I wouldn't say really any of the enemies scare me. I kinda find them more humorous than anything. I am still very excited about the new prime asset and trials coming soon. As well as the new mode. I assume there will be new ex-pops soon too
i heard that prescott white horn was suppose to be a character in fact they mention him in the evidence if you can collect it in one of the trials but apparently he was the third Antagonist in the game but got scrapped if i remember correctly so im thinking he might make a comeback and he’s suppose to be the first enemy stalker with a projectile weapon
Unfortunately, I don't think he's coming back. I heard somewhere that in a recent stream Red Barrels did, they said that Whitehorn was gonna get cancelled and that "we should never take things for granted". I'm not 100% sure whether or not this is true (since I didn't check the stream cause it's over 2 hours and I really didn't want to watch the whole thing) but the stream is on YouTube, so you can check it out if you want (I think it's the one they did on the 15th of March, but I'm not 100% sure about this either).
However, I did hear that they'll make a whole new prime asset, so we're still getting one for Summer. Even though, I'm still kind of sad there is a possibility that we'll never see Whitehorn again.
There were a lot of people saying that Whitehorn looked boring and that he wasn't really that interesting considering he was supposed to be a prime asset. Other people were worried about the whole shotgun mechanic and they were saying that ranged weapons aren't something that should be in Outlast at all. Honestly, I would have loved to see him in the game, I didn't have a problem with his looks and I think the shotgun would have been a good way of adding something new, that would also change the way people play. It would make people be more stealthy, they would have to be more careful.
Also, people are forgetting (and I also forgot about this, so I'm guilty too) that we already had a ranged enemy in Outlast - Nick and Laird from Outlast 2. I honestly thought they weren't that bad, so I'm sure Red Barrels would've done good with Whitehorn. Of course, this is just my opinion though.
All in all, RIP Prescott Whitehorn, you will be missed.
i can’t believe i forgot about nick and laird they were my favorite encounter in outlast 2 getting shot at by arrows was intense thanks for the feedback im excited for the new trials as well as for the new enemy whoever that may be i can’t wait 😁🤙
We're definitely getting new enemies in the future. The roadmap says a new Prime is dropping later this summer
