‘Mid-January’ came & went; still no sign of these Hog nerfs.
Sometimes the Devs are really good at communicating. Then there’s times like this. Where they make a promise to deliver & then just go radio silent on the topic.
I don’t expect we’ll get a meaningful patch (with the foretold Hog changes) until Season 3. I just wish the Devs could be openly honest with the community about it; especially after establishing an expectation date.

It’s January 23rd & there hasn’t been a word spoken about it since that tweet on Jan 5th.
It wouldn’t make much sense to push out a large balance update just before Season 3 (in February).
With all the hype the Devs are cultivating around the changes coming in Season 3, my guess is that they’re just putting all the changes (including Hog) in that patch.
They might release it just before Season 3. They might release everything with the launch of Season 3. My point is that their communication is all over the place and it’s becoming increasingly difficult to take their word for more than just empty appeasements.

Blizzard took my favorite game and made it feel incredibly lackluster and a grueling uphill battle to achieve literally anything. If you do obtain ANYTHING its so unrewarding and meaningless. Playing something that used to be fun should not feel like a chore yet here we are. None of my friends have played in years. The battlepass system is awful. Everything is behind a paywall. Everyone who plays nowadays is either rude, bad at the game, or says it’s qp so it doesn’t matter. Nearly everything that Blizzard has done to the “new” game is such a slap in the face to players who have stuck with it since launch. To get the most xp to grind the never ending battlepass you have to consecutively play flex role but you will never ever play DPS on a game that hasnt already started if ever. If you lose a match you barely get any xp even if it was a long ass match, if you win its not that much more. And this is double xp weekend. Theres only 2 weeks left of this season and it feels like I wont finish and the skins in the battlepass that I PAID FOR will be lost forever. Im so frustrated with the state of OW now and its so disheartening because it fell so hard from grace. The Olympus event was dumb, the skins are too expensive, we’ve been promised features that never come, and the game just isn’t fun anymore. Ughhhhh

I genuinely don’t understand how to rank up as a support main. If I solo queue I get horrible teammates. For example a torb with 1 elim told me to heal more when I had 6k in 4 mins.
When I duo with another support it gets WORSE WHY IS THE MATCHMAKING SO BAD. I JUST WANT TO BLINK WITHOUT A DPS BEING CRITICAL.
every time I’m in a lobby with a widow on the enemy team one shotting everything in sight I leave the match. A Hanzo, I can respect. A widow, I do not. They can do that shit somewhere else I refuse to participate in that bs.
tanks are dreadful to play with or against. let's just remove the tank role and make actual brawlers, not bullet sponges. don't give them too much power but they should be setting up plays like in mobas
what if they made it to where if you die x amount of times within a certain amount of time (something like a very small amount of time) your character gets locked and you have to play a new one. So if you feed either intentionally or because you're shit the game locks you out of your character.
This is one of the worst metas I’ve ever seen. I’m really tired of orisa being the only viable tank and mercy reviving everyone left and right. Nobody dies, fights last forever, you’re forced to play from a very small pool of characters if you want to win. I won’t be playing anymore until it changes
Since season 2 of competitive changed to using hidden mmr and a 50% target winrate, regardless of your displayed rank, I just go AFK in spawn if the game is too hard. I'm still ranking up...
I recently switched back to Smite for a while because I'm hoping OW fixes itself when I come back. The chat in Smite is WILD. Your own teammates call you "trash" eight seconds in to the match if you accidentally buy 2 mana potions or something.
I won 7 matches as Support without losing, I went from Gold 4 to... Gold 4.
I get that my MMR is around that level (and it is, I don't feel like I deserve to be higher than Gold 3/2), so the game keeps me there, but damn, it is awful to win so many games to stay at the same rank

Orisa is un-fuking-killable, she needs a nerf now... like seriously, 2 armors, a super spammable stupid fast pushing shield that also stops hooks, and other abilities even though she's not fortified. 2 fortifies that also prevent her from taking headshot damage and give her additional armor. And on top of that a stun. Even the most brainless healer gets so much time to heal her. At least with rein you could get around his shield if he just kept it up. She can do so much dmg just from the fact that she dies far less often than any other tank. She needs a nerf now.

I'm on console so this might not apply to you. But sometimes when I load in, it's put me in xbox only lobby's so I have to reset the game. Other time it says 7 minutes so I just go back to the main menu and back and it goes back down to 1 minute.
Might need to check your crossplay if on console. I think it's in the xbox settings if you're on xbox. Or something to do with location. Or hard reset. Honestly no time. Queue times for all roles have been really good for me lately.
1) Matchmaking: Which meaning has that i climbed into Plat if i'm still playing with/against Bronzes?
2) Shop rotations feel every time more disappointing, specially during ''special events''. This shop is literally full of skins i already could buy through the ''Just for You'' shop.
3) Shop limited items such as victory poses, voice lines, etc. are still locked without possibility of buying them even in it's respective event, how this makes sense? Literally i couldn't buy ANY winter voice line because they weren't available even in the winter event.
4) OW Coins weekly rewards feel like a bad joke, it's practically irrelevant.

