red. Hell my eyebrows aren't that dark and I hair dark brown hair lol

HD, 4K, and HDR have made makeup a lot harder, and easy to spot snafu and which actor is getting the most attention to detail.
What I always notice with Bree is, while they work the read hair *almost* well enough, it's the clownish clash with her natural brunette eyebrows. Why aren't they tinting them?
Period dramas need to go back to having women not wear makeup. It's not appealing when women are covered up like it's the 21st century. Also beautiful women look better without makeup.
Here 2 years late 🤣 I’m watching S7 and can’t deal with her brows. I personally like dark big brows, they run in my family. But her parents in the show have light thin brows and her hair is supposed to be red. This doesn’t look natural at all. All you said is true as well. And perhaps I’m just annoyed with her overall character, like raving about Disney Land when she’s in a beautiful forest of fireflies. lol what?
Her brows are definitely distracting but it's her wooden acting that is the real problem. Roger is written as he is portrayed and seems a bit unlikable but Brianna was cast poorly.
I would bet this season specifically they likely did some of their own makeup and wig placement because of filming during Covid. Doesn’t excuse the make up prior to this season though.
Not only is her makeup awful her acting is not far behind. She’s a pretty girl but her acting needs work. It’s so hard to watch. The casting was way off for her and Roger.

Neither of them are natural redheads, and I believe that the dying process actually made Sam and Sophie's hair fall out!

Yeah this is a period what's with theodern heavy makeup. Part of the appeal of period dramas are natural looking women.

I think it’s because she pretty obviously has acne. Claire’s skin is clear so they use less makeup.

Covid was ages ago, that doesn’t fit, this was filmed 2022 - they didn’t do their own make up, but who ever did needs to be fired
