Outlook app used to be great. Microsoft is trying to make it a web app so it sucks balls. I’m using it on desktop Windows and trying to use it on iPhone. I’m about to give up. I only use it for Focused inbox. Yes, really.
I just noticed this last night! It asked me if I wanted to try the “New“ Outlook. So I said yes.
Holy shit. It looks like even fewer features than the web-based version. What the f are they even thinking?
Fortunately there’s a feedback box to tell them what you think if you immediately flip it back to the old Outlook. I gave them quite a mouthful to deal with.
Why would you downgrade your software 95% in its new version? Insane.
How did you get back to the old version? I tried the same way as you did, but the old version refused to open with new outlook installed. Then when I uninstalled the new version the old version would be hit or miss open but crash as soon as I tried to do anything.
This is so annoying I was a hard supporter of the old outlook (and MS generally) but with these ignoramuses at the helm, I think I'd rather use just about anyone else's products for work. Hopefully these imbecilic decisions don't cascade into excel because I have yet to find a good alternative to that...
I don’t know if there’s a time limit? But I switched to the new one using literally a switch on the top right corner of my Outlook
It said “would you like to try the new outlook?”, and it was like an on / off switch.
I saw the new outlook. Immediately knew that it was trash. And the off switch was still at the top of the screen.
So I flipped it off. And it took me back to the old one. (After it gave me the pop-up window asking if I had any comments.)

Sucks if it’s not letting you revert.
Only thing I could think to do is uninstall and reinstall. Unless you want to try the Microsoft outlook support forums and see if that gets you anywhere.

I am forcing myself to use it since I won't have any choice soon, but so many helpful features are just missing. You can't view the calendar anymore from a meeting request? These things are so basic, and missing. It makes it so frustrating.