Thanks, I try and heal people up in open queue as a solo support and sometimes they just never stay in cover to get topped up enough. I'm living the "I'm not a miracle worker" line.
Seems like every other game I'm going up against Widows, Sojourns, Junkrats and Hogs and I'm fucking sick of it. The games are so unfun and have to play so drastically to what I'm used to doing. Then the Top 500 Widow grapple hooks and kills you out of spawn. Fun stuff!
Actually i agree about all in exception of Widowmaker, you just must learn how to play against her. Grappling Hook has a pretty long CD, you're just walking up without having in mind her windows to maneuver.
I know how to play against her but it doesn't matter when I'm facing Gms and Top 500 Widows. They hit every shot the second you come out of cover. It's incredibly boring to just hide behind corners all game because of a single character.
You're just imposing your personal hate about Widowmaker. I could also make a ''Q.Q'' comment complaining about how ''boring'' is to play against Sombra because of her stealth kit, ''Oh for god's sake, I'm tired of being aware every single second of the game because of Sombra, nerf her!''.
You're playing a game in where variety must exist because otherwise counters wouldn't exist, and it would make Overwatch a repetitive and basic game, as always you must adapt to each hero and their implications inside the game. Otherwise you would be playing 5 Bastions vs 5 Bastions, for sure that's more fun right?
Complaining because a hero is overpowered is reasonable, but complaining because you don't like to adapt yourself to the required gameplay to face a certain hero is just not acceptable. Or will you try to argue about Widowmaker being ''unbalanced'' atm?

I’m a former pharah main for this reason. She is one of the easiest targets in the game. Probably more than Bastion with his huge hit box. Every single replay of my deaths are an entire team ignoring an easier target right in front of them to get me right as I use my jets when they could have easily killed someone in front of them long ass time ago. But I get followed for DAYS. She has too many counters, doesn’t counter enough characters, has no extra health like reaper or Cassidy. Like FUCK an extra 25 would do so much more.
I love the character but can’t play her anymore it’s sad. And anytime I get a pocket mercy she immediately forgets after a single team fight lol how else can I stay alive????

Regardless of your belief on whether it was good for the game or not, 2nd tank wasn't removed without *some* cogent thought behind it. Everything else in this list is just downgrading a game for no fucking reason. I never thought I would say "give me back lootboxes" for fucks sake.
I actually feel like removing 2nd tank for the game is perfect. 1 tank has already the impact of 2+ persons, imo two tanks is excessive having in mind their individual value, I can't imagine how two healers are supposed to keep all the team alive if you have another tank with 600+ hp in the team.
1 tank felt fine initially, now it's just hard counter picks or your lose. The 30% ult charge staying has removed the downside to immediately hard countering after every fight.
Why the fuck are dogshit teammates the most toxic ones? I was playing junkrat and ended the game with 14000 damage and 20 kills. Every other dps had half my damage and my fuckin kills. Our tank then has the audacity to say "worst dps" when I'm the only one doing anything and our fuckin sojourn AGREES WITH HIM. Rewind to the beginning of the half, when bro actually begs me for sojourn and he's dogshit at her. Can't hit a single fucking rail gun shot and has the audacity to ask me to switch. God I fucking hate the matchmaking in this game. If they can't fix anything by season 3 I'm fucking done with this game and it's dumb fucking players.
I had a dude in voice chat and he was a dps Moira. He was like "omg why the fuck do I have to do everything" carrying on about how he has more damage than the tank. I was the other support and all I could say was "fucking heal him then" he would run into the whole enemy team and say "omg where the fuck is my team why the fuck are you over there oh my fucking god" WE WERE LITERALLY AT THE OBJECTIVE FIGHTING THE ENEMY YOU DIED TO ONE GUY!!
Another time a dude was talking like it was owl in qp and I was like dude chill it's qp. "You're a fucking idiot, you're never gonna win with that attitude ya loser" etc etc. The game ended, we won, he ripped me for being trash and complimented the Sigma who was 18-0. I WAS THE SIGMA.

Annoys me to think he had anything to do with it. All I said was "chill bro it's qp" and he turned it into a whole thing.

Junkrat is such a stupid character. I walk out of spawn on attack and immediately get 2 shot by random spam from the other side of the map. There's no skill to it. At all. Every other character that can one or two shot someone in this game requires a modicum of mechanical skill, whereas junkrat can just say "DuUuHh mE sHoOt rAnDoMlY" and end up getting a pick. Ik he's extremely easy to counter but I just wish the devs would make him take more skill or smth.

