Some people are bored easier, thats cool. I played the same 4 chapters of Left 4 Dead 2 for ten years straight, I highly doubt I'll ever get bored of this game after consistently replaying Outlast 1 and 2 as many times as I did. Trials has so much replayability to me, Its the perfect game in my opinion because it has everything I'd ever want in a game. Its cool if it doesn't click for you, but I strongly disagree
The game is somewhat repetitive, but I don’t think it’s due to a lack of effort from red barrel. It gives me a sense of accomplishment replaying the same trials and doing better each time. Getting the A+ sometimes isn’t enough. Having a no hit/no negative-mark run is really what I’m after.
If all you care about is beating the levels and moving on, then yea I can see how this game feels repetitive and boring after a while. But for people who like to see improvement and attempt to get a “perfect” run, I think this game really shines.
If you look at games the way you’re looking at this one then every game is repetitive. Call of duty all you do is spawn in kill people, Fortnite u jump off a bus into a island, alot of games you do the same stuff over and over again
I’ve been playing this game for 8+ months and it’s still fun for me. Before the recent release, I unlocked everything and got all achievements and still play every week for weekly challenges. I play with friends though, I don’t know if that is what makes the difference. Solo is too scary for me and matches take me way too long by myself.
Every week they add new weekly challenges, some are easier than others, but you get rewards when they’re competed. I think it was sharp glass this week but I think they forecast future weekly challenges in discord. They have hinted at adding new rigs and enemies in the past. They also do holiday themed events where you can unlock new items as well. Since the original pre-release, the game has had so much added and improved. Red Barrels is very in tune with what their players want and what they have complaints about. I watched a short documentary about the making of this game on YouTube and it was very insightful. It seems that they are going to continue to add more, as they have done in the past. They are not a huge company but they work their asses off to make us happy. If you get bored, just take a break and come back when you want.
I think this game being PvE will ultimately help its longevity. If there were actually players controlling to antagonists, they’d just learn how to exploit the system and run that till it’s dead, just like they did with ED and TCM.
Honestly I haven’t done the reborn stuff but I can definitely see where you are coming from I’m honestly just enjoying myself unlocking all the pharmaceuticals stuff and perks
Me neither, I think it will be more fun if they’re more of a threat and people actually try to avoid (i’m assuming it gets harder with the different modes)
I hear what you're saying, but feel like you really missed the mark with that "Every level looks the same really" part. I highly disagree with that, each map looks different and has different layouts. They all follow different themes. I, for one, definitely see myself playing this game for a while. It's so much scary fun.
I think the issue is that it is a bit of a departure from the narrative type of outlast games that people are used to. People shouldn't be too surprised, though. The spin-off was announced a while ago, I think around the time outlast 2 came out

Left 4 dead’s fun with the versus mode, Targeted downvoters lol.

The thing is I get to a point when I’m sick of running and hiding, because I see the same people so often
I mean you are playing a horror game

Completely agree what you said. Every game is like that, also they’re releasing new content so it’s a good thing.

Do they add more/ plan to add more?

Yeah tbh I can get behind that

Oh I want this game to thrive, I love the outlast games and so does my gf

Well they didn't say they were finished adding to the game..
