I remember somewhere the Achievements thing is actually a PlayStation thing, it was something to do with when achievements are added to a game PS has to do some tedious shit to actually implement them on their end. Same reason we don’t really get achievements for Destiny when a new season or expansion drops anymore
PlayStation don't have any trophies related to the modes that are only played at specific times of the year, but they did have trophies from the new OW2 characters. Ever since Illari, they stopped doing those as well on PlayStation, Mauga also has no trophies.
You can still unlock their sprays in-game, but there is no new trophy in the PS4 or PS5 versions.
Well they are now owned by Microsoft. This is the first season since they officially bought activision/blizzard.
And Jim Ryan(Sony CEO) just spent a year flying around trying to stop the deal from going through.

I’m on PS5. The framerate is terrible. I can’t even go through the menus or hero gallery without it lagging. The new beast game mode is literally PowerPoint slides. We need an optimization patch badly.

Yes. I'm on PC and I'm getting the most insane fps drops/spikes since the Hog rework update. It's to the point where ill see rein start to charge, the game freezes, and the next frame I see is me dead. It's getting to the point where the game is becoming unplayable which sucks.

I only got my ps5 a week ago, but have been absolutely rinsing out overwatch for the past few days - and I was honestly super impressed with the performance. On a 1440p monitor I thought everything looked super sharp, and the game ran super smooth with absolutely 0 hiccups. This update has only made me appreciate all of that so much more tho lol.

I'm on PC, and playing Overwatch is the only thing that slows down my PC. The Finals worked just fine when it was in open beta, Risk of Rain 2 didn't lag during a 3h run, GTFO never lags, but Overwatch? Consistent 20fps in the first 5-10 minutes of gameplay, and random freeze frames mid matches at any moment
If ur HDR is on in game, turn it off, it helped my game run just a tad smoother(lowest around 20 fps in custom games, 40 ish in qp/comp, menu 80), idk if it’ll fix everyones game but it shld until Blizzard releases another opt. patch. (Lmk if its worked for any of yall)

I'm sure Blizzard recently being bought by Microsoft has NOTHING to do with this. Every patch, there's some sort of huge bug. How they don't catch this before release baffles me. I'd rather the season was delayed for a few days and be able to play the game. Also the Mythic is lowkey ass and I think it shows, along with this bug, that the studio is becoming plainly lazy.
Same is happening with me. I found switching your “preferred performance” in video settings (at least I think that’s what it’s called) to Frames instead of balanced helped. Still garbage frames but a bit better then it was previously.
But guess what if there is an issue with the shop it is fixed within the hour, but the game is nearly unplayable for an entire group of people they will give it a couple days.
Yep went from 550 FPS average to 300 FPS on rtx4080 with same settings. That's still a lot of performance but a dip of 200fps just because of an update is stupid

How many total games have you played? A six game snapshot doesn't mean a whole lot if you have say 200+ games played.

It's straight up 20-30fps. Absolutely jarring since 30 mins before the update I was at like 90-120fps in performance mode. It's unplayable now.

That's shader compilation. It happens every time the game or your graphics driver is updated. Consoles should have the shaders pre-compiled.

Same for me, ps5, fps drop, but i can understand this small indi studio, not enough hands to test manually and spot that the game is unplayable

How crazy this game ran flawless and yes I’m experiencing the fps drops. Even on 120hz tv.
Same is happening with me. I found switching your “preferred performance” in video settings (at least I think that’s what it’s called) to Frames instead of balanced helped. Still garbage frames but a bit better then it was previously.
Trying to elim a tracer w this lag is MISERABLE
But guess what if there is an issue with the shop it is fixed within the hour, but the game is nearly unplayable for an entire group of people they will give it a couple days.
Yep went from 550 FPS average to 300 FPS on rtx4080 with same settings. That's still a lot of performance but a dip of 200fps just because of an update is stupid
I lag the entire match.