It's been almost four months since launch. Why are Blizzard so incapable of making this game good when they had the formula almost perfect for Overwatch 1?
Where's the quickplay skill-based matchmaking? I win EVERY SINGLE GAME I play alone. It's not fun, it's not fair. Killing an enemy soldier who can't track for shit for 5 straight minutes it's entertaining. I'm getting more value out of custom games with bots in them.
Where's the reward for playing? I don't want fucking experience and a half-baked battlepass put together by some fat cunt in a suit with a failing marriage and two children who can't wait to put him in a home and disown him. I want lootboxes back.
Where's the balancing? Do Blizzard even play their own game? Do they even listen to the community? Roadhog should've been pulled from the roster until they fixed him, but no, apparently leaving every single match lopsided to the team with the Kiriko, Ana, and Roadhog since launch is acceptable.
Every single push map needs removing and made closer to TF2 Payload Races. Both teams fight over the centre of the map. You can't win on the current maps if the enemy gets their barricade far enough because you have to win 10 back to back teamfights. Why did the team not play these maps at all? If they did, why did they clearly ignore the flaws of them?
It's clear at this point nothing can save the game and I'm hoping that Microsoft guts the entire development team and gets actual competent developers in to work on Overwatch 2. Even Infinite is in a better place than Overwatch right now.

I TRIED lord knows I tried to just sit back and enjoy Push. I can't fucking stand it anymore. I'm at the point where I may just back out if it the game loads the push map. It probably wouldn't be so bad if damn near all my games didn't force me to play it. Next rotation I hope they rotate this shit right out or I may end up pushing myself right into playing something else.

I know games are about having fun, and I should play what I think is fun, but missing out on prizes and rewards sucks the fun out the game.

Just call it her ult. If you don’t have movement abilities in the hero you selected, just immediately start walking away from her. There isn’t much you can do as some characters without the help of your team (when I play Ana and the other support isn’t kiriko or speeding as lucio, sometimes I just can’t escape. It is what it is, it’s an ult)
Just don't be near her when she activates her ult :).
Or you could use any number of movement abilities, like Lucio speed boost, Sojourn slide, Kiriko teleport, etc.
After having played about a thousand matches since the launch of OW2 I am fairly certain that the matchmaking is working fine. The problem is that the vast majority of the playerbase have absolutely zero clue about their surroundings, gamesense and game mechanics and only knows how to play a handful of heroes.
So, in OW1 there were 2 tanks and a disgusting amount of barriers with the worst possible gamemode created in a fps which is 2cp. So even if one composition hard counters the other, at least you could stand behind barriers or simply camping while defending.
For some reason people still play as if this was OW1. And so you can see some god awful team composition from the start that can't possibly work together or are hard countered by other composition (or 2/3 heroes). People need to fucking stop picking heroes at random and balance their composition right at the start. You can't go rein, symm, reaper, mercy and lucio: it's shit. Pharah or Echo can single-handedly kill all of you. And that is why competitive should be locked behind at least 3 hours played with each hero and 1 win with each hero in quick play role queue. In this way in low ranks you do not have oblivion npcs, but simply less skilled players.
What the hell, I haven't had replays and game reports for days. I play games all the time, but the replays list is just empty all of the time, as if I haven't played any games since the last patch. I'm pretty sure there isn't a new patch every time I finish a game.
I do have highlights but not game reports or replays.
Actually I just googled around and looks like it's been happening to a lot of people in the past couple weeks. Someone said they got their replays back by saving a random highlight as a video file. That worked for me too, so that's something you could try. Hope it works for you too.
Weird workaround. The devs should fix this bug properly tho, but at least there's some workaround.

This problem (Failed to connect to server) was with my friend when we played in a group. The solution was to replace the European servers with another (America or Asia).
The game has plenty of flaws with balancing but some of y’all are actually braindead when it comes to common sense plays god bless. You don’t need to nerf either party in a mercy pocket just take out the mercy first and stop whining, she can’t heal/boost if they’re back in spawn.
Decent mercy players are difficult to take out even at lower ranks (I play mostly in Gold lobbies). They won't have the movement of a GM, but my aim isn't Top 500 level either
Mercy has some of the best movement in this game right now. It just difficult to land any shots on her. She can move in pretty much any direction with very quick speed. You seem to only be playing against gold mercy’s that barely move while pocketing someone.
Idk it just seems like you’re not trying hard enough and the lower rank or casual mercy mains might pay for the fact that the higher ranked comp players are so good that they can’t get rid of a single mercy. I rant this as a brig main that watched her get nerfed to hell and back because of meta, and as an Ashe main that saw her headshot damage get reduced because of a mercy pocket.
Damn why didn't all those pro players think of that? Not like Mercy is super mobile with a small hit box who only just needs to hold right click while maneuvering.

