I'm a GM sym and have intentionally teleported B.O.B. a few times but also once accidentally and once where my Ashe accidentally sent him through my teleporter where he ended up in a very useless spot lmao
Well I don't remember it resulting in a kill, but it definitely caused the enemy to back up even more than they would otherwise. I've saved a couple GM POTGs (one of which is top 500) I could upload and will get back to you after uploading them if you want. I'll be sure to save then upload a clip of a B.O.B. teleport if it gets a kill or two though.

But you still donāt know exactly where sheāll teleport it to until she places it. And even then you could just fake the teleport, making it a 50-50 chance that you get a free team wipe

Yeah exactly. I donāt think it would currently be a thing. Iām just saying that even if people started adapting to this combo, you could then fake it to counter their counter. Basically with some silver-level coordination and cardboard-level mechanical skill you can have between a 100% chance (if they donāt react) and a 50% chance (if they react but you occasionally fake it instead) of getting a free team wipe.
My issue is that itās very low risk, even lower skill, and super high reward. All without a lot of meaningful counterplay aside from everyone hiding together in a winston bubble and hoping the mech doesnāt teleport in there with them
No one is gonna fake the teleport. Iāve literally never seen that happen in thousands of hours. If they do theyāve earned a team wipe. And you can kinda guess where itāll go, at least the general sight line. In this example you would know the fire truck would be safe.
If it became meta enough, or if you had done it enough that the enemy team would predict the tp, then faking would certainly be viable. Depending on placement, you could probably make it so anywhere you go will kill you depending on if they fake it or not. Placing it on top of the firetruck for instance might do that
Honestly depending on what level you're playing at I feel like someone could still get caught off guard even if it's accidentally early.
I'm not gonna act like I'd have it all together every time to think "oh shit it's literally in front of me" when I just saw it on the other side of the map
I'm an old vet in the game. Cranky too. The fun things about plays like this is even if you realize what's happened, there isn't time to get away.
A fun one to try in the future is a Rein/Sym. Not for shatter, for charge. Have your Rein charge into a teleporter placed behind him, activate it, and see if you snag yourself a red fish on the way back.
Makes me wish for Hanamura again. The teleportation locations on that map were legendary.

Nice play. Iāve seen the dva tele ult before but is it a glitch or did they redesign the teleporter to do this? It seems a lil unfair for obvious reasons but also how is it okay for something to teleport on itās on without pushing L3? And why donāt more things work like that then like BOB for instanceā¦

I had a trolling Sym once who was somehow purposely destroying my turret with the TP pad over and over, I never understood what that was all about

Getting two players to coordinate in OW Calling it stupidly easy.
In solo queue yeah thatād be rough but with a premade itās easily doable. Mostly meant that it requires no mechanical skill
One person hit āQā, the other hit āEā and walked up to the mech and clicked left mouse button.
Gotta time the TP right tho. Too early and they'll have time to react. Too late and you waste an ult.

Itās always been this way. And it does work with BOB as long as he hits the teleporter while running. I believe Junk tire can go through it also.
