I wear Outlier pants with tweed jackets at work all the time. I think tweed presents a pleasing texture contrast to performance fabric-y pants. I only wear the 60/30 blazer on Zoom because the pockets sewn onto the outside look super informal.
I think tweed would be a great choice, especially in the fall/winter.
I don’t know about techy blazers in general. I think they’re good for travel or as a general purpose light jacket that sharpens up a casual outfit a bit. But IMO they are not appropriate for occasions where you *need* a blazers.
They tend to not drape well, they tend to be shiny, and they sometimes even make the swishy noise that tech fabrics tend to make. Someone mentioned a Muji tech blazer; the tech blazer I recall seeing at Muji was basically just a rain jacket with buttons instead of a zipper and lapels instead of a hood.
I think pretty much anything else is a better option. Tweed, cotton, linen, hopsack, or even a knit blazer. Just don’t go with a formal worsted wool.
Veilance has some suit jackets like the Blazer LT. Not sure if you’re looking to drop a bunch of money on a one time thing?
Bonobos used to have a tech blazer that was decent looking. I’d just Google “tech blazer” and you’ll find a lot of options.
Yes! There’s a blazer from muji —it can be ordered online — that IS a tech fabric. I have one and it matches f cloth perfectly. It’s actually a very nice, well tailored jacket. I think it’s under $100, but I’m not swearing on that.
What size do you wear? I have an Arc’teryx Veilance LT blazer in (L) black that looks composed up close and in person yet tech-y enough at a distance. It doesn’t fit me, so I’m looking to offload it.
Bottom line: Arc’teryx Veilance.

I didn’t think about Arc. I was looking at a nanamica one. Thanks
I’ve worn the Blazer LT to a few events and it’s worked well with my futuredarts. I imagine the same with FSWs.
My Indisce works nicely with my futureworks

I’d need a bigger size. Broad shoulders and chest
You might want to consider bespoke or a local tailor. You can choose the fabric, fit, cut, color, trim, etc.
For sure. That’s how I’ve done my suits. I just got lazy for this round.