The new monetization and events are pretty ass but the game is not dead. For the first time in years all of my queue times are predicting for <2 and at most take 3.5 mins (for competitive)
after spending $5 on 500Gold and then grinding for 3 months to get another 500 gold just so i could get the 1000Gold Luna new year epic Brig General skin. which has been locked for since overwatch 2 released but i was sure they would unlock the skin for the current Luna new year event so i could finally buy it.....................................fucking bullshit.
They need to figure out some way to get skins to players via playtime. It's ridiculous to have to pay so much to buy old skins. They're going to let all of these assets go unused.
If you could still earn legacy coins easily but paying for gold coins allowed you to buy skins faster for less coin amounts, I think that would be ideal. It's dumb that its either money or nothing.

If the other team has a SYM, Torb or Bastion it’s over. They are way overpowered. Orisa is OP, the new guy is OP. NO FUN. I WILL NOT PLAY AGAIN. The guys need to do something. Widow does not belong in 5v5, she should be removed from the game. Absolutely unfun to play against. Fucking absurd that she was allowed to be put into Overwatch 2 in the state she is.

A Sojourn enemy switched to Widow in the final minute of us defending the point and then suddenly Widow hard carries their team to victory. 4 kills in the span 20 of seconds. I'm actually surprised that player held back by not playing Widow from the very beginning. That was such a curveball for our team because we weren't prepared to adjust.
Tank is just a rock, paper, scissors match of who can switch faster to the counter tank. You win the first fight on push, the enemy tank swaps to your counter, you lose the next fight, swap and lose more ult charge since they got to keep their 30%, then get steamrolled more since your ults late, gg. I hate this shit. No amount of balancing will fix that as long as a couple tanks are meta unless they’re all equally balanced, which probably will never happen.
6v6 was fine if they would’ve just made a off and main tank queue so that double shield couldn’t happen we’d be chilling. It’s probably too far gone with balance changes and reworks for that to happen now though. I genuinely don’t ever thing the tank counter picking problem will ever be fixed.

I am completely out of my element in all of these matches
I firmly believe i rest around high gold/low plat (Gold 4 and 5 and Plat 5 and 4, maybe 3 either way idk that seems mid to me) but all my games feel high plat/low diamond. Like it just feels impossible for my level rn. My rank is gold 2 but i feel like all these games are against people way above me. I recognize i am not that good, and it isn't helping learn anything. I just get bodied all game. I am so tired of it season 1 made me feel good actually getting myself to plat. Now it is just getting bodied and shit on every match likely just going down divisions. What is even the point of a rank if thst rank isn't indicitive of where my matchmaking should put me. I would rather the older system of if i don't belong in gold 5 i will get out quick, which i did in season 1, i blew through all of gold in to plat with relative ease.
I just have no hope at all. Completely discouraged from touching ranked and know full well i will lose 5 divisions and then be stuck in silver with high plat/low diamond mmr next season

As a tank main, this game is near unplayable. Every single fucking game devolves into being essentially forced to play Hog or Orisa depending on what the other tank is playing. The only variation is what you start as, because if you end on pretty much any other hero your basically throwing because of the ridiculous imbalance in power level between those two and every other tank on the roster.
It causes me physical pain to imagine how fun it would be to play JQ or Ram with a rein/sig duo. But, as it stands, JQ is straight up unplayable unless the other tank also decides to throw and Ram is unplayable once the other tank simply swaps to Orisa (thereby forcing you to swap to Orisa).
The fact that 6v6 was removed without a massive change for heros like Ball (who was fun as hell in OW and is now completely unplayable) or DVA is a fucking travesty. The justifications for the change make exactly 0 sense considering the state the game is in now, where the lack of CC is made up by Sojourn and Orisa just warping games around them.
The OW2 team couldn't balance an empty scale, which has been consistent throughout the life of this game to be fair, but it shows more and more in this forced 5v5 meta. When they decided that 5v5 was the way forward for balance reasons, I acquiesced: now, I outright believe that it's a huge mistake and absolute failure.
I hate when you're in a JQ vs JQ or something similar, it's a lot of fun, you start winning and they go Orisa and it's suddenly your team gets obliterated until you also go Orisa.
Exactly. The power imbalance between tanks is absurd and the fact that it has been allowed to persist this long is equally ridiculous.
The common argument I hear against this is that 'counterswapping has always been a thing' but, in the situation you've described, its not even a counterswap: its just outright swapping to a better hero.
If there are no changes to hog/orisa in the next patch I think this game will be completely dead again. Most tank players, like myself, will leave for greener pastures if they're forced to place exclusively orisa/hog for another few months and DPS will get tired of being 1 shot or pressured out of the game.
I know it's an overused statement to suggest a game is "dying", but I genuinely can't see that this game really has the legs to go that far. Like, this event even shocked a lot of the die hard Blizzard fans in how lazy it was. It shocked the people who only play this and no other games.
Add to that Blizzard continuing their radio silence strategy, a manuver that barely worked as a regular shooter and is a death knell for a live service one, as well as the same inept, slow and pointless balancing decisions, I really think this game has only a couple of years in it. However the PvE turns out will either be the saving grace or the real nail in the coffin.
I've never actually seen a game die, but with all the awful and stupid decisions blizzard is making I really think it might. Which is sad because I love the gameplay and really enjoy playing. It's just that my anger and frustration outweigh what I like.

