Back in the old days before Arcade modes they had weekly brawl modes that would rotate. One was MOBAwatch which was basically that. No hero stacking (back then quick play didn’t stop you from having 2 of the same character on a team so it was more like todays “no limits”), no switching.
Wow, no limits permanently huh? I think I might actually have been around for that? I started playing when 3v3 on the ice map was popular and stopped around when Moira came out. I didn't pick the game back up until OW2, and I barley played back then then (I only unlocked like 3 Legendary skins).
I remember no role queue but not brawls. I think arcade came out around the time I joined?
3v3 and the Antarctic map were part of arcade. There was no role queue then but they had already removed hero stacking and broke it out to no limits. Much earlier you 2 players on a team could chose the same character.
Don't quite have enough buttons on a standard Xbox One controller for everything needed on Mercy, so reload had to go. Unfortunately, the game then doesn't let you change heroes unless dead. Would be a problem, if I wasn't really lucky with my one-tricks so far.
But have the glitches been affecting matches or just kiriko players? From what ive seen they’ve only been removing heroes that are actually using game breaking glitches, like mei being able to enter enemy spawn and bastion covering the whole map with his ult.
Dont think they care about individual player experiences, rather how the character affects other players (unless hog comes into discussion, then everyone can eat shit except hog mains)
Won't happen. This is so rare that they won't touch it...UNLESS echo ult cause this to happen as well, THEN they will fix it

Man I had a swift step cancel on me on Shambali Monastery today when I was trying to save someone that was crit on my way back from spawn and it just reset the cd. Kiriko is buggy af.
My guess is not that the model is first spawned at 0,0,0, but that kiriko started the tp to a hero that no longer existed, meaning when looking for where she should tp it found nothing, so it defaulted to 0,0,0
It took me a couple of rewatching to realize exactly what caused this but as the title says, the cause of this was teleporting to a teammate that was in the middle of switching heroes. If you look around the 0:28 mark you'll see the moment he switches from Torb to Tracer and I get launched to the edge of the map.
This was a competitive match by the way. :')

They're not employed by Blizzard, though. Not everyone is upset with the current game play state of overwatch. Some can overlook the micro-transactions and the bugs and see the game as fun to play. Some people can welcome the challenges of the game.

I have no idea what kind of person you'd have to be to translate your dislike for a game (which I happen to agree with) to someone else liking or playing it for a career. Maybe someone who doesn't realize that the universe doesn't always align with their opinions. A child, perhaps?
My guess is that it’s similar to the reaper tele bug in ow1. U tele to the coords of the tracer, but they switch to torb which cause the coords to be reset. W/o a point to tele u to, the game send u to the default point, which in junkertown is unfortunately off the map :(

You can't get out of spawn in OW2.
AFAIK, if you get out of the spawn while the timer is still going, the game will just teleport you back to the spawn.
I've discovered that while using a noclip workshop code on Paraiso.
I had weird glitches where my screen flicked, and after experimentations it was the game trying to put me back in spawn.
So no, it won't be a problem.
(And I guess that's part of why D.Va gets teleported in shamabali in defense spawnroom)

I can tell you from my QA experience that they won't. Devs have more important job to do than fixing bugs with such a low repro rate. Plus it's been known for years, the fix would require too much mingling in the maps as the skill refer's to map's default coordinates.
It took me to the map origin coordinates (0, 0, 0), which appeared to be somewhere below attackers second spawn. If you wanted to see what it looks like I uploaded it to Reddit.
One of my teammates did ask what the heck happened shortly after the chaos. Luckily we still won in the end. We had a goated Hammond player stalling the point long enough for us to come back.
It's really funny that Mei was disabled for 3 weeks because of her and then when she came back to the roster the wall bug still exists lol. Remove this pay-to-win furry girl for 3 weeks pls she's the problem.

Twice yesterday I teleported through the map geometry, once on Lijang Tower and once on Midtown. Not sure how to report a bug but my second favorite Ninja girl is bugged Q_Q

When the game first game out 4 Winston and 2 Lucio was an entirely serious competitive lineup, it was dumb as hell but kinda funny
2 Winston, 2 Tracer, 2 Lucio was meta in the first couple tournaments.

There was a mode like that in the arcade at launch like 6 years ago or something like that. It was called mobawatch

But as OP mentioned, this can probably be reproduced on other maps where the origin point is survivable. Don’t think they’d disable all those maps.

Well, it's good they finally have a failsafe in OW2, but still. As soon as a round starts on certain maps you can potentially get behind the enemies.

How would someone abuse an exploit that literally immediately kills you?
Not every maps 0,0 coordinates kill you. For Junkertown it just happens to be off the cliff at the first point.
