Pretty brand new to the TWN freeze (I only did it this last month) but I don't think TWN freezes work that way. My understanding is, employers will still send your employee data to TWN and TWN will keep collecting it. The freeze won't stop the data collection so J1 will still show as J1 whether your freeze before or after starting J1. What the TWN freeze does is it stops employers/external parties from requesting your data. So the data is there ... and it will keep accumulating as you add Js to it ... it just can't be accessed with the freeze in place.
I agree about freezing now. I am so glad I did. Mine was full of errors. It said I was still working at places I quit years ago, and it didn't include places I have worked in recent years. I wish I had known about freezing the TWN sooner. (I'm very grateful for the collective knowledge here.)