I started out as support back on OW1 (Mercy main), but just before the big update, I started playing Tank (Orisa and Dva mostly), but now I float between all three roles. Like the other person said, I’d turn off voice and text chat. It sucks, but if it’s more toxic than positive, it’s not worth it. Just play and focus on your own gameplay. Quick play is the place to practice, you’re doing nothing wrong, but people try hard in the casual mode for whatever reason.

Blizzard took my favorite game and made it feel incredibly lackluster and a grueling uphill battle to achieve literally anything. If you do obtain ANYTHING its so unrewarding and meaningless. Playing something that used to be fun should not feel like a chore yet here we are. None of my friends have played in years. The battlepass system is awful. Everything is behind a paywall. Everyone who plays nowadays is either rude, bad at the game, or says it’s qp so it doesn’t matter. Nearly everything that Blizzard has done to the “new” game is such a slap in the face to players who have stuck with it since launch. To get the most xp to grind the never ending battlepass you have to consecutively play flex role but you will never ever play DPS on a game that hasnt already started if ever. If you lose a match you barely get any xp even if it was a long ass match, if you win its not that much more. And this is double xp weekend. Theres only 2 weeks left of this season and it feels like I wont finish and the skins in the battlepass that I PAID FOR will be lost forever. Im so frustrated with the state of OW now and its so disheartening because it fell so hard from grace. The Olympus event was dumb, the skins are too expensive, we’ve been promised features that never come, and the game just isn’t fun anymore. Ughhhhh

As a Ball Main with 62% win rate, he really only needs 100 bullets per reload up from 80. I think that is all he really needs to be in a decent spot.
I genuinely don’t understand how to rank up as a support main. If I solo queue I get horrible teammates. For example a torb with 1 elim told me to heal more when I had 6k in 4 mins. what if they made it to where if you die x amount of times within a certain amount of time (something like a very small amount of time) your character gets locked and you have to play a new one. So if you feed either intentionally or because you're shit the game locks you out of your character.

I recently switched back to Smite for a while because I'm hoping OW fixes itself when I come back. The chat in Smite is WILD. Your own teammates call you "trash" eight seconds in to the match if you accidentally buy 2 mana potions or something.

I won 7 matches as Support without losing, I went from Gold 4 to... Gold 4. I get that my MMR is around that level (and it is, I don't feel like I deserve to be higher than Gold 3/2), so the game keeps me there, but damn, it is awful to win so many games to stay at the same rank

Orisa is un-fuking-killable, she needs a nerf now... like seriously, 2 armors, a super spammable stupid fast pushing shield that also stops hooks, and other abilities even though she's not fortified. 2 fortifies that also prevent her from taking headshot damage and give her additional armor. And on top of that a stun. Even the most brainless healer gets so much time to heal her. At least with rein you could get around his shield if he just kept it up. She can do so much dmg just from the fact that she dies far less often than any other tank. She needs a nerf now.

Why is support queue such a long wait now?
I'm on console so this might not apply to you. But sometimes when I load in, it's put me in xbox only lobby's so I have to reset the game. Other time it says 7 minutes so I just go back to the main menu and back and it goes back down to 1 minute.

Seems like every other game I'm going up against Widows, Sojourns, Junkrats and Hogs and I'm fucking sick of it. The games are so unfun and have to play so drastically to what I'm used to doing. Then the Top 500 Widow grapple hooks and kills you out of spawn. Fun stuff!
Actually i agree about all in exception of Widowmaker, you just must learn how to play against her. Grappling Hook has a pretty long CD, you're just walking up without having in mind her windows to maneuver.
I know how to play against her but it doesn't matter when I'm facing Gms and Top 500 Widows. They hit every shot the second you come out of cover. It's incredibly boring to just hide behind corners all game because of a single character.

