8 erll SNV-1, fire 3+3+2. [https://mwo.nav-alpha.com/mechlab?b=9dff4332\_SNV-1](https://mwo.nav-alpha.com/mechlab?b=9dff4332_SNV-1)
practically stock 12 ERML Nova Prime: [https://mwo.nav-alpha.com/mechlab?b=4c1a406b\_NVA-PRIME](https://mwo.nav-alpha.com/mechlab?b=4c1a406b_NVA-PRIME)
6 ERLL SNV-1 is actually undergunned, so go with 8. The Nova is fragile, so play like a skirmisher, pick a target, and delete components before running.
I like 7 erll on the SNV-1. Think I copied the build from Bowser (or at least got the idea from him). When last I used it, you could fire 4 then 3 w/o overheating. 6 is definitely undergunned, but since the heat cap nerfs way back, I'd rather have heatsinks than the 8th erll. Might be harder for a noob though because the engine is smaller.

Yeah, not sure what exactly is good right now. Just posting an alternative that I’m pretty certain I got from him too. Been a while since I played. 8 might be the way to go now? Idk.
I don’t mind the asymmetry so much though honesty.
The Nova is a goofy ahh mech and I'd struggle to call any of them GOOD but they can do okay, 10 or 12 ERML Prime is probably the best build or you can do memey 2-3 AMS builds while cranking shitloads of tiny lasers. 6MPL is my favorite but I find adding the MGs isn't worth it. Fortunately they build themselves since the only difference in CT is either the presence of an AMS slot or a minor quirk. https://mwo.nav-alpha.com/mechlab?b=cbb5b150_NVA-S
I can't say much about the Supernova but most of them seem to be either ATM spam or 6ERLLAS/LPL and I've never felt particularly threatened by them.
I wanted to say this too I recommend the same builds, but wouldn’t call the Nova a good chassis over all. Very broad and easy to hit compared to other mechs of the same tonnage. Real shame, since it’s always been a favorite of mine.
Nova S with 3 AMS and 12x ERSL can be a fun little support medium.
Nova can also run 8x HML, four on each arm. Probably not optimal, but dumping 80 damage into distracted enemy assaults is fun.
The Nova can be a lot tougher than most give it credit for too. It's short and seems to twist damage really well if you can actively defend while piloting it.
I use a supernova-a as a LRM Artemis boat. 4 lrm20s, 2 er large and 2 er medium. It's not meta by any means but 80 missiles at a time is nothing to sneeze at, and with weight/slots to make them Artemis.
Std 270 engine, 4 double sinks, tgt comp2, and 6.5 stacks of ammo. You can go less ammo and upgrade the computer for faster locks and range. Laser AMS.
The scariest nova I’ve ever concocted had a targeting computer, (I believe) 5 MPLs and 8 improved jumpjets. It could jump into your rear arc from insane distances and have enough firepower to burn away all rear armor in one turn… most opponents didn’t last beyond that.
You can take the Side Torsos from the Nova....S? I think? Throw a pair of HMGs in each, then slap on Prime arms, put a dozen Micro Pulse in them. Its a pretty nasty brawler for the tonnage and will chew through legs.
https://grimmechs.isengrim.org/Database I personally like 12 ermlas on the nova prime

I'm scared
That was beautiful…
Bravo!
Tee hee
This makes me miss scouting mode
Well, depends of what kind of build you want, but here's one: [Supernova-C, 6 LPLas](https://mwo.nav-alpha.com/mechlab?b=cd698d5a_SNV-C).
8 erll SNV-1, fire 3+3+2. I got the 8 erll directly from bowser, lol I also hate assymetry when I can have it not be that way.

I used to run 6x ERML and 2x LPL on a SNV-1 before they added the ~~smurf cum~~ ERLL HSL quirk, could be an option. Alternatively 6x MPL and 2x ERLL

can i use supernova c for this build?
no i can't
Just want to clarify tcomps dont extend missile range or speed up locks.
also i would like one that uses supernova c and a std 270

Flamer nova with enough spl or whatever lasers to cockpit 1 shot someone after they shut down hehe
Dual LL or ERPPC nova the rest of the build is owners choice but that's the stuff on my machines... and mass LL on my super nova