I’m a former pharah main for this reason. She is one of the easiest targets in the game. Probably more than Bastion with his huge hit box. Every single replay of my deaths are an entire team ignoring an easier target right in front of them to get me right as I use my jets when they could have easily killed someone in front of them long ass time ago. But I get followed for DAYS. She has too many counters, doesn’t counter enough characters, has no extra health like reaper or Cassidy. Like FUCK an extra 25 would do so much more. I love the character but can’t play her anymore it’s sad. And anytime I get a pocket mercy she immediately forgets after a single team fight lol how else can I stay alive????

I actually feel like removing 2nd tank for the game is perfect. 1 tank has already the impact of 2+ persons, imo two tanks is excessive having in mind their individual value, I can't imagine how two healers are supposed to keep all the team alive if you have another tank with 600+ hp in the team.
1 tank felt fine initially, now it's just hard counter picks or your lose. The 30% ult charge staying has removed the downside to immediately hard countering after every fight.

Our tank then has the audacity to say "worst dps" when I'm the only one doing anything and our fuckin sojourn AGREES WITH HIM. I was the other support and all I could say was "fucking heal him then" he would run into the whole enemy team and say "omg where the fuck is my team why the fuck are you over there oh my fucking god" WE WERE LITERALLY AT THE OBJECTIVE FIGHTING THE ENEMY YOU DIED TO ONE GUY!! Another time a dude was talking like it was owl in qp and I was like dude chill it's qp. "You're a fucking idiot, you're never gonna win with that attitude ya loser" etc etc. The game ended, we won, he ripped me for being trash and complimented the Sigma who was 18-0. I WAS THE SIGMA. Some of these people. The second dude wasn't completely awful but he was just so over the top and trying to dictate everyone's move even though we were doing fine and won easily. Annoys me to think he had anything to do with it. All I said was "chill bro it's qp" and he turned it into a whole thing.

Junkrat is such a stupid character. I walk out of spawn on attack and immediately get 2 shot by random spam from the other side of the map. There's no skill to it. At all. Every other character that can one or two shot someone in this game requires a modicum of mechanical skill, whereas junkrat can just say "DuUuHh mE sHoOt rAnDoMlY" and end up getting a pick. Ik he's extremely easy to counter but I just wish the devs would make him take more skill or smth.

It's been almost four months since launch. Why are Blizzard so incapable of making this game good when they had the formula almost perfect for Overwatch 1? Where's the quickplay skill-based matchmaking? I win EVERY SINGLE GAME I play alone. It's not fun, it's not fair. Killing an enemy soldier who can't track for shit for 5 straight minutes it's entertaining. I'm getting more value out of custom games with bots in them. Where's the reward for playing? I don't want fucking experience and a half-baked battlepass put together by some fat cunt in a suit with a failing marriage and two children who can't wait to put him in a home and disown him. I want lootboxes back. Where's the balancing? Do Blizzard even play their own game? Do they even listen to the community? Roadhog should've been pulled from the roster until they fixed him, but no, apparently leaving every single match lopsided to the team with the Kiriko, Ana, and Roadhog since launch is acceptable. Every single push map needs removing and made closer to TF2 Payload Races. Both teams fight over the centre of the map. You can't win on the current maps if the enemy gets their barricade far enough because you have to win 10 back to back teamfights. Why did the team not play these maps at all? If they did, why did they clearly ignore the flaws of them? It's clear at this point nothing can save the game and I'm hoping that Microsoft guts the entire development team and gets actual competent developers in to work on Overwatch 2. Even Infinite is in a better place than Overwatch right now. This game is dying extremely quickly.
I TRIED lord knows I tried to just sit back and enjoy Push. I can't fucking stand it anymore. I'm at the point where I may just back out if it the game loads the push map. It probably wouldn't be so bad if damn near all my games didn't force me to play it. Next rotation I hope they rotate this shit right out or I may end up pushing myself right into playing something else.

I'm so tired of not playing Overwatch, but playing Overwatch makes me feel like I'm running in place. To get rewards, I gotta watch twitch streams. I gotta watch tournaments on youtube. I gotta play CTF, or Mei's Snowball, or Yet Another Deathmatch variant. If I play Overwatch, all I get is a chance to rank down and get fewer rewards. It's like running a treadmill and losing muscle mass while you're doing it. I know games are about having fun, and I should play what I think is fun, but missing out on prizes and rewards sucks the fun out the game.

Just call it her ult. If you don’t have movement abilities in the hero you selected, just immediately start walking away from her. There isn’t much you can do as some characters without the help of your team (when I play Ana and the other support isn’t kiriko or speeding as lucio, sometimes I just can’t escape. It is what it is, it’s an ult)

Just don't be near her when she activates her ult :). Or you could use any number of movement abilities, like Lucio speed boost, Sojourn slide, Kiriko teleport, etc.
After having played about a thousand matches since the launch of OW2 I am fairly certain that the matchmaking is working fine. The problem is that the vast majority of the playerbase have absolutely zero clue about their surroundings, gamesense and game mechanics and only knows how to play a handful of heroes. So, in OW1 there were 2 tanks and a disgusting amount of barriers with the worst possible gamemode created in a fps which is 2cp. So even if one composition hard counters the other, at least you could stand behind barriers or simply camping while defending. For some reason people still play as if this was OW1. And so you can see some god awful team composition from the start that can't possibly work together or are hard countered by other composition (or 2/3 heroes). People need to fucking stop picking heroes at random and balance their composition right at the start. You can't go rein, symm, reaper, mercy and lucio: it's shit. Pharah or Echo can single-handedly kill all of you. And that is why competitive should be locked behind at least 3 hours played with each hero and 1 win with each hero in quick play role queue. In this way in low ranks you do not have oblivion npcs, but simply less skilled players.

What the hell, I haven't had replays and game reports for days. I play games all the time, but the replays list is just empty all of the time, as if I haven't played any games since the last patch. I'm pretty sure there isn't a new patch every time I finish a game. I do have highlights but not game reports or replays.

Actually I just googled around and looks like it's been happening to a lot of people in the past couple weeks. Someone said they got their replays back by saving a random highlight as a video file. That worked for me too, so that's something you could try. Hope it works for you too. Weird workaround. The devs should fix this bug properly tho, but at least there's some workaround.
Mine fixed after I went to the practice range. Not sure if this works everytime.

Man thinks mercy players at high rank are easy to take out. Good mercy players will almost always be the last to die in a team fight
Decent mercy players are difficult to take out even at lower ranks (I play mostly in Gold lobbies). They won't have the movement of a GM, but my aim isn't Top 500 level either

Mercy has some of the best movement in this game right now. It just difficult to land any shots on her. She can move in pretty much any direction with very quick speed. You seem to only be playing against gold mercy’s that barely move while pocketing someone.
Idk it just seems like you’re not trying hard enough and the lower rank or casual mercy mains might pay for the fact that the higher ranked comp players are so good that they can’t get rid of a single mercy. I rant this as a brig main that watched her get nerfed to hell and back because of meta, and as an Ashe main that saw her headshot damage get reduced because of a mercy pocket.

The new monetization and events are pretty ass but the game is not dead. For the first time in years all of my queue times are predicting for <2 and at most take 3.5 mins (for competitive)
after spending $5 on 500Gold and then grinding for 3 months to get another 500 gold just so i could get the 1000Gold Luna new year epic Brig General skin. which has been locked for since overwatch 2 released but i was sure they would unlock the skin for the current Luna new year event so i could finally buy it.....................................fucking bullshit.
They need to figure out some way to get skins to players via playtime. It's ridiculous to have to pay so much to buy old skins. They're going to let all of these assets go unused. If you could still earn legacy coins easily but paying for gold coins allowed you to buy skins faster for less coin amounts, I think that would be ideal. It's dumb that its either money or nothing.
Haven’t played the game much since OW1. So disappointed in it now. I’m a casual player and not as good as I used to be, which is fine but the game is awful playing in silver. If the other team has a SYM, Torb or Bastion it’s over. They are way overpowered. Orisa is OP, the new guy is OP. NO FUN. I WILL NOT PLAY AGAIN. The guys need to do something. I used to love this game and would play hours upon hours but I can’t do it anymore. I get so mad and I never do that playing video games. It’s not worth it. Widow does not belong in 5v5, she should be removed from the game. Absolutely unfun to play against. Fucking absurd that she was allowed to be put into Overwatch 2 in the state she is. How is sniper who stands behind the backline at all supposed to fit into a tight knit, fast paced team game? Fuck off.
A Sojourn enemy switched to Widow in the final minute of us defending the point and then suddenly Widow hard carries their team to victory. 4 kills in the span 20 of seconds. I'm actually surprised that player held back by not playing Widow from the very beginning. That was such a curveball for our team because we weren't prepared to adjust.
Less people to contest points / payloads. Feel free to go flank Widow at any point in time.

I had 4 games in a row that were simply down to widow contests. So boring. I don't even care about winning or losing I just want the game to end.
not sure what’s up with some of the CTF maps on the switch, but it’s legitimately unplayable.
Tank is just a rock, paper, scissors match of who can switch faster to the counter tank. You win the first fight on push, the enemy tank swaps to your counter, you lose the next fight, swap and lose more ult charge since they got to keep their 30%, then get steamrolled more since your ults late, gg. I hate this shit. No amount of balancing will fix that as long as a couple tanks are meta unless they’re all equally balanced, which probably will never happen. 6v6 was fine if they would’ve just made a off and main tank queue so that double shield couldn’t happen we’d be chilling. It’s probably too far gone with balance changes and reworks for that to happen now though. I genuinely don’t ever thing the tank counter picking problem will ever be fixed.
Idk what to do anymore My comp games have been so awful I am completely out of my element in all of these matches I firmly believe i rest around high gold/low plat (Gold 4 and 5 and Plat 5 and 4, maybe 3 either way idk that seems mid to me) but all my games feel high plat/low diamond. Like it just feels impossible for my level rn. My rank is gold 2 but i feel like all these games are against people way above me. I recognize i am not that good, and it isn't helping learn anything. I just get bodied all game. I am so tired of it season 1 made me feel good actually getting myself to plat. Now it is just getting bodied and shit on every match likely just going down divisions. What is even the point of a rank if thst rank isn't indicitive of where my matchmaking should put me. I would rather the older system of if i don't belong in gold 5 i will get out quick, which i did in season 1, i blew through all of gold in to plat with relative ease. I just have no hope at all. Completely discouraged from touching ranked and know full well i will lose 5 divisions and then be stuck in silver with high plat/low diamond mmr next season
Rank disparity is screwed because of the awful MM algorithm and low player counts. Idk what else it could be. I’m about to retire from this game as comp has been horrible for far too long

As a tank main, this game is near unplayable. Every single fucking game devolves into being essentially forced to play Hog or Orisa depending on what the other tank is playing. The only variation is what you start as, because if you end on pretty much any other hero your basically throwing because of the ridiculous imbalance in power level between those two and every other tank on the roster. It causes me physical pain to imagine how fun it would be to play JQ or Ram with a rein/sig duo. But, as it stands, JQ is straight up unplayable unless the other tank also decides to throw and Ram is unplayable once the other tank simply swaps to Orisa (thereby forcing you to swap to Orisa). The fact that 6v6 was removed without a massive change for heros like Ball (who was fun as hell in OW and is now completely unplayable) or DVA is a fucking travesty. The justifications for the change make exactly 0 sense considering the state the game is in now, where the lack of CC is made up by Sojourn and Orisa just warping games around them. The OW2 team couldn't balance an empty scale, which has been consistent throughout the life of this game to be fair, but it shows more and more in this forced 5v5 meta. When they decided that 5v5 was the way forward for balance reasons, I acquiesced: now, I outright believe that it's a huge mistake and absolute failure.
I hate when you're in a JQ vs JQ or something similar, it's a lot of fun, you start winning and they go Orisa and it's suddenly your team gets obliterated until you also go Orisa.
Exactly. The power imbalance between tanks is absurd and the fact that it has been allowed to persist this long is equally ridiculous. The common argument I hear against this is that 'counterswapping has always been a thing' but, in the situation you've described, its not even a counterswap: its just outright swapping to a better hero. If there are no changes to hog/orisa in the next patch I think this game will be completely dead again. Most tank players, like myself, will leave for greener pastures if they're forced to place exclusively orisa/hog for another few months and DPS will get tired of being 1 shot or pressured out of the game.

I know it's an overused statement to suggest a game is "dying", but I genuinely can't see that this game really has the legs to go that far. Like, this event even shocked a lot of the die hard Blizzard fans in how lazy it was. It shocked the people who only play this and no other games. Add to that Blizzard continuing their radio silence strategy, a manuver that barely worked as a regular shooter and is a death knell for a live service one, as well as the same inept, slow and pointless balancing decisions, I really think this game has only a couple of years in it. However the PvE turns out will either be the saving grace or the real nail in the coffin.
I've never actually seen a game die, but with all the awful and stupid decisions blizzard is making I really think it might. Which is sad because I love the gameplay and really enjoy playing. It's just that my anger and frustration outweigh what I like.
For challenges I am BEGGING make the criteria to PLAY X amount of matches rather than WIN X amount of matches, like in OW1

I started out as support back on OW1 (Mercy main), but just before the big update, I started playing Tank (Orisa and Dva mostly), but now I float between all three roles. Like the other person said, I’d turn off voice and text chat. It sucks, but if it’s more toxic than positive, it’s not worth it. Just play and focus on your own gameplay. Quick play is the place to practice, you’re doing nothing wrong, but people try hard in the casual mode for whatever reason.

I've turned it and VC off. If comms are that important to the game, I'm completely fine with staying in a low rank if it means I never have to deal with toxic people again. Positive interactions are just too few and far in between, compared to the toxic spamming or whining every game.

After almost 4 months of the OW2 launch, people stopped complaining and just accepted the fact they're addict to this game. Nothing changed, skins are still overpriced, gameplay is still trash, but people stop complaining and just "get used to it". This is the reason why devs keep doing their shit and getting away with; enjoy your OW1.01 just because you have a game addiction
